Thanks forum hosts, or whomever is responsible for moving this thread, for turning it into garbage!

I guess it's the reference to the R word that they don't like.
Yeah, I get it, but it's trivial. When Gibson stopped the production of Sonar, I went in search of another DAW. I first took advantage of the Samplitude deal. Now Samplitude has some awesome features, like their metering, and the Object editor, which is awesome, but it didn't click with me. I still use it for some things. I bought Reaper and love composing, and recording in it, but when push came to shove, and I got some work composing music for a film, I mixed everything in Cakewalk. I've been using Cakewalk products for over 25 years, and it is what I am the most comfortable working in. But I've found there is no perfect DAW, and they all offer something a little different.

You're welcome! Here are instructions on using Melodyne with Reaper ARA2:

Ridiculous that this has been moved to the coffee house from the instruments/effects forum, since ARA2 impacts Melodyne, which at my last look was an EFFECT! But as Mr. Burger King once said, "have it your way..."

I've just tested it out, and Melodyne seems to be working very well.

A Band Called Death. The documentary is about the 1970s rock band Death and their new-found popularity decades after the group recorded their music.
In their teenage years, the three brothers emerge as, first, a budding rock/funk band, heavily influenced by Motown & Parliament, ultimately evolving into pioneers of punk music.

Good memory! You are correct!

Dragging the audio clip to a midi track used to work like a charm, but for me, 9 out of 10 times Cakewalk/Sonar crashes. A safer bet is to right click on the audio clip and create a Region FX, and then drag the audio clip to the midi track. That has worked for me, every time.

From the Cakewalk/Sonar Documentation:
The Process > Fit to Time and Process > Fit Improvisation commands can also be used to introduce tempo changes into your work file. For more information, see Stretching and shrinking events and Fit Improvisation.

Thanks, Canopus! Carbon is absolutely gorgeous! I love that the tracks in console view are able to be fully colored!

I'm running Kontakt 5.81. On the very top, to the left. you will seen the word, "Kontakt" To the right of that you will see a few icons. The first icon is the "Save" button. The second icon is the "Options" button, and right next to that is another button. Click on that button, and check "Info," and you will see the information that you seek.

ABOUT THE FILM
Music lovers will be astonished at the influence The Wrecking Crew wielded over rock and pop music in the 1960s and early 1970s. These unsung instrumentalists were the de-facto backing band on hit records by The Beach Boys, Phil Spector, Frank Sinatra, Nancy Sinatra, Sonny & Cher, Elvis, The Monkees and many more. These dedicated musicians brought the flair and musicianship that made the American “West Coast Sound” a dominant cultural force around the world.

I have the same issue and it has bothered me for years...what I always do is right click on the fader and assign it to my midi Behringer x-touch mini...then re save the Kontact file. I know you wanted to avoid that.
I'm going to look into CosmicDolphin's solution...I did not realize that was an option.
Please read my post. All you need to do is click on the wrench icon for the instrument you're working with, and uncheck accept standard controllers for volume and pan

Turn off "Accept standard controllers for Volume and Pan" Click the wrench icon and uncheck accept standard controllers for volume and pan.

You've got me wrong. I love those guys. I like writing stupid stuff. It's my favorite past time. Nothing against them. I'm just pointing out the fact of the consequeces of putting a legitimate thread in the coffee house.
