  1. Did someone say "Wurli"? I'm here. The demos sound very nice. https://www.steinberg.net/vst-instruments/taped-vibes/
  2. Same for Spitfire. Hopefully, it's just related to the holiday schedule and they'll be back next year. The good news is that around the third week of December, Orchestra Tools typically sends their customers a $25 USD or so certificate to use towards any of their libraries -- with no minimum spend. You can find individual libraries within their larger bundles that you can pick up for that price or less. I assume that if they send it, it will go out to people who've never purchased from them before who've only downloaded their freebies as well as past customers.
  3. Satya eagerly awaits the future transfer of your Softube account.
  4. The freebies from this developer are excellent. I'm sure this is no exception. Although I'm already well covered in this area, why not?
  5. Soundtoys FilterFreak $39 USD (reg $149) "Save 75% on FilterFreak and get fat analog sweeps, pounding filter rhythms, and big hardware sound." https://www.soundtoys.com/product/filterfreak/
  6. I don't have use for their phrase libraries and find them very unintuitive. I'm just hoping their Celesta library goes on sale. It's a perfect Christmas library (i.e., The Nutcracker Suite).
  7. That was very generous of you, jngnz, and I agree, that satya is very deserving for all he does to make this forum worthwhile. It was nice to see this. Kudos to you, jngnz and I hope satya enjoys his new plugins.
  8. I'm guessing this will be included in the next version (s) of KOMPLETE (Standard and up). While these may not be detailed / deep sampled libraries. I'm sure that they are good quality, like the other Spotlight Collection titles. I'd be happy to get this as part of the next KOMPLETE. I love Irish music and instruments.
  9. I'm a longtime Rhythmic Robot customer and can recommend them. I love their cool and quirky collections of vintage gear. The libraries are not deep sampled, but the developer makes good quality libraries that are often a bargain, especially when they're on sale. I've been a customer for two decades and always found them to be very friendly and nice to deal with.
  10. When they first promoted the 12 Days, it stated that there would be a €12 coupon. I don't see that in email or in my account when I log in. If anyone has used theirs or can see how it works, I'd be grateful. Thanks.
  11. I was hoping you'd weigh in on this one (as a Brazilian musician). Excellent point. The instrument of theirs I'd most be interested in picking up is Soniokinetic's Celesta. I already have a few nice celestes (Sound Dust has a couple of nice ones), but it's one of those instruments I'm in love with and even though I haven't used them in many productions, I love to play them.
  12. Joy = the ultimate return on investment.
  13. In all seriousness, Rain Piano is very good. I've had it since the original version, which goes back more than a decade. It's an upright piano with a lot of character/charm. For under $8 USD, I would consider it a no-brainer for anyone who owns the full version of KONTAKT.
  14. Welcome back, Larry! I just checked out the pictures and it looks beautiful.
  15. Wait, I have a pretty nasty case of COVID and a bit of a fever, so this may just be some kind of COVID-related delusion, but it seems like I've just witnessed two very positive reviews from you today. Or was it all a fever induced dream?
  16. "I'm really happy that InMusic has bought..." Only an influencer can say that line with a straight face. Note that he does a little dance around the presets being disappointing (he gives viewers a heads up that the presets aren't very good). InMusic has yet to significantly improve any software it has purchased and it has had a lot of time with AIR and BFD and it doesn't appear to have made any of them much better after purchasing them. I wouldn't be as blunt if this were a small player, but this is one of the largest players in the industry.
  17. @Kreveta Puket maybe you can update this thread to let us know how you are doing and to receive encouragement from the group. As you can see, we care about you and are cheering for you to get better.
