  1. I actually meant with the backing track and overall production, and yes I maybe overdid the reverb.
  2. Current WIP: Initial attempt:
  3. All the songs I've written are a blend of Alicia Keys and Norah Jones, plus a few Ragtime influenced upbeat tracks. I have about 3 albums worth of leading tracks written that are on par with this track, albeit myself still learning and improving both the recording and singing. I'm currently working on another cover of an RnB balad that fits my natural voice a lot better without needing to edit anything as another vocal demo. Well I finished the intro and recording all the vocals for my next cover, I think I'll try adding bass and maybe strings to this track now.
  4. At 1:47 its a deliberate vocal change into my choir voice to add more power to that part. And I tried shortening my name again but the forum will keep on resetting it.
  5. Thanks, I was overthinking of what more I could add to it and completely forgot about the bass guitar. I am normally doing a drum loop, bass and either guitar or piano on all my other songs so far. My voice actually struggles with the verses for this song because it's too thick / classical-ish for quiet sections, but I figured out what I had to do was reduce the mid tones and increase the low and high using Nectar software. My other demo I just posted of Mr. King Dice has my unedited vocals and what suits me a lot better.
  6. I made two songs today, this one and my King Dice cover.
  7. I believe this is my strongest demo so far.
  8. Changed the link to a new better vocal recording. A rather simple break up song, lyrics in the video description.
  9. Including lyrics in the video description.
  10. Please listen to the improved version, I just moved all the backing tracks down by a semitone and redid the vocals. Percussion still needs tidying up and improving.
  11. Guitar part is missing a few embellishments still and needs to be a bit different at least at the interludes, and maybe that version throughout. It was easy to do it using a piano though. Percussion doesn't need a double beat on every repeat, and I need it to alternate between two tones like a timpani but the sound is close to what it should be. But for now I might just leave it as it is and move onto other ideas as I just need to keep on doing stuff to keep improving.
  12. Thanks, I have too many ideas crammed into my head and on notepad files and always used to give up learning music production before because I found it too hard.
  13. Yes I'm still trying to get better. I want it at this tempo though, but maybe dropping it by just 4bpm could work.
  14. Initially I made several recordings using my previous soundcard at 96 khz, but my new amp is 48khz so can't open those projects. How can I import the midi tracks from them, and is it possible to convert the audio files to 48khz?
  15. OH double clicking it worked thanks.
  16. I removed the last clip from the group already, and then tried setting it to its own group, but when I right click > view step sequencer on the seperated clip, instead it still edits one of the other clips"
  17. I managed to do that but its not letting me edit the one I want to, another random one is getting edited instead.
  18. I've tried ungrouping the clips but when I try to open the step sequencer on the one I want to edit, instead it edits another one in the middle.
  19. How can I edit one loop without changing all the others?
  20. It keeps changing back automatically.
  21. When I last checked it looked like an online only tool so I didn't.
