wow. that is an insane deal on one of the best instruments there ever was. its not updated and i think it might be NI legacy abandonware, but if you have no need for new gui and are using an older system and dont have komplete, this is amazing

Last year they updated it to VST3 in windows 10 systems.

This post!!!! This is exactly why it may be a good idea to wait a day or two before pulling the trigger -- as Larry will beat his own deals!

Also, if you have Jam Points at IK, they work for this sale, so you can reduce the price a little lower than JRR's price if you have enough Jam Points to take the maximum 30% off from the sale price. I know, because I tried and am still contemplating whether to pick this up or not.

    Hi all,

I'm really upset as I lost all the setting-up that I had done in order to classify and organise my plugins a particular way. I had done it years ago and now I simply cant remember how I did it back in the day.

Let me show you what i am referring to:

    I open cakewalk> utilities> plugin manager

Then I click new (see circled part of screenshot below). When I save the new pgl file, and go back to Insert audio FX, the new layout is just not there despite saving. (screenshot below)

If anyone can, PLEASE, PLEASE help me! I lost all my hard work of separating these plugs because I clicked the 'X' by mistake.

But I did run into a problem a while back after installing a rival DAW which installed generic ASIO drivers

I had problems with Reaper generic ASIO drivers. Reinstalled Reaper and unchecked the option of installing theeir ASIO. Problem solved for me.

  6. Template updated to include the Piano Steinway Model D.

BBC SO Discover Template for Cakewalk:

For those who have Cakewalk and bought or grabbed Spitfire's BBC Symphony Orchestra Discover for free, I created a simple Template to load all the instruments of the Orchestra with instrument icons, family colors, the tracks all named and separated in folders. There is no mystery. It is very basic. Just to have a starting point and not spend more than 2 hours assembling everything before starting to create music.

Note: This consumes about 5.72 gigs of RAM to load all instruments.

Note 2: If you make modifications to the template, it is better to leave the .png image next to the .cwt file when doing SAVE if you still want it to appear as a Template icon on the Cakewalk home screen.

    (PT-BR)

Template BBC SO Discover para Cakewalk:

Focusrite note in the website: “Please note: FAST Plugins are only available in the following countries:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and USA.
Please be advised, if you have previously used this email address to redeem the FAST Bundle for free in conjunction with this Alan Parsons webinar, you will not be eligible for an additional code. If you understand and agree to the above, please click the box, and submit below.”

Me: “@Focusrite Pro “FAST Plugins are only available in the following countries:(…)” Brazil is not listed. Is that means redeem code will not work for Brazil?”

Focusrite: “FAST codes can only be redeemed in the countries listed on the landing page.

Me: “@Focusrite Pro Focusrite never told country restriction to redeem code. You attract people from several countries and only now informing that the license will be restricted? This is very dishonest.”

Focusrite: “@Rafael Oliveira the invites were for people to come and enjoy the webinar. The stream is available worldwide.”

Me: “@Focusrite Pro It is you:”(…)please sign up for the webinar through the link below. You will then be able to access the FAST Bundle download once the webinar has started.” No country restrictions!”

THEN I WAS BLOCKED BY FOCUSRITE.

Interesting - I went into 'Edit config file' a whole pile of entries  there relating to Reaper ( which I no longer use )  - see below. The soundcraft USB ASIO is what we use. I wonder if I shouldn't delete all those reaper references? Would it make a difference?

I updated Reaper recently and unchecked the option to install the  ASIO driver from Reaper.

  10. LUveler Is A FREE Loudness Plugin By Thomas Mundt (same author of LoudMax)

LUveler is a loudness and dynamics modification plugin compatible with the ITU-R BS.1770 specification. It provides a precise reduction of the dynamics and works as transparently as possible to maintain the sound quality even under heavy use of its compressors and limiters. This allows a wide range of applications, such as matching dynamic material produced according to the EBU R 128 to a much louder platform. Or the automatic leveling of a podcast. Or simply increasing or decreasing loudness without changing the dynamic range. High-quality true peak limiters avoid exceeding the maximum level.

The LUveler plugin was developed for the use in an automated environment using the LADSPA API. A VST version for Windows has been added. Porting it to other platforms and operating systems, such as MacOS, is not planned!

It is also not planned to add meters to the graphical user interface. But there are very good freely available loudness meters, like the Youlean Loudness Meter.
