Vital is a very cool synth!

I believe that is a fairly common software industry practice. No surprises here... I agree that if one benefits from upgrade pricing, that there should be no expectation of un-linking the previous product that the upgrade price was based upon. As it should be, and totally fair to the software publisher. You are free to disagree, but it is what it is. 😉

I've uninstalled all of my other sampled synths except for Syntronik Deluxe 1. Disk space is not free. The modeled synths that I also have can do the same as Syntronik without a huge disk footprint. But I do like the sound that Syntronik provides! I will consider version 2, but only if I can be assured that installing it will not cause any issues with my current installation...

OK, but I believe that NFR restrictions for upgrades and crossgrades are reasonable... i.e. the existing license has been continued into the discounted price for the next version. So your old license for the original version in now part of your current license. Why should you be able to sell that?

That's why I now have 25, 32, 49, and 61 keys... The 25 keys fits very nicely in front of my main PC display near my PC keyboard & mouse. I also have a keyboard stand with the 61 keys and a 2nd PC display set at a 90 degrees right angle to the left of the main workstation (maybe that would make it a left angle). The 32 and 49 are backups now, ready if a need another, but no space for a permanent starting position for them in my current setup.

I've never been a guitar player, but I do own a Fender P-Bass. 4 strings is plenty, and 2 would be just fine! 🤣 Funny thing, is that I don't have any issues with 88 keys, or whatever... it's the same 12 notes repeated octave after octave...

I am a former brass player, but have family members that are excellent woodwind players. I have always been fascinated by the development of MIDI wind controllers. The woodwinds always intimidated me due to the multiple keys. I thought that 3 valves was enough, LOL! 🤣

Don't bother with the cheaper Arturia Keylab Essential. No aftertouch there, so that was a deal breaker for me on a controller. Also @ZincThad a bad experience with one of those models. He ended up exchanging it for a different brand after exhausting repair options. I'm sure they are probably not all lemons, but his sure was. I went for the Keylab 61 MkII earlier this year. Had to back order the 61 Mk11 for 2 months, as it was out of stock everywhere. But seriously, the build quality in the Mk11 is outstanding. Metal chassis, and the same keybed used on one of their MatrixBrute hardware synths. This thing is heavy! Reminiscent of my old Korg, Roland, and Alesis romplers. I have a few other cheap plastic controller keyboards that I feel no particular love for, so I wanted to splurge on something solid! Highly recommended! And the dedicated integration with Analog Lab is a bonus.

Actually mine is quite the opposite. I acquired EZdrummer this year, but I wish I had known that the GUI was not resizable before doing so... At least The AD2 GUI can be resized!

I believe so. I have the Sonar FX bundle from Nomad Factory, but it's only authorized to work in Cakewalk by BandLab, or Sonar. This retail bundle should be unlocked for all.

As opposed to other products that either have regular paid upgrades, or a subscription, or a WUP plan... XLN AD2 is a mature product that works very well, and probably doesn't need many new features. I commend them for continued support and maintenance releases for free. But I agree, a new kit every now and then would be nice...
