  1. In addition to the above I have tried opening it with a project but the same happens.
  2. Hi - I had to send my PC back to Dell as it had a problem. To fix it they had to reinstall Windows 10. However I then had to reinstall all my previous apps. I installed CbB in the same way as before without a problem. When I open it (I haven't loaded all my files from my backup yet) and i choose one of the templates (4 track, or 16 track) it loads the interface and then the mouse indicator becomes a blue circle that just continues spinning without any effect. I have only installed the one app so far so not sure what could be the cause of this. Any ideas? Many thanks in advance.
  3. Sounds good Noel. Is that something that could possibly happen in a future update.
  4. Hi thanks. I hope the attached image helps.
  5. Hi - and yes am using ASIO mode. And ther eare no auto punch points set. When I say 1st Output I am sorry i should elaborate. I recorded the 1st audio track using 'Left Focusrite USB ASIO Input 1'. This recorded fine. I then went to record a 2nd audio track using the same input as above. There was no recording just silence. In th epast on previous versions of CW I have used the same input to record all my audio tracks. It therefore seems a little odd. So any possible explanation would be appreciated. Thanks
  6. I have alternated between using a Focusrite Scarlett audio interface and the onboard Realtek soundcard of my PC. i.e. when am not using CBB I unhook the AI and the PC defaults to the Realtek for playback of 'ordinary' sounds . I can also listen to CBB projects via Realtek. Having not used CBB for a week or two I opened it up tonight (without the AI plugged in) and before the application opened I was advised that there wee no audio devices detected on my PC. So when it opened I went to Edit>preferences> playback and recording and it did not find any audio devices. I am not sure whether or not this occurred before I was asked to download the CBB update (as the request came as i was opening the project) or straight after. I plugged the Focusrite in, launched CBB and it was recognised as the audio device. I unplugged it and rebooted CBB with the no audio devices detected message. The Realtek still plays music and other sounds its just CBB seems to have disassociated itself with it. Has anyone any thoughts?
  7. Hi _New to CbB but not new to Cakewalk products. I recorded an audio track which went fine using a condensor mic through a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4. When i tried to record a 2nd audio track in a new audio track using the same settings (i.e. 1st input and 1st output) from the Focusrite there was just silence. No wav file was recorded. Is this a feature or a bug? In the past I have recorded many separate audio tracks using the same settings as the one before without a problem. I just wondered if i was missing anything. Thanks.
  8. Hi. If I wanted to raise or lower the volume of part of a track is there a way to do this similar to the volume envelopes that existed a while ago? Thank you
  9. This is surely an issue with me only but it is a bit of a bug bear. When I click on the two downward arrows to increase the height of a track it doesn't increase it enough to allow the 'output' synth to be visible . This means an extra action to manually pull the line a bit lower. Is this something anyone is familiar with and if so is there a workaround/setting change I should be aware of? Many thanks
  10. Hi = Thanks to you both. I was trying to play SF2 files but SFZ was 32-bit. I managed to find a 64 bit one. Cheers
  11. Hi - would it be fair to say that a 32bit SF2 (soundfont) file could not possibly play through SFZ in CbB? I have tried without any success. Thanks
  12. Hi - Does anyone know whether an audio interface connected to a PC (i.e. Focusrite Scarlett) will become the default route for all inputs and outputs on that PC? For example if it was assigned to be used in CbB would the audio interface also provide the routing for all sounds for the other apps/programmes (Windows media player for example)? Thanks
  13. Thanks again - but the Asio driver should be fine for the Focusrite Scarlett?
  14. Changed it to Waspi - working now thank you so much. The focusrite will be out tomorrow.
  15. A couple of other things. Audio driver bit depth set at 24. Buffering playback queue set at 2. Buffer size 1024. Driver - Asio
  16. Further to the above I also tried to load a drums sample from the library and after taking maybe 10-20 seconds to load the dropout occurred before I clicked 'play'
  17. Hi - this is my first visit after finally having downloaded CbB (although have been a Cakewalk user since Cakewalk Apprentice). Am using a Dell Inspiron All in One PC. i7 10th Gen 16gb Ram First time I have used the PC. I open Cakewalk and click on the Demos. They take maybe a minute to load (an age it seems). When I click play I get an immediate dropout code (0). The mouse pointer then goes into a spin and i have to close Cakewalk down . I am presently relying on the PCs internal sound (although I will be plugging in a Focusrite Scarlett when all is well). I have nothing to go off from this so would appreciate any assistance especially if anyone has had the same experience. Thank you in advance.
