Nothing to add really except to reiterate what a great track this is! Would love to have seen you guys live.

Thanks for listening Kevin - I do have an old crappy video from way back - we did perform that song on it.

This has that raw energy that you get from a well engineered live recording.  The mix is spacious, and each part shines.  The song is terrific, and it sounds like a good time was had by all.  Congrats!

    Thank you Lynn!

Shot a polaroid as Armstrong stepped down, the flash washed out the picture (duh!). I was so bummed...

    Love the tune.

Very interesting composition. Nice changes. Enjoying the harmonies. Nice bass and guitar lines. The instrumentation is clever. I like the space at places. Mix is clear over here. It reminds me of a combination of lots of different songs but none specifically come to mind, but is reminiscent of songs and styles I have liked. Looks like it might be our Arizona senator in that capsule. Really enjoyed it !

Hi Treesha - thank you for your feedback.  And yes, it is Mr Kelly!

Yes, it was a lot of fun!  It would probably kill me if I was doing it now.  Thanks Mark!

Good song and performance. Being a live track it doesn't have the studio polished audio but I think it would have been a great record with all the tasty bells and whistles that studios create 🎶🎶🎶🎶

    Thanks for listening Larry.

Your influences really resonate with me!  I hear all of them and more in this cool song.  Perhaps a little Ben Folds?  I've heard your voice in many different ways, and it never fails to impress.  You have inspired many of us!

Hi Lynn - thank you very much!  I just started testing out the UA Spark plugins and updated the version of this song on the website.  I used their 1176 compressors on individual tracks.  Man I really like those UA plugins so far - I am going to go for the yearly subscription - to my ears they add a lot!

Very good composition. Lots of interesting musical movements all through. Can't help but reference an Andy Partridge/XTC feel, please take as a compliment as they were one of the best 🎶🎶🎶🎶

HI Larry thanks for listening.  Some of my other songs have been compared to XTC as well.  I'm going to have to dig out my old album!

That's a pretty good tune! Reminds me of a band I like - just can't figure out which.

I was (still am) fascinated with space also. As for the age thing, well, I was 9 when my dad, grandfather and I watched Neil land on the moon . . .

    Again, Great tune!

It was a pretty cool time.  I remember sitting in the dark in front of my TV watching the moon walk unfold.  Truly magical.  I was 15 at the time.  Thank you for leaving feedback Russell.

It does indeed have a retro feel back to the late "60's - '70's.  Your vocals sound great and I love that guitar solo.

    Great work!

Thanks for taking time to listen freddy and of course the nice feedback!

  12. I don't know if this helps, but there is a screen recorder called icecream that will allow you to record what is on your screen.  I use it to capture YouTube videos.  It's free for recordings under 5 minutes in length I believe.

Steve, I like the occasional unexpected note in the melody. The song does sound 60s-ish like maybe Gilbert O'Sullivan? (Wow, don't know how that name popped into mind.)
    Well done.

    Thank you Bjorn!

Same here. I would be interested in learning about your influences. I would have guessed Todd is one, of course, maybe even Zappa. Your song was really creative.  It was definitely not a stock, paint by numbers kind of song.  BTW, I went through some of your songs and found your cover of "I'll Be Around" was absolutely superb.

I'd have to say my main influences were The Beatles, Steely Dan, E-Street Band, Elton John and some early Chicago.  Anything early 70's probably influenced me the most.  Thank you for the note about I'll Be Around - that was a great song!

It’s funny, I get “Jethro Tull” mentioned more than any other band when they hear my stuff. It’s not deliberate, but those influences are deeply embedded!

That's for sure!  Most of us probably learned the same way ... from the bands we admired.  I know I did.

    Nice guitar work.

Yeugh - slide rules - I never understood how to use that wretched thing (still don't). I still have my original one up in the loft and thought, that must be worth a few quid after nearly fifty years. 🤔

It was too - circa £3.50!

So much for my retirement heirloom 😂

Anyway, I digress, really nice job on the song.

    Andy

🙂  I picked up my old slide rule a couple of weeks ago (inherited from my dad) and tried to remember how it worked.  COuldn't even do a simple multiplication any more.  The placing of the decimal point was always difficult for me.  A little before the calculators became affordable, I got a circular slide rule that was pretty cool.

I love this. I’m getting Fairport Convention and Lindisfarne, how fantastic. Beautifully played, sung and produced too, great job.

Thank you Marshall.  When I used to gig, people would mention Fairport Convention to us once in a while - I guess it is an influence on me!

Wow, great job on the songwriting and performance.  It's really creative and especially because of the harmonies it has a Utopia vibe - and I mean that in a very positive sense (I'm a big Todd Rundgren / Utopia fan).  Kudos.

Wow thank you!  I never got to see Utopia, but I saw Todd by himself one time.
