  1. I had one of those way back when I used to play live. I regretted buying it very soon after. Never could dial in a good sound with it live. I ended up using it clean with a rack mount FX unit. I used a Strat back then and they don't seem to play well with those Mesa amps so maybe that was the problem.
  2. Thanks. I did have access but I must have used a password I didn't log so I'll have to contact them again. I'm keeping a written log of my passwords now. So far I'm up to 45. It's crazy.
  3. What do we do if we can't log in to the Command Center? I just tried and it recognizes my email, shows my old forum name, but won't accept my password. When I click reset password I never get a reset email. Any thoughts on the next step to take? Thanks.
  4. Yep you are right. She was a 16 year old lab that beat cancer 3 years ago and kidney failure for 2 of those 3 years. She was truly an amazing dog. They told us at MU that only about 1% of the dogs they treat go in to total remission like she did and 0% live 3 years after. They use her as an example to other people as to what can happen if you catch it early enough. My vet here locally told me he's had people ask him about her because they heard of her at MU and MU is 3.5 hours round trip from here. I'm not saying this because I'm biased but she truly was an amazing dog. The vet said it's an absolute miracle how she beat all that and lived 3 years after and she was the oldest dog in his practice. People bring their pets to MU Vet Oncology from all over the country. It was a hell of a good run she had and she's given a lot of other crazy dog people like us hope all over the country. You can't ask for anything better than that. I don't do sad old country songs anymore. I was born and raised on that stuff and I can't stand it anymore. I enjoy listening to it because those old recordings are fantastic on vinyl but it brings me down too much. I don't even play it for my own enjoyment anymore while I'm just plucking away on my acoustic on the couch. Hence the I Hear You Knocking cover and I have some other more rock oriented ones I've been tinkering with but it will be a while. I can't sit still and my mind wanders. I've lost 6 lb's in 2 days. I can't eat and I can't sit down. This is how my weight loss journey (i hate when people use that word lol) started before. When her sister Maggie died I couldn't eat for 3 weeks. I lost 50lb's and ended up in the hospital with kidney stones from being dehydrated. I never thought I could lose weight at my age so when I started dropping I joined a gym and lost the rest. I'm embarrassed to say how much but it was A LOT. I won two weight loss competitions back to back at the gym. I won $6K. All because of Maggie. Isn't that something? Thanks guys for letting me vent and helping me through this.
  5. The Aldi's story is really weird. I read one time that the one can sell cigarettes and the other can't. Don't remember which one and I don't feel like fact checking myself. But I read it somewhere. I like Aldi's although the one here is filthy. The ones up in Iowa were much nicer. Everything is much nicer up in Iowa.
  6. 5 1/2 is way too young. I'm sorry to hear that. And yepper, they are part of the family. Everything we did revolved around the dogs in one way or another. I can't get used to the silence in the house without her. It's horrible. I never noticed how loud the ***** furnace and CPU fan is on my DAW before. It's driving me insane. ๐Ÿ˜ข
  7. Thanks Bill. It's good to see you here. We've been worried about you. Hope things are going better.
  8. I just had to put my only friend and companion down about an hour ago. RIP Windy you were a good girl and daddy loved you so much. She was 16. I'm so heartbroken and lonely right now. My wife is out of town in Texas. It was sudden and I had to take Windy to the vet and do it by myself. My wife doesn't know yet because I didn't want to upset her while she's at a jobsite. The house is so quiet and empty and I can't stand the silence. My head is killing me from crying and the ringing in my ears is off the charts from my bp being elevated. I can't stand being here. Now I have to go pick up her blankets, food, water, and put all her things away. The last month has been really rough here taking care of her by myself while my wife has been gone. Thanks everyone for being here and making me laugh through all of this.
  9. That's great to hear. I wish I had a video card. I would give it a try. The reason I haven't taken the plunge is because there are entire websites dedicated to the topic of how to make them run under Win 10 and it's a nightmare and I suffered enough trying to get their garbage to run on PS3. The problems installing and running those games on current hardware and Windows is legendary as with all of Bethesda's problems. They're getting sued right now for the Fallout 4 Season Pass screw job they gave people. They clearly said the Season Pass provides ALL future DLC content for Fallout 4. So they changed the name of what they called DLC to The Creation Club and started charging people, a lot. Anyway I'm glad it just worked for you. I guess Todd Howard was right when he famously said, "It just works.". ๐Ÿ˜‚
