I first was kind of hoping that AI is coming to help us with the most tedious tasks while producing or composing, things like select every note that falls into certain condition and change to something I want (something like interpolate but more advanced - we're still missing some bit more than basic functions in most DAWs today). Then AI came and started with doing music instead of us, musicians. Soon we'll be sitting on the couch unconsciously listening to some AI music while thinking what the heck happened to the music industry. That's how I see it.

Yup, the push on updating everything everytime is tense. Nowadays instead of doing some music I turn on my PC, wait to see if there are new updates, update everything then turn off. I even stopped checking every time if new updates broke something. To be uptodated or not.

Yup, that was the primary reason for creators of hammond organ and leslie, to make a church organ compact so that it can be brought into private homes for practicing classical music. They would have never thought it could become such a milestone in future genres that were not present yet. I'm too classicaly trained, finished state school of music on pipe organ! 🤣 so yeah, Bach is in my blood (Chopin in heart). But contemporary music was meant for me since beginning, though I'm self-thought for that. And hammond organ is my passion. For this second shootout I pulled out more precise headphones (and I'm in the middle of home moving... again!) and now you tell us that!

Right, so before Korg Legacy Collection there were these, even more legacy, Korg Digital, Korg Analog, etc. I doubt there is upgrade path from these. Your best option would be upgrading to Korg Collection (current) from M1 LE assuming you can still buy one on kvr or get it with hardware. FWIW you can always drop them a question if you have all synths bought separately, would they give you an option to upgrade to 'collection'. They always respond. After I upgraded from M1 LE, I asked for extra 'legacy' licenses for my 32-bit system because I didn't have yet 64-bit PC at the time, and they've issued it without problem. Sorry for late reply. Also got an email with upgrade pricing for previous collections to v4: $99 from v3, $149 from v2, $199 from v1 and $199 from legacy collection. Pricey 😨

First time I hear about this brand. Did it sound anything hammond-like or was it something completely different? I read they have been producing Leslies, wow! We thought about making a video for whatever purpose should it be, it's just pub gigs mostly FWIW. The problem is, I can wipe socks off peoples feet with my Hammie on our gigs unless I see a cam in front on us then I instantly become paralyzed 🤣 so it can take time. I'll try remember to post or PM.

Got it. Looks like you're not on any collection at all, having just all the singles (edit-or the legacy collection). I remember a thread on kvr where people were disappointed with korg not honoring that. I had M1 LE so I took advantage when they were giving that cheap upgrade path first to the Legacy Collection and then to the new Korg Collection right afterwards, having to jump through their convoluted codes and web accounts. I think I paid $99 altogether but it was worth it!

If by saying "legacy" you mean the old Korg Legacy Collection then yes, the price is steep as there was a big upgrade step from Legacy to the, on that time, new Korg Collection (now version 1) with 64bit and Odyssey and it was similarly high priced. However if by legacy you mean Korg Collection 2 or 1 then indeed sucks, cause I'm currently on 1 and was wondering what would be my upgrade price to 3.

You've just hit perfectly what I'm currently playing on our blues/soul gigs with a hammond trio A lady singer who plays bass guit/upright, a drummer and me. A few weeks ago I bought the little baby leslie 2101 to complete my XK3 setup and just had my first gig done on it! No need to tell how jawdropping difference it made to the internal leslie simulation, not exactly same as the vintage 122 but close enough to put a smile on our faces. We share passion to same music styles indeed. I just wish I had experience based on close contacts with such awesome bands and musicians like you had, man that's ridiculous! 🤩

I'm more into this weirdy lovely type of stuff, so more of a rhodesie and hammondie thing though wurlie could fit easily too... trying to crack in to their heads (or is it hearts more precisely) to see what's there should I need a little bit of the same in mine before making any proper chop on my own
