  1. Nice feature for those that work that way.
  2. I used to have one that I made for all the knobs on an analogue synth that I had. I used it to put colour coded marks for the correct settings for each song it was used on so that I could set it up between songs without having to press a key to find out if it was set up right. When I later got a digital synth where I could program the patch change sequence in advance and just use a footswitch to advance to the next one in the chain each time, it was much quicker and easier in the live setting, but part of me kind of missed the pressure of the frantic fiddling to be ready in time. Plus it made me look more like I knew what I was doing.😀
  3. I'm wouldn't call myself a fan, but I've never really understood why they always tend to get such a rough ride when there is so much more out there that is so much worse.
  4. I got it when it was free, but it's still a nice thing to have at this price. I tried the demo at launch but felt that it wasn't worth the full asking price. It is a bit of a resource hog though, so my old wheezy PC doesn't allow me to use it much.
  5. Back in my day "our" PA system and mixer was actually jointly owned by the guitarist and a guy he worked with who was the one who manned the mixer for live purposes and thus almost a sixth band member, although he had no musical input whatsoever, and he was paid an equal cut of whatever meagre sum we managed to get which usually amounted to whatever we could get from door receipts, minus keeping the guy who manned the door in beer all night. To offset the cost of buying it they would hire both the equipment and him out to other bands when we weren't using it. Sensible idea and it seemed to go well. People had many good things to say about the set up. Quite often though I quietly felt that our sound wasn't quite as good as it should have been all things considered, but figured that standing on a cramped "stage" usually quite near the drummer probably wasn't the best position from which to judge, so I said nothing. Then one time, after there had been a few gigs with multiple bands on, all of whom had played through "our" PA with "our" guy on the mixer, a regular attendee came up to me and asked how come we had the worst sound quality of all the bands when he was supposed to be our guy ? Later conversations with others went along the same lines, so it turned out to be an early lesson for me that being right about something could be a bad thing. I never did say anything because the people who said it were supposed to be his mates, so it seemed like going there would be opening a whole can of worms. Sometimes I felt that the others knew it too really, but didn't want to upset him seeing that as he didn't drink so didn't mind also being the driver.
  6. I guess it must be a popular name.
  7. Is that similar to a Cato diet ?
  8. Is one of them called Minjeeta ?

    R.I.P

Top tip of the Day...... Avoid long queues by visiting a local cemetery and becoming ridiculously emotional about someone else that you never met.
  10. Not as odd as the look you'll get if you ask for some human milk.

    Stay (In Love)

I was just listening and thinking to myself that this would probably sound great on headphones. Not that's it's too shabby on laptop speakers, but I think I'll come back to this one when I have my headphones.
  12. Top notch work as per..... (git) 😀
  13. I've literally just listened to a track featuring an old forum favourite of mine and now this..... The return of the pugtones.... what a day to be alive ! Mix sounds good here (lappy speakers) and Warren sounding smoother than ever. So smooth in fact that it's amazing he generates enough friction to be able to stand up.
  14. Understatement of the year. 😊 I've missed hearing Tony's work here as it was always top notch. Listening on lappy speakers only, but even so the mix comes across very well.
  15. I always liked the reverb module - pro people will say that applying reverb doesn't belong in the mastering process and there is no doubt that those folks will have probably forgotten more about the subject than I will ever know, but all the same, it gave a certain something to the sound that I wasn't able to achieve otherwise. I've even been known to add O5 as a vst into the 09A standalone just to effectively put that reverb module back.
  16. LMAO. Speaking from my experience with their periodic "loyalty" offers, they don't even seem to know what products I already own, so I hope for their sake that the same person isn't in charge of compiling usage data, which in my case they have no way of knowing anyway.
  17. Yeah, I guess you could just load up all the individual modules into the fx bin of your DAW if you don't ever need the AI help to get you started, but I'm a dummy that needs all the help I can get. I'm happy enough with 09A, so not really a problem for me.
  18. The stand alone version allows 3rd party vsts to run inside ozone itself and be moved up or down the signal chain in the same way as the ozone modules. Unless it has changed now this was not possible in the DAW version.
  19. Fair point, but I guess the marketing folks figured that getting people to ask for coffee with a splash of nut juice might lead to some awkward situations
  20. $6 ?? You could get 7 kazoos for that.😎
