I guess this falls under the heading, "Be careful what you wish for, you might get it.".

I would go to a doctor asap for that one. I wouldn't try all the Harry Potter sounding stuff until I talked to, uh, they.
One thing that helps me a lot is walking barefoot in the grass. Best when it's wet in the morning or at night. I read a bunch of stuff one time about it grounding your body to the earth and your energy and all that blah blah blah, but in reality I think what happens is you simply sink in to the earth a little and your feet are fully supported at all points and the moisture naturally cools your body, reduces inflammation, and all that.
It helps my feet, knees, legs, back, cures ED, makes it bigger, etc. etc..
It sounds awful Bit. Please see a doctor as soon as you can. Could be a clot, poor circulation, something serious. But you ain't stoopid. You know that.

I'm fine with waiting, I opted for the cheap shipping, but don't tease me.
Even their fast shipping you pay extra for sucks. I've driven around town many times looking for the fedex truck. I used to make them go through their truck to find parts I had shipped for morning delivery that I needed for down machines ... at 2pm in the frikkin afternoon. I hate being forced to use FedEx. I'd rather use DHL and they are terrible too.

How would Sweetwater having a West Coast distribution center fix lazy and incompetent FedEx drivers?
Guitar Center had a distribution center in Kansas Cty when I lived near there. They screwed up a shipment of a new amp twice so I called the store and asked if I could pick it up at the distribution center and they said sure no problem. I called the distribution center and the guy on the phone got cocky with me and asked why I wanted the amp so bad. I replied, you know what, I really don't want it that bad. Hung up, called the store, canceled the order. I havent bought a single thing from G.C. since and never will.
Funny story about FedEx. I thought of this thread right away when I saw what I saw.
I was at Dunkin Donuts the other morning and the FedEx driver was there getting a coffee. She had spandex pants on and they were ripped, bad, right up the back, no undies on ... I wanted to say something but I didn't want to get slapped or accused of being a perv so I just let it go. I get home 30 minutes later and low and behold, there comes the FedEx truck behind me making a delivery to one of the neighbors. I had a female friend go over and tell her. She came back and said the driver knew and she wasn't worried about it.

Does that new 10 year long exit tax they are passing in to law apply to visitors too?

Should you happen to be wealthy enough for these, it's VERY important to follow directions or you might unrecord something! 😜
I happened to get a set of those very expensive cables for Christmas one year way back in the late 80s early 90s iirc? I still have them. I think they were something like $45 for a single 3ft cable? I remember the little arrow stickers. They are long gone now so I guess I'm screwed. 😁
I had a high end Sony head and high end Sony cassette deck. They were too good. The hiss from the tape deck just sitting idle was unbelievable. Same woth the cd player. Hooked up my $1.99 radio shack cables and it went away.
I spent a fortune on those cables when I was a kid. The thing I remember about them most was they were so tight I broke a couple RCA Jack's getting them on and off. I remember the place I bought it all from charging me $75 for a "high end" optical cable for the CD player. Still have it too, and about 30 free ones that came with various things as the optical connection became more widely used. 🙄

Recording live drums is not nearly as difficult and mysterious as it is made out to be.
Well thank God we got that cleared up before he went out and got 30 rolls of green tape. Whew!

I read that the green painters tape sounds better. Might want to retape everything and see. Make some 384/64 samples and do some A/B comparisons? Maybe some null tests perhaps?

There's a lot of great artists out there today like her but they don't make it to the radio, except places like NPR. NPR in Kansas City played a lot of music by artists like her. I don't think all NPR's are the same though. You have to search ind. artists on your own. YouTube, Twitch, places like that.

Want proof "they're listening"?
I got a call from my Sweetwater rep tonight asking me how everything was and he just wanted to touch base.
1st time in over 2 years.
Just an FYI, they told me they make 3 attempts to deliver when a signature is required. After the third failed attempt they leave a note and a number for you to call to arrange for you to go pick it up. They stop trying after the 3rd time.

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of requiring a signature?
Yes.
It's available for situations like this. They drop it off and take a picture of where they put it. If it's at the wrong house then it's no different than any other wrong delivery.
I despise FedEx. They have screwed me so many times at work and at home. In multiple states. NJ, PA, IA, MO. They are cheaper than UPS, or used to be, that's why people use them. But they really truly suck.

I'm in a rush so I didn't read all the replies. Apologies if this was already mentioned.
Get the FedEx app. You can go in and digitally sign for your package so they deliver it without you having to be there when a signature is required.
I don't stress anymore when a seller says "signature required". It works. I've done it multiple times after my guitar fiasco with Sweetwater. I didn't know about it before I watched new guitar being driven away out of my driveway 3 ***ing times! 🤬🤬🤬🤬😡😡😡😡😡

Does Starbucks offer you a shot of Atrazine in that vegan iced latte'?

I was quite find of my old TI 99 computer. I remember programming animated sequences line by line in machine language. I didn't have the BASIC expansion cartridge. They call those complicated animatuons animated GIFs now I think.

Creative phase manipulation?
There is a plug in Ozone 9 Advanced that allows you to adjust the level of some instruments on a mixed down track. I used it quite a bit on my last project on old 4 track tape tranfers. I rike it a rot.

You could join in the over abundance of threads in the Deals section to express your feelings.
I avoid that forum these days. No dough ray me and I have to avoid the temptation. 😁
I just hope they don't lump it all together and make some convoluted mess of never ending monthly fees.

Just got an email saying iZotope is now Native Inatruments.

And how many devices are 2.0 capable?
Isn't that basically what VST3 is?
I haven't read anything about this in a while, but if IIRC the "advanced" capabilities of VST3 are very similar to what Midi 2.0 is capable of. Maybe we'll see the features of VST3 being used more often now.
I could be totally wrong ...

This may be in Craig's posted links. I haven't had a chance to look yet.
I've suffered from 3 distinct tones in both ears for most of my life. Caused by ear infections since I was born. I have messed up ears.
One thing that helped me was using a tone generator in my DAW and finding the frequency of the tones I hear. Then raise the volume till it was equal or slightly louder than the tinnitus tone. I actually cured one of the tones and lessened the others.
The other thing that helped significantly was a supplement that Craig had mentioned one time called NAD+.
It significantly reduced the ringing although it never claimed to be able to do that. It's expensive and I had to stop it and eventually the ringing came back to where it was.
Other than that, at this point it seems there's nothing that can be done. I have read that there is some research with gene therapy that has been successful. I think relief and maybe even a cure isn't all that many years away.
I sometimes sleep with a desktop white noise generator going nights to mask it. It's maddening laying in the dark with it all quiet in the room and all you can focus on are the tones in your head. It also has ocean sounds with seaguls and crickets. You can get them cheap on Amazon.

In the U.S. there are actually dB level ordinaces. You can get a knock on the door from the police, and a ticket if a neighbor complains and you don't comply with police request to turn it down, but what's happening in the U.K. is over the top.
In NJ it's 65 dB from 7am to 10pm and 50db 10pm to 7am. I would guess it varies state to state.
