  1. Dear Cakewalk Support Team,

I am a music producer and have been using your software for many years. I am writing to request that you consider adding more surround speaker layout options in Cakewalk.

As you may know, Dolby Atmos allows for a more immersive audio experience by using object-based audio technology to create sound that moves around the listener in three-dimensional space. Now there is a plug-in called "dolby atmos composer" by Fiedler that allows almost all DAWs to support Dolby Atmos production, but does not include Cakewalk.

Because Cakewalk surround bus  is limited to 9 channels speaker configuration. With the growing popularity of Dolby Atmos, it would be great to have 12+channels  surround speaker layout options available in Cakewalk, such as 7.1.4 or 9.1.6.  or custom.

This would enable music producers like myself to take full advantage of the immersive audio capabilities of Dolby Atmos and create music that truly surrounds and immerses the listener in the sound.

I believe that adding these additional speaker layout options would be a valuable addition to Cakewalk and would attract even more users to your software.

Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to your response.

    Cheers~

Hi @btbrock we added the ability to click to change the position during playback since that is the most intuitive and fast gesture to quickly change playback position rather than requiring the user to click on the timeline. Most other programs also do this.

May I ask why deselecting during playback is more important than this in your workflow?
Also you can deselect using the select NONE command or any keybinding for it.  Currently you can press CTRL Shift A to deselect or press the numpad 5 key (with num lock off) to deselect all.

There is no preference for this behavior...

Im sorry, I don't think so.   I think that is the most stupid move in this update. I can't  use my mouse to make a position to ZOOM in/out and edit my clips while playback.

that  slow me down 50% in workflow at least.

**Update: I found the hotfix ,  that is so great ! THX!
