Yes I thought of doing that. So many takes on my vocal track, as each time I listen I go "yeuch, do it again Rich" Do you mean highlight everything in the track, all the different bits and then bounce to one clip?
I'll have to change my answer a bit. With further examination of the screencapture it gives that this is only a tiny section of the track. At first glance i believed it was the only audioclip in the track.
I would NOT bounce several individual clips at once. I only bounce the clip that i've been working on.
-
In your first post i would have selected track one and rightclick on the selected clip to use "bounce to clip".
I use "bounce" as a means to finalize any edits i make.

I have some problem with the connection between a bit of the sample and the assigned midinote.
1. Which note connects to which samplebit?
2. What range in the prv is active for the samples?
I think this could be made much easier for people.
It would be nice if a sampler had something like a textfile associated with the sample that held advanced info for the daw. Like colormark the range in prv that is active for the sample and name the bits in the sampler which name then appears instead of the notenames. There would need to be a daw function that recognize the advanced info and give a menuoption for the audiotrack to open the prv with theese extras.
Is there already a plugin that meets this criteria?
That don't involve a whole new host echosystem.
That don't cost more than 80 euro.

You have places like this where you can download midisongs for free.

This is a bit off topic. It's a response to Band in a box.
There's this JJazzLab, a free backing track application.
It needs three files installed: JJazzLab itself, VirtualMIDIsynth and JJazzLab soundfonts.
I loaded a blues swing sng-file and changed the style, by rightclick menu in the style, to a bluegrass style at 142 bpm. It was f-ing awesome. Blues chord progression fits perfectly with the bluegrass instrumentation. And at that speed it was a groovy swing.
As usual you can mute individual instruments.

Band in a box is nice.
You mentioned that you have chords. If it's midi then in the piano roll view, delete all notes in the chord except the lowest one. You should end up with a series of notes as many bars as there where chords. Select all those notes and move them down to where it sounds bassy.
I think that could work. I saw something like that in a video but can't remember which one.

I thought there had been new advances from Monkey's Audio.

Kurre, buried in the utility menus, there were toggles that needed switching to USB. Both devices now work by USB, which opens up many more options. Thank you!
You're welcome.
Could i ask if you would vote my answer up. It's to the left with arrows over/under a zero.
I've never had a green best answer before.
Also would be a good idea to add (solved) to this topic title.

If you can see the usb-midi in Cakewalk it have to mean that there's no midi sent to Cakewalk.
First check manual if there are settings for usb-midi in the Yamaha hardware.
Second is using a midi-monitor to check the midiflow.

Klevgrands >Skaka< vst has some of them.

I don't remember if this has been shown here. It's a good compilation.
My favorite one is the first song. Aerosmiths - Dream on.
-
Zplane have a plugin named deCoda.
You can use that together with a song you like.
deCoda isolates the part of the song you like. Pick a drum part to listen and compare.

So...where's the coupon code?

That is some great detective work. How did you find out about the trigger words and who wrote up the trigger word list?
Thanks. One of the topics here on the forum mentioned a YT video. I checked it out and that guy had come quite a bit in solving it. His name is mentioned in the pdf. It is Daniel Carl Heister.
The video:
For some reason he is doing the right thing with renaming the template but do not point out that the filetype need to be untouched.
My guess is that it is his usual way to rename files when saving and thus perfectly normal behaviour.
When i rename files in "save" windows i usually delete everything on the name line, write the new name and let the filetype be addended automatically. That did not work in this case.
Why? I haven't the faintest idea. ?

The start screen icons, especially the factory ones for templates, and descriptions on how to add images seemed very vague to me.
But the others can take care of it.

You could, if you don't already have, activate "Suspend Audio Engine when Cakewalk is not in focus".
Have you tried to only have Cakewalk open without any other software running. At least you could get a hint if Cakewalk behaves nice under that condition.

I just tried today and no such luck.
The Enhanced Tracking Protection in Firefox sometimes block logging in to places. Maybe Waves put some tracking script at the login and thus set of that automatic protection.

Are you aware that the mixer should be plugged into line level inputs and not into pre amps? It is not a good idea to double up on mike pre amps. It's not needed and can raise the noise floor.
A mixer is a great idea for front end and can handle just about any input and boost it to line level. Once again.. basic audio engineering 101.
So if your audio interface has a line level inputs, usually on the back as 3/4, use that and not the front panel inputs. Unless those can by pass the pre amps which some do with switches.
Yes, i'm aware.
It would be nice to avoid an extra box but i have very old mics and i don't throw away stuff and buy new ones unless its dead and not working at all. The quality is good enough (for home recording) even with an old mic when you get the input levels up. ?

Thanks. Sorry about that. I read your first post. But i read all posts first and then follow links.
As i don't know much about drum maps i didn't know the difference between master.ins and alternate notes name i thought it was waste of time to follow that link if they wasn't persistent.

Don't need to use the Drum Map Manager to create simple Drum Maps. Any tool capable of writing a text file may be used along with a freely available ins-to-drum map program.
I tried to google that. Three first pages gave nothing.

I now use a small hardware mixer as gain for low output mics. It gives you double amplification of the signal by setting the input sensitivity and then raising the output signal.

I'm sorry that i can't help with exactly what's wrong. But maybe knowing that my latest Firefox browser don't have a problem loading the images in those parts i visited, Cakewalk/x and Sonar/x in english, can help in troubleshooting.
To not get a reaction from someone else after 22 hours point to a personal problem with your browser. Check all those security filters settings. Maybe popup block?
Firefox have an improved tracking protection that sometimes block images and notifications which i need to see. I always start with setting that to off in my troubleshoots.