  18. You should share your tracks in the song section. I know when you once did share a song, I really enjoyed it.
  19. UJAM is aimed at very different users than Orange Tree Samples. UJAM targets hobbyists -- a younger demographic-- who are looking for instant gratification and are not as concerned with creating their own custom parts. In short, you can fairly say that UJAM targets hobbyist users satisfied to use loops and Orange Tree Samples targets advanced amateurs and pros who prefer to play and create their own unique progressions, strumming patterns, licks, riffs, etc. OTS has a far higher bar for sample instrument realism than UJAM. UJAM Virtual Guitarist line uses loops of strums, so there's no way for a user to make custom or customized patterns. Personally, for the loop-based approach, I think Native Instruments Session Guitarist line is the best option of the two (UJAM vs SG). But this deal is 10 bucks, so it feels like an unfair comparison at that price point (while it's not at its regular price). DISCLOSURE: I have consulted to OTS, Pettinhouse, SonicCouture, 8Dio, Kirk Hunter Studios and many other sample and plugin developers in past years on branding, product development and marketing strategy. I haven't done paid consulting to OTS in more than a decade, so this disclosure is probably unnecessary, but I want to be as transparent as possible.
  20. I'd opt for a drive version if it were available too. However, I can't imagine that NI is going to bring back drives for KOMPLETE. It costs them far too much to have their software and sample libraries on a drive compared to the cost of data transfer. I believe NI did an announcement about no longer packaging KOMPLETE on drives. This isn't the most polished version of NI's policy, but it is to the point: "Physical hard drives of Komplete bundles are no longer sold." https://community.native-instruments.com/discussion/18801/option-to-have-hdd-or-ssd-included-with-purchase-of-komplete-14
  21. Yeah, I do wish file sizes were more reasonable with detailed, multiple mic libraries. I get that pros care about all the different mics, but I'd prefer if every one of the huge libraries due to multiple mics had a one mic download version option too. I recently bought Spitfire Originals Firewood Piano. It only has three velocity layers but a bunch of mic options. I'd rather have better dynamics than mic options.
  22. For me, small devs doing propitary players, it's another plugin to install, learn and maintain. I have a fair degree of confidence that NI will maintain KONTAKT 5 years from now, I don't have that confidence for a small dev, and I've told that to bunch of KONTAKT devs that have transitioned to making their own players. The other way I look at libraries, especially piano libraries, because I have a lot of them, is, does this really bring something to the table I don't already have? I'm not sure that these libraries do and the miniscule Lite version wouldn't seem to give me a realistic idea of the full library. The price is super appealing. The crackling isn't. How do you think this would fit in singer/ songwriter and folk rock productions? BTW, I only have Embertone Walker D Lite, but I love it (I like it so much I never felt the need to buy the full version). I have all of the XLN pianos and electric pianos, but to be completely candid, I find them significantly inferior to my favorite KONTAKT libraries and rarely use them.
  23. The dev has a bit of a QC problem. Is it 150MB of disk space or 50MB (note the discrepancy between the system requirements and the Full vs Lite comparison chart)? I just can't see anyway to a decent, dynamic piano that's 150MB, and especially not one that's 50MB. The dev could have made his 4GB library smaller (while it states 8GB for the full versionin the chart below, that is the file size for both pianos; again the lack of QC on this is concerning), but there's no way to keep it high quality and dynamic and still get to that small of a file size when you're only using sampling and not modeling. I think he should have done what SonicCouture did and took away some details, but still kept it great quality. I'm not even going to bother downloading it when it's been reduced by that much. Beyond the tone of non. stretched samples it seems a waste of time. I also can't imagine someone even paying $19 for a 50MB piano library in 2023. Nope. Head over to SonicCouture or SoundPaint and get a detailed free piano for free.
  24. In case anyone picks up that my posts are devoid of humor and have even more typos lately,I came down with a nasty case of COVID and have a fever, burning, headache, aches... usually when I get sick my sense of humor remains. Hopefully, it will return after my headache goes away. I swear, it's usually a key part of my personality.
  25. It seems to use the NI Session Guitarist approach of loops for strums and single note mutisamples. Sounds cool. I'm a huge fan of the sounds from that era of R&B.
