  1. Dude you have been so aggressive towards me on multiple of my posts, why do you even come on here if you're going to act like that? I didn't say anything bad, just expressed my experience. I can't just get a new interface in a day, so if there is something I can do about it for the time being, I'm going to try. Please get out of here with your negative attitude.
  2. In general, it doesn't really seem like there's much else wrong with it. When I know how to use Cakewalk, everything seems fine. I also didn't always have that metronome issue, I must've done something but all in all, to me it doesn't seem bad. I can record audio and it sounds okay to me.
  3. I can't return it lol, I've had it for like 4 years
  4. I have this one because my dad's friend owns a studio and he said that it's effective in what it does.
  5. Well, if I disengage the button then I won't be able to hear anything. That button needs to be pressed in order to use the interface with the DAW. I do see the waves coming in from the metronome, and I am already using WASAPI
  6. No, I have have nothing plugged in there. I do have the EXT/USB TO MAIN button pressed, though.
  7. The metronome is loud, it's not faint in the background. Where can I check that manual?
  8. Hi guys, So bascially when I record an audio track with the metronome, I can hear it during playback. I don't have the option "Metronome during playback" turned on, and I know it's not that because when I turned it on, I then heard two metronomes. I've read in some places it could be a "bleed" but I'm not really sure what that exactly means or how to go about that I'm using the Alesis Multimix 4 USB FX interface.
  9. So the exact issue is the Playback I/O. When I changed it to 512, it worked, but when I changed it back to what I originally had it on it didn't, so yay
  10. OMG IT WORKED!!! Thank you guys so so so much! I did already have the EXT/USB TO MAIN button pressed, but it didn't actually work until I changed the settings!!!! Thanks!!
  11. I have the output audio selected as speakers because the other option just plays out of my computer speakers. I have headphones plugged into my USB audio device. It was working fine like that before. I have tried to plug and disconnect everything and my piano isn't connect right now. The bigger issue is that I can't hear through my headphones what I've already recorded.
  12. Okay, thank you I appreciate that. I will like the comments as I see them, I didn't even know you could mark something as solved, so that's my bad. So, first, I'm using a Alesis Multimix 4 USB FX. In this, I have my microphone and headphones plugged in. The box itself has been plugged into my Lenovo computer. According to both my settings in Cakewalk and regular settings on the computer, the output is the USB device and the input is also the USB device. This was working perfectly fine until I had plugged in the MIDI using my ydp-181 arius yahama piano. As we discussed, I couldn't hear anything but then because of the forum I was able to figure out that I needed a soft synth, and that worked fine for me. Then, once I unplugged the MIDI, the sound for everything went away. Naturally, I checked my settings, and everything looked as it should be. I did the same for the preferences in Cakewalk, still nothing. I also found I couldn't real anything on my actual, real-life piano even with the MIDI completely unplugged. I was only able to hear me clicking the physical keys when I reset my piano. Then, I tested changing the output to my regular computer speakers, and was able to hear everything perfectly. It was once I put in the headphones I couldn't hear it. I had the guys at Windows check it, they said everything is up to date and that the sound should be coming out. I tried different headphones and a different wire, still nothing. Cakewalk reads the noise, it's just not coming through. I thought maybe completely resetting the audio would fix it since I had to reset my piano in order to hear it again, but I don't know if that's even possible to do. I hope that all made sense.
  13. I did watch the videos, I still can't hear anything. I don't know why you think I'm not trying to do anything. I first thought it was an issue with my computer so I let the windows people go into my computer and check everything. My computer is working fine and all my settings are correct too. This is a different issue than my previous post. I figured that out once I had gotten the comments. Now I straight up can't hear anything at all.
  14. That's because I had figured it out once I saw the comments. This a completely different issue from my other previous posts. My past post was about me not being able to hear the piano, this was about not hearing anything at all.
  15. Bro, my other questions were about not being able to hear my piano. I literally cannot hear anything at all. Absolutely nothing. That is what I'm asking
  16. No, I can't hear anything at all. Not my vocals, not anything I recorded without midi, nothing. Not even the metronome

Thanks, I actually didn't even see that reply. But I don't really get it. I have an actual piano/keyboard that I'm hooking up to the computer with a MIDI USB cable, why do I need to insert a synth? I thought a synth was only for if you don't have an instrument and that's why you needed a MIDI controller
