    Hi Ricky,

Is it possible that you saved your layout in a different directory (other than, C:\Users\computer's name\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core\Plug-in Menu Layouts)?

    Kind regards,

    tecknot

I've moved them all to one folder, made sure Cakewalk's Plugin Menu folder is set right, and still no joy. It's definitely a Cakewalk thing. I've had problems with Melda and Waves plugins showing up/not showing. Just random BS. Any more ideas? THanks!

From Preferences run a VST Reset with Scan in Sandbox and Generate Scan Log enabled

If the log does not help may want to post an image of your scan path from preferences.

Found it. By sheer luck the 91 plugins I was missing were not important to me.  And Cakewalk wasn't looking in the folder where I had my Plugin Menu files were. Now everything is perfect. Thanks, again!!!

  3. I'm running Sonar 8.5.3 on Windows 10.  I have never had a problem until a few days ago when Session Drummer 3, PX percussion Strip, and VX vocal strip all started causing problems during a VST scan. I followed the workaround I found on here, which was to run the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4, but no joy. I did stop the scan errors abut they are still not showing up on my instrument/Audio effects. Does anyone know if an update for Windows has been made in the past few days. I do remember it running something but not sure. Also, does anyone know if running the Microsoft patch above could mess up my system? Thanks.

  4. Hi, my name is Ricky...and I'm a plug-aholic. I have over 1,100 plugins and Sonar no likey.  I remove them from their vst folders, reboot, rescan and they still show up in Plugin Manager. I assume they are looking at the registery and not the plugin folders. Does anyone know a quick and easy way to handle this? Even better would be a batch removal program. .Thanks for your help[.

  5. Every organ plugin I've tried leaves the last notes played still playing after stopping playing. It's obvious they do not receive that final "note off" command but there is nothing I know to do about it. There used to be a setting, as far as I can remember, the sent those events when this happens. I can also turn the notes off my doing a "sweep" up and down my keyboard controller on the specific notes that are hung. What I find strange is that it happens with all the organ plugins I've tried which means it has to be a problem with Sonar.

    Sonar 8.5
