Decided that waiting 13 years made no sense because will probably wait another 20 years. They were just updated for M1 support so figured was time. Thanks for starting thread Larry.
I'll likely pick it up as well, but will checkout the trial first.

Ya. People like Flume use it. You’ll find recent videos on YouTube showcasing its uniqueness even 13 years later. Even on BF is still $99 haha.
Here is a Flume post from a month ago…
Yup, saw that one. Perhaps, another way to look at its price is, it's a great synth that's always on sale. 😬👍

I’ve been looking out for this one for a long time. People say it’s hard UI to get used to but once you do it’s very unique. But has been $99 for past six years. Never seems to go on sale.
Yeah, I noticed that. It's really old too, maybe 13 years 😲

First time I've heard of this one. Intriguing 🤔

There is a special discount at www.adamszabo.com. Use the code JUL2022 on checkout until the 31st of July to get 20% off of any product!
I can finally cross Viper and JP6K off my list!

well I downloaded the trial - have to say I wasn't terribly impressed - it might have ben the material I was using it on, but I felt I got better results with what I already have - such as Boz Provocative and Sonnox Oxford Voxdoubler - perhaps because I know how to use these🤪
anyone else trial this??
Nigel
I bought it. I think it's more geared toward over-the-top sound-design use. Sounded very nice on accapella vocals mixed very subtly.

Still this.
I was told they will not charge me until this is resolved.Thomann charged me already, but then, perhaps this was before the problem was truly realized. I got an email from Toontracks this morning promoting various bundles, so maybe Thomann just jumped the gun and need to sort out SKUs or something.

Thanks for the update. Is that from Thomann?
Yup. Thomann.

Just a heads up. Hopefully, it actually is just a temporary technical glitch 🙏🏻
QuoteDear customer,
Thank you for purchasing Toontrack EZbass Midi Edition. Unfortunately, we are not yet able to send you all the required information. We are truly sorry about this.
Reason: a technical fault occured while we were requesting the license from your manufacturer, Toontrack.
We have not cancelled your order; rather, we are doing our best to resolve the problem as speedily as possible. Thank you for understanding that we can only do so in our own and the manufacturer's business hours.

Boy, that seems like a great deal.

And it’s goooooooood
Yup. Pretty unique. I was expecting RX to have something similar but didn’t see anything.

I found myself needing this today (May 25, 2022) and was bummed that the JRR Shop sale was over. HOWEVER, it's still $139 on the Zynaptiq site https://www.zynaptiq.com/unchirp/ No idea when it ends.
-
Installed the trial. I suspect that you could get similar results with reverb, doublers, etc, but my god this sounds good on vocals. Heavy CPU useage tho.

$77 at Thomann, $99 (50% off) elsewhere (e.g. PB).
Not a bad rompler. I was interested at $99, but had no willpower left at $77. It's a big 14GB download and their servers are slooooooow.

I just messed around with the demo and compared it to the Arturia Mini V3, and will easily pass on this. Note that I'm no master of the Mini Moog parameters and pretty much just compared the sounds of the presets.
-
Wonder how this compares to Arturia Mini V. That said, I can barely order lunch for two at McDonalds for the same price. 😬

This is SO me! Haha...
I'm thinking I've got all I really need, but even now I've got a bit a of a mental note of things I could get swayed by if on a good enough sale.. some others that pop up on here I even go as far as adding them to the cart 🤣
But there's worse things to spend money on, so it could be worse 🙂
At least they don't take up physical space. 😁👍

Oh that can definitely happen! 🤣
I use a spreadsheet and every time I get a plugin, I add it to that. It includes the developer, type of plugin (i.e. compressor, EQ, Synth, etc), the date of purchase, the store I bought it from, if it includes VST3 and the price (or free). Along with a few others.
Very easy to then filter and know exactly what I have from each company and sometimes scarily.. how much I've spent with each company.. and even more scarily how much I've spent overall!
Just looking at the total before buying something else has saved me quite a few new purchases 🤣
Funny, I do the exact same thing. I was hoping it would encourage me to use more of my plugins, but sadly, I usually reach for the same ones.
I've dramatically slowed my plug-in purchases lately and feel like I have everything I need. However, it doesn't take much for me to be enchanted by a new shiny toy.

I was looking at that one and I can imagine that being quite useful.
I already have Soundtoys PanMan and Cableguys Pancake 2 and now the new Cubase FX Modulator but they do seem to allow you to get some different sound/modulation between them, so it doesn't hurt to have a few 🙂
Since the panning is based on the incoming signal, it's not as robotic as your standard auto-panner.

Sound Particles' Brightness Panner is also good. I like to use them on hi-hat loops.

Played with the trial for a bit this morning and concluded that it sounds weird. I appreciate the tech behind it, but in the end, you have to like the sound. Here's a link to the only non-PA review so far by Nate aka Protoculture. It gave me a much better understanding of what the thing does.

Upgrade to SubLab XL $20 if you bought Sublab from FAW

I suppose for $20, there's not much risk; however, lately I've been liking Serum or Sylenth1 for basses over Sublab.
