  1. I thought you.... Never mind!
  2. In this regard ( creating ideas) I find ST4 lacking. It has some really good MIDI that comes with it for making music, but I haven't been able to manipulate them the way I would like. With the guitar strumming,(to me the acoustic guitar sounds are really good), and the MIDI loops for them are good. You are suppose to be able to manipulate them, but I haven't been able to get it to work. I have been meaning to send in a support ticket on it and have forgotten all about it. So I prefer to work in EZ Keys, Obleisk (great program) or something like that to get a fresh idea going. For me it's just easier to work with. There are pianos I prefer in ST4 over EZ Keys, but EZ Keys plays the midi files I create more realistically.
  3. This^^^^! In my post above I wanted to say how Jamstix is worth the price for Jamcussion alone!! I didn't use Jamcussion for almost two years. I was determined to learn JS4 first. Well once I did, I was so use to using it without Jamcussion I never thought about it! When I first put it in a song, it was like a whole new world opened up!! I never realized what good percussion could do for my songs!!
  4. That's the truth. A GREAT plugin, and I'm glad I have it and stuck with it, but for me, the learning curve was straight up. Agreed. What did help me was getting the manual out while I was trying to do something. Still, it's a learning curve. But I can get almost anything I want with it. Using the Jamstix Classic Style is really where I get what I want. That little 16 dot box can really do anything.. really!! Using the Time parameter on the beat you need in the Bar Editor, you just can't beat it!! I have used the sounds also in some of my songs. They mix well. Aknowledging the learning curve, once you do get it down, come up with your own workflow, creating a song (a whole song) is easy. Then you just import the midi into daw and add finishing touches.
  5. That was a good price. Don't think I seen it that low.
  6. They must use really bright monitors in a very dark environment!!
  7. LOL!!! Agree with ya Bapu, I got everything I need!! And more. But I went ahead and picked up Orb Producer Suite!
  8. The aesthetics could definitely use a facelift! But the functionality has been much improved! Agree with both of you. I still use ST3 on my Surface Pro. And it's not too bad!! But has much more in the contrast department for sure.
  9. Boy ya gotta wonder about marketing: We are going to make it more attractive to WUP by giving you a voucher to help defray the cost of WUP'ing! But, you can only use the voucher in certain circumstances so that we don't give you all your money back!!!
  10. Glad you enjoyed it Larry. BF for me was a good one this year also. Really happy about the deals I got. Now on the Cyber Monday!!
  11. That looks very interesting. Sounds really good too! Haven't used in a big mix yet but what I heard I like. This could be useful.
  12. Yeah. I am almost there. This was the best BF in a while for me. So much so I forgot about Cyber Monday!!
  13. May today ended for them already?
  14. Grem

    Alright...

I am about to tap out!!! Last couple of BF I really didn't get much. This BF I am racking up!!
  15. I had forgot about those. I went back and got the Songwriters and Fusion pks. Thanks Russ. So did I!!!
  16. So what you're saying is there maybe another plugin coming?
  17. Yep. This is me exactly. It works for me! I don't see it as awful. The music I compose doesn't require anything more than ST4. And I'm really happy and proud I got it for such a deal!! I am only letting others like me know that info.
  18. I am at work, and have been messing with the presets off and on all day. I really like this synth. Want to read up more in the manual. But this has lots of potential. Lots!!
  19. Agreed. So did I. With no code. [edit] well... I did use the SNACKS code!!
  20. Not sure what you mean by "better than last releases" If you mean the newer versions of the Pultec/Teletronix that UA put out, I have yet to test them as I have only recently purchased the newer versions of the Pultec and LA2A. But I can tell you this, the "Classics" plugins that they give away with all the new/used units are nothing to sneeze at. Those work better than anything I have in the box/native. I have never used good quaility HW Zo. So I can't compare to that. Yes my mixes are much easier now. My vocals sit much better. I have used the SSL 4kE on a lot of my vocals and it's just so easy to have them be up front without being too loud, if that makes sense. Recording my acoustic guitars now are much more of a pleasure. And sound so rich. And I haven't even mic'd them yet! That's just running the on-board preamp on the guitars through the Neve preamp, or the SSL. As a result Zo, I can record, listen, be happy, and record the next thing knowing I got a good capture. This!!^^^^ I just never realized how these tools would make things go so much faster. As far as the plugins each one: >API Vision - love this thing. I never heard much about it. But I demo'd it and bought it right off. This is a gem! >Lexicon 224 - OMG!! Seriously best reverb out there. I have the EMT140 and 250, and both of these sounds beautiful. But something about that Lexicon reverb breathes life into the recordings without being overpowering. Waves AR PLates was my favorite until I used this plugin. >Just got the Manley Variable Mu, and the Neve Dynamics Collection the BF. SO haven't had a chance to work with them yet. >Oceanway Studios is something that I have worked with. Got good results, but I tend to gravitate toward IK Sunset, more familiar with it. For me with the Oceanway plugin, I got to work with it more to get a good sound. But when you do get it, it was worth the effort.
  21. The reason I am selling the Twin Duo USB is I upgraded to a Twin X Quad TB3. And I really thought the original Twin sounded great. But the Twin X sounds much better! I am in hog heaven!!
  22. D/L the demo and man is this thing worth the money!! $29? No brainer here!! The bass is so rich, smooth, just .... just.... mmmm!!!! Very unique Arp. It took me a few minutes to figure it out. (Really need to look at the manual!! Just playing with it for now) But this arp has some serious potential!! Think I will grab this one!
