  1. I guess it depends what you're into...if you need convincing guitar vst's the free ones that I've seen are all a bit crap or quite limited, but other than that I think it's more than possible to make something that would sound reasonable to the everyday listener. It's only us lunatics that spend hours/days/weeks/months obsessing over the minute details of the sound that nobody else will ever notice even assuming that they will shut up for long enough to actually listen to the whole track.
  2. Not sure what all this joining of forces means for the future, mostly concerning me is whose idea of support for the combined businesses wins out (Please don't let NI be in charge of that...!!) but Ethereal Earth is a very nice freebie though, so I'll take that and hope that there won't be a price to pay down the line.
  3. Well, let's see now....... Offline DAW PC IM is not compatible with OS Regardless of above, I'm generally not in the habit of installing proprietary product "managers" for the sake of a couple of freebies that I probably won't ever use anyway.
  4. Thanks. Their website is painfully slow for me right now, so I'll have a go tomorrow.
  5. Is there any way to install the PA stuff without installing their "Installation Manager" ?
  6. Better that than having her follow you around for the rest of your life wearing a tear and mascara stained wedding dress (which is what I've always imagined she would be like) so you should probably take the win. 😀
  7. Probably made all his money writing songs about you. You're like all of Adele's ex boyfriends.😀
  8. Every time that I've ever ventured across to the Bandlab side of things it felt like trying to understand the workings of the teenage mind.......confusing and pointless because even they don't really understand, they just enjoy the idea that some supposedly rational humans will drive themselves crazy trying to figure it all out so that they can be "cool". Which means that I have no good explanation as to why I even bothered to investigate this and for this I feel slightly ashamed. It's not like I can even claim that I was having a bad day, because as days go it was actually going quite well..... Anyway, having tried to step out of my comfort zone, or whatever reason it was that I persuaded myself to try this all I can say is that if I was so devoid of ideas that any of the five or so that it came up seemed to be quite viable, then the only help that would actually be would be to serve as confirmation that it really was time for me to find some other way to spend my spare time.
  9. Why are we only allowed lame ones and what criteria is used to determine when it's time for another one?
  10. In my experience the biggest culprit for unexpectedly taking up C drive space is Cakewalk crashes. The amount of crap that seems to get dumped into system error reporting when it crashes can soon build up. Not long ago, altered by rapidly dwindling space for no apparent reason, a system clean up operation revealed 30GB+ of CW related files.
  11. Knock, Knock.....Knock, Knock.....Knock, Knock.....Knock, Knock, Knock, Knock.....Knock, Knock.....Knock, Knock.....Knock, Knock. Who's there ? It's Brian from the OCD support group.....
  12. Don't feel too badly about yourselves... the viewing figures would seem to suggest that you weren't alone....at least you fessed up.
  13. I heard that the company is so heavily propped up by the income they take from one member here that they're considering renaming the company Baputrack.
  14. Which APD will claim to be a reduction from $1999.99 saving you $1970.
  15. Erm..ok then...I'll try and be a bit more descriptive for you... I was referring to ............The guy with the ginger beard. HTH. 😀
  16. Energy Sound The guy with the ginger beard seems to be really quite punchable though.
  17. .....opportunity to show how gullible you can be. 😀
  18. 90% off LOL !! As per with APD the before price is BS, but it's quite a nice synth for this price. For the benefit of any CW users considering this, the VST2 version had a tendency to crash after unfreezing, when I got it a couple of years ago, but the VST3 version works ok. IA said it was a CW problem, so maybe that's been fixed now, but if not removing the VST2 version sorted it for me.
  19. I would have thought that a tape measure would be more suitable.....
  20. IIRC they went bust with big debts last year. It seems that they have just started up again under a new name. I wouldn't give them a penny.
  21. ♫ Plaaayyyy the best song in the world.............or I'll eat your soul...♫
