I reinstalled Spectalayers Pro 5 without issue, and it works fine visually side by side with v6, free standing. They just dont like using the same ASIO driver with my AI. Not that I would really use them side by side, yet.

Is it correct to assume that I need only download the SampleTank4.0.5.zip, Cuban Trumpet sound content.zip, and the ST4Max Sound Library Update1.4.zip?

and now my SpectraLayers Pro 5 wont open up. I get a little flash screen, then it closes. Worked fine before I installed SLPro6. Any ideas?

Not sure if you have WINDOWS, but if you do, you can open sound settings. One way to do that is go to the little speaker icon in the lower right bar. Right click on that and you will see "open sound settings.' When that opens look for input device. If the laptop recognizes your mic, it should be listed there. Choose it. You don't say what you are trying to record into, so then there may be some settings in CbB in the audio in settings preferences if this is what you are doing. And yes, to get any kind of quality, you need a regular Audio interface. Many nice USB models with 2 in and 2 out, for relatively low cost. Helpful for others would be to list your type of laptop, processor and operating system. If you are on MAC, then these instructions probably dont apply.

Thanks for finding this out, Matt. Yes, I too would have expected that if you manipulated new layers in SpLayers6, you could have the option to send each to a new layer/track in Cubase. Cubase 10 has also implemented in ARA2 a 32bit floating point restriction for SL6 and Melodyne.

Wow, abacab, you read my mind with this question! I was going to inquire about this very subject. I think my folder had over 2 gigs of data. So far, no issues with deleting all that never to be used stuff.

Every time I received the SampX4 suite email with SF 11, I just looked cross eyed, sighed, and scratched some body part. Sometimes even my head.

Price will need to come down a bit for my interest. Now if they threw this in with SampX4 for the $169 suite ( which now contains SF 11), that might be interesting.

OOPS!!! Seems that with Melodyne activated on a part, and you are in 64 bit precision mode, there is NO sound! Many have been reporting this. Only option right now is to switch to 32 bit precision. if 64 bit precision is absolute, right now it isn't working with Melodyne. Appears to be a Cubase 10.0.30 update issue, as in other daw's Melodyne is still working with 64 bit. Of course, that isn't always the case. Stayed tuned for further updates on the update at 11:00!!!!

Not that I have extensively tried out the new Cubase 10.0.30, but my initial trial with Melodyne ara2 integration worked well. Very limited trial though! Definitely keep those older installers around!

Metric Halo support says that JRRshop is sending out redemption codes that have already been used. And very quickly JRRShop sent an email with a new redemption code. I have been redeemed! At least as far as Metric Halo goes!

I used the code above along with no payment info required. Everything went through. Received an email from JRRShop soon afterward with a redemption code and site for the redemption. Put in the code. I get a message that the code has already been used and cannot be used again. Hmm... I did send a ticket request to Metric Halo support. Sometimes you just dont get what you just dont pay for!!

I did get this with the discount. Downloaded without issue. He is explaining Halion6 step by step with all its nuisances in naming, and setup. A big nugget is the default setup reset button! So I am enjoying it, and I am having fun in seeing how amazing, deep and flexible Halion6 is. This will definitely keep my interest throughout the series!

I agree about the GUI. Took me awhile to look beyond it. I can’t wait til all GUI’s are in 3D virtual reality! Then we can really talk about current GUI’s as being old-school relics that the monks in the Middle Ages used.

Are these courses through this vendor all streaming, or can you download for future ( or perhaps past) viewing? i have always wanted to dive a bit deeper into Halion, but some of the YouTube videos on this seemed to be missing a lot of steps!!