  10. YAY! AW! ๐Ÿคช๐Ÿ˜œ
  11. The first thing that came to my mind was Tin Can Alley.
  12. R.R. and Fallout 3 don't work on Windows 10 without a 3rd party utility for R.R. and cracking Fallout 3. Fallout New Vegas will but it's difficult. Fallout 3 uses a verification method that is no longer supported. I just don't see how Steam can sell something you can't install. GOG legally disables that in Fallout 3 and provides you with the 3rd party stuff you need to run R.R. and all the other games they sell so you don't have to hack it yourself. I don't like Steam or GOG, but to me GOG is the lesser of two evils because you don't have to be online. I get having to go online to activate something but being forced to download 10's and sometimes 100's of Gig's of data is not right, IMO. I downloaded COD Warzone and it made me get the entire full game. Over 100Gb. After I did it said I could uninstall the retail version and just keep Warzone to save HDD space. Sweet. Thanks Raven.
  13. Nope. Steam did nothing to get it to run. Same with Fallout 3 and New Vegas. You basically get what you would get if you installed them from the original install discs. That's how it was the last time I looked at Steam. Maybe it's changed. GOG does include 3rd party software to make it run but even then Fallout still needs tweaking. GOG's claim to fame is they legitimately sell you versions of games that you do not have to be online to use. It's why I never used Steam in the first place. If you don't have a really good internet connection you're screwed. Only in the last couple months have I gotten high speed (cough cough) internet. The fastest I ever had up until a couple months ago was 3Mb/1.5Mb and I was paying the same for it as my current 30Mb/20Mb which is $130 monthly or $100 per month if I pay a year in advance. Plus I have to supply the router. I just saw a TV ad this morning. $49.99 a month for a Gb fiber connection, if you are in or near the city. If you want to live out in the country now it's going to cost you. It's how they are backdooring that proposition to force people in to city's.
  14. I uninstalled FF when I saw their official statement about people needing to be more than "de-platformed" and calling for more censorship if they don't agree with their (Mozilla's) beliefs. I can't link you to verification due to T.O.S. here, but it's out there if anyone chooses to search for it. So I de-platformed them from my devices. If you choose to use and it works good for you (you as in whoever is reading this) then I'm happy for, more power to you. See the difference in mindsets there.
  15. He's following this thread so it's hard to say what his motivation is for posting. He's either upset and venting and looking for help in a roundabout way or just trying to upset people. I try to take the "you catch more flies with honey than vinegar" approach. If the fly doesn't come then I don't give them the vinegar either and just move along.
  16. Really? Zip ties to hold the horns on? I'm sorry, I just can't take that man seriously.
  17. FWIW I ran a Presonus Firewire Mobile for many years and only stopped using it a couple weeks ago. I've been using a Vantec UGT-FW210 card this whole time and have had no problems that I can recall. It's still available new. If you click the link read the FAQ at the bottom and it will tell you how to install Firewire drivers on Win 8 and 10. It's powered by a connector directly from the power supply which I think helps.
  18. Oh! I thought he was talking 3rd person again. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ
  19. I view them as twin brothers. One Good, one Evil. Everything runs better through Brave on my system. Especially streaming services like YouTube and Twitch. I've only been using Brave a few days now and here's what it's done so far so I'm happy . . . 99% of that is just from Twitch and I don't watch it that much. I can watch a stream for just 20 minutes or so and watch the adblock counter just keep ticking away. Hundreds a night. I really love some of the live music acts and there is one game streamer I really like too. She messes with some of the guys she randomly gets teamed up with in COD and scolds them for swearing and talking dirty. It's more entertaining to watch her for that then the actual game. Good clean fun which is a rarity these days.
  20. If you take a tone generator and find the frequency and play it in just the ear you hear the Tinnitus in you can actually help it and in some cases make it go away completely. I've done this and it has helped. Another thing that happens to me is I'll go deaf in one ear and suddenly hear a really loud ringing. My hearing immediately starts to fade back in while the ringing fades out and it feels like someone is pressing in my middle ear. According to my ENT Dr. they don't know why it happens but it is actually very common. It scares me because I worry one day it will happen and my hearing won't fade back in. It's happened a few times but when I went to bed and got up the next morning everything was back to normal. And it's a very uncomfortable feeling on top of the deafness and ringing. Loud sounds don't trigger it, it can happen any time. It's weird and scary.
  21. Did she ever get back to you on this? ๐Ÿคจ
  22. The vast majority of crashes and instability problems I had went away when I read this advice elsewhere years ago and started following it. The first thing I do now is pick a motherboard then go to the manufacturer's website and do a search for supported ram and cpu's. I always go with non-overclockable set speed RAM and prefer Kingston.
  23. Doesn't do squat for me either. ๐Ÿ˜
