  1. "Bioscape is discounted by 40% during the sale ($159 → $95) so if you are looking to get your hands on Bioscape, maybe now is the time? Use the code cozydaysahead to apply the discount." https://www.luftrum.com/bioscape/ FYI: You can now drag & drop your own samples into the sample windows in Bioscape, making it possible to mix yours up with the "found sound" factory cinematic samples library. https://www.luftrum.com/
  2. Hope that solved it! I recall that when SampleTank 4 was first released, the library paths were a bit flaky. I used 2 library paths, one for legacy ST3 libraries and one for all new ST4 libraries. At some point when I ran an update, or reinstalled ST4, I would often end up with two paths for ST4, and the ST3 path would disappear. Or something like that... and I would have to manually adjust it. I thought they fixed that as it's been stable for a couple of years now.
  3. I got the full Kontakt 6 at the 50% off sale in 2021, and with crossgrade from Player the total was $124.50. I think the crossgrade was $249 at the time without a sale. I also received the same offer in 2020, but I passed it up then. Maybe they didn't offer the same deal in 2022? Probably need to check with Larry on the specifics here... oh, wait!!! 🤪
  4. Wait for the next NI 50% off sale to pull the crossgrade trigger! Even better deal!
  5. True, but like I said, a little bit in moderation. If diabetic, be sure to follow your doctor's and nutritionist's advice rather than some random dude on the internet!
  6. @Amicus717^^^ This is a good idea to check, since the problem appears to happen when the GUI window is closed. FYI: I just checked ST 4 v4.2.2.0 VST3 in Studio One 5 and the latest CbB. All good, even created and saved a 4-part multi in S1, then opened it in CbB. Opened and closed the plugin GUI several times in each DAW without any crashes. Assuming Windows 10 is up to date, also make sure that you have the necessary Windows Visual C++ redistributables installed. Sometimes when some of those are missing or not up to date strange things can happen due to application dependencies. More likely the most recent ones needed for current software, and the older ones for legacy software. This is the list of them installed on my Windows 10 PC (from Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features):
  7. Found this one already lurking in my Amplitube 5 collection...
  8. I guess the Bitwig execs were broken-hearted over the Venus Theory breakup... 😉
  9. That's a good reason not to jump onto the upgrade bandwagon before it is absolutely necessary. I value stability over the latest new thing.
  10. Well I didn't want to say that Win 10 is supported until Oct. 14, 2025. So no reason to rush into Win 11 if stability is what you want. But I just did. MS growing pains, maybe?
  11. I have the NanoPad, but not the NanoKontrol. I would check with KORG to see if they have updated drivers.
  12. That one looks interesting! Reviewed on SOS here: https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/united-plugins-transmutator
  13. Not really fond of the UVI workstation. Never really clicked with me for some reason. I have a Digital Synth sound set from UVI that I no longer use. Passed up the NI Retro Machines MK2 that came with Komplete. Same for the Tracktion Retromod series, I have one of those that remains unused.
  14. That's not bad! Stevia is also a good alternative. But I generally just use organic sugar, raw honey, maple syrup, or agave nectar in moderation. A little goes a long way once you learn to curb your sweet tooth. I still drink my coffee black, but like the equivalent of 1 tsp sweetener in my tea, regular or herbal. I like my whiskey straight, none of that fruity sweet crap for me, LOL!!!

  16. You may want to take a look at Renegade Acoustic Guitar from Indiginus. It's very reasonably priced ($69), but requires the full version of Kontakt. https://www.indiginus.com/renegade-acoustic-guitar https://soundbytesmag.net/review-renegade-acoustic-guitar-from-indiginus/ 32 generic strum patterns come built in that you can use as-is or modify, or you can create your own from scratch. You can link ten of these to ten keyswitches for on-the-fly pattern switching. The strum sequencer can have up to sixteen steps. Each step specifies whether the chord should be an up- or down-stroke, muted or sustained, and each stroke’s velocity. It’s simple and intuitive. Orange Tree Samples virtual guitars for Kontakt Player, such as Evolution Songwriter ($179) have a strum module that allows you to edit and save user strum patterns. Ample Sound virtual guitars (non-Kontakt) such as Ample Guitar M ($169) feature the Strummer — a built-in sequencer that makes it possible for users to develop their own strum patterns. As far as I know the virtual guitars from Native Instruments and UJAM just provide preset strum patterns.
  17. Just saw this in the Ample Sound guitar strummer guide: 1.7 Strum with Articulations (Original) By combining articulation keyswitches and chord switch keys, you can play Natural Harmonic, Palm Mute, Slide In & Out, Legato Slide, Hammer-On & Pull-Off and Pop while strumming.
  18. There's a few good ones in that list that qualify for impulse buys! Melda MCompare ($12) looks interesting. Already have Cherry Audio CA2600($12), Eventide Shimmerverb ($24), Kilohearts Convolver ($19.50), Melda MDynamic Eq ($12), and Tracktion Biotek 2 ($23.88).
  19. If it had been me I would have contacted customer support directly.
