It's a collection of plugins that work in various hosts.  The box that appeared is just the activation manager.

You need to load something like Blackmagic Resolve (free video editor) or Adobe After Effects to use these plugins.  I'm not sure about HitFilm, I thought these were "built" into it, but I've never really bothered looking that closely.

Ignite Pro doesn't work in HitFilm Pro.  Ignite Pro is a collection of HitFilm Pro effects for use in 3rd party DAWs (VEGAS, Resolve, Media Composer, Premiere Pro CC, etc.).  HitFilm has its own native version of these plugins, so it ignores the Ignite Pro OpenFX components.

In order to access Ignite Pro, you have to use a 3rd party DAW with OpenFX support.  If you only use HitFilm Pro, there is no point installing Ignite Pro on the machine...

Thank you very much gentlemen! That explains a lot!

    Mine was good until December!

I have  successfully updated to the latest version. But when I click on Ignite Pro, it opens a box showing me the version, with options for Deactivate and View Help... It doesn't appear to open a program. Is that because it is integrate into HitFilm pro under the Effects menu? Or should it be doing something more, like opening in its own window?

None of these issues are really that big a deal, certainly not worth holding off on getting this.  UVI has always been good about updating their libraries, unlike a lot of developers.

I didn't perform the last update of World Suite from July I believe it was. I just picked up WS2. Should I bother with updating World Suite 1? Can I uninstall World Suite 1 to save on SSD space?

Found lots of interviews with lots of different people in the music industry. Singers, musicians, engineers:

To be honest, I think this is a site that would interest a lot of people. It appears to be a site under development, so go with some patience and don't loose interest too fast. The little while I looked around there I found more stuff to keep me busy for hours and hours!!

    Thanks MandolinPicker for this post.

  6. I don't remember having to do anything specific to get the pedal to work wit the A800. I thought it was just plug and play. If you have read through the manual then I'm not sure whether these will be of any help. https://static.roland.com/assets/media/pdf/A-300PRO_500PRO_800PRO_R_eng10_W.pdf

Just a list of small troubleshooting steps:

Is it plugged into the Express (p2) jack?

Is the knob on the pedal turned to zero(0)? For me, Kontakt did not detect it if it wasn't.

Is your DAW detecting a midi signal coming in when you move the pedal?

In the A800, are you in Play Mode (as opposed to Edit mode)?

In the A800, are you on CTRL Map 0?

Have you switched on the Omni setting?(p.42 of manual)

What is OMNI?If you turn OMNI on, all controllers will transmit on the current channel regardless of their assigned MIDI transmit channel. If you want the MIDI transmit channel of the controllers to also change when you switch the current channel, turn OMNI on as follows.1.Press the [ACT] button and [] button simultaneously to enter Edit mode. The display will indicate “LCD CONTRAST.”2.Turn the [VALUE] knob until “SYSTEM SETTING” appears in the display.Press the [ENTER] button.3.Turn the [VALUE] knob until “OMNI” appears in the display.Press the [ENTER] 4. The display will show the current setting. 5.Use the [VALUE] knob to select “ON” or “OFF.”6.Press the [ENTER] button. You’ll be returned to Play mode.

I'm not sure if this will help but I hope you can get it up and running. All the best!

Regarding best installation practices for Total Studio Max, should I remove all the previous versions of these programs I have (Special Edition or Custom Shop versions) AND THEN do a clean install using all the newest installers for TSM? I'm torn... the previously unactived IK plugins are now usable in my DAW, but I'm guessing the newest installers will be up to date. Another concern is if I don't remove the previous version, will the new files interfere with the old and vice versa?

In my DAW, I already have duplicates of TRacks (TRacks 5 and TRacks CS) and before I have three versions of the same thing in my menus, I'm hoping you brave folks will be able to provide some enlightening guidance. Thanks!
