  1. But it would be a good buy for me. My MB is only Gen 3.
  2. The 2tb was $109 a short time ago. So this is a good sign.
  3. And those ears are about as big too!! Should be ashamed of myself!!
  4. I didn't think computers were used in music ar all at this time. I mean mainstream stuff. I realize as long ago as the 50's I believe some type of experimental music using what was called computers was being put out.
  5. Yeah, she one of my all time favorite too. So is Beverly Crusher. And Diana Troy!! And her mom!! Tmi?
  6. Well I didn't miss the boat this time!! [TOTP!!!]
  7. @Jacques Boileau that's a beautiful guitar. Nice job you did on that. Too nice a wood to cover it with paint.
  8. Is TruOil the same as Tung Oil? [edit] I see now. Gun stock finish. Ok. I got it now.
  9. This is very helpful. Was looking at this very file last night. I think I stuck it on my wish list. This is also very helpful as this was an item I was looking at after watching video. I have a friend that has used the Stewmac aerosol spays to do a Tobaccoburst finish on his guitar and it looks great! Your guitar in the photo is sweet!! Is that the Wilkerson kit your talking about? I will have to check my G&L Legacy and MIC Squire necks to see what they are.
  10. I can get lost for hours in those StewMac Videos!!
  11. This is exactly what I thought of doing with one of my triangle files when I read your post. This is what concerns me. I have a guitar that a friend built, and he had to line the neck up, drill the holes, and screw them in. He told me it was a job he had not anticipated when he took on the build. That guitar he built turned into a keeper. It has a Performance unfinished neck with a DiMarzio S-style body, Original Floyd Rose trem, SD Invader (original!!) pup in the bridge and a innovative (at the time) stacked single coil style in neck. Excellent sounding and extremely enjoyable to play. If I could build something comparable to that I would be proud!!
  12. Yes he was. And it was years before I really realized that the great distortion on those Deep Purple records was him!!
  13. This is what I was wondering about. Reading the manual hadn't crossed my mind either. Great idea. Nice idea. I have seen the price of crowning fret files and was like.... do I really need that? Good solution here. Thanks for that info. I have the tools I need for sure. I have some setup tools that I have had for years. Some new stuff I got in recent years that I am still really trying to get some use out of them!!
  14. This never crossed my mind. Great perspective. Yeah, I am seeing that for sure. Not looking to recoup any funds, just the enjoyment of the finished product. Yep, I have no illusion of ever getting that type of experience. But hey, ya never know. I am the same way. I have a guitar that I been trying to rewire for quite a while! I can only do so much. Then I gotta take a break. My eyes just ain't what they use to be. And I got a solder stand with clips and a magnifying glass that helps... a little. Sometimes it's more trouble than it's worth!! But I keep at it.
  15. That does seem to be pretty darn amazing.
  16. Alright. You finally talked me into it. I figure instead of me trying to learn all the different synths I have, I will learn the Unify way and be done with it!! LOL!! Kinda excited to see what this can do.
  17. I totally agree with you: the burden lies with the user/plugin. And I think this is the reason CW does what it does: leaves plugins saved with project and doesn't try to update them. That would be a nightmare to be honest. To the user and the devs!
  18. Yes CW can do that. But I think he is talking about older projects that when opened can replace a synth in the project with the newer version of synth now installed on machine. Yes it is. Which is why I didn't even go there!!
