My old legacy program worked perfectly. You talked me into the Cakewalk by Bandlab. I saved all my programs on the bandlab format. Now when I go back to Legacy, most of my programs will not work. It took me twelve hours per file to do. If I can continue to use Cakewalk by bandlab, my files will still work. I don’t care about more improvements. I just need my files to work. If you were going to charge at a later date, you should have made that clear with the legacy unlimited users. I am highly upset because my file will not work on the legacy side since saving on the Bandlab side. Fix my problem so my files will work on Legacy and all will be good. If you can fix my problem my band is going to be down. I am not putting 12 hours times 48 songs time into redoing all my files. That is 576 hours to fix my files. If I had never saved my files to the Bandlab format, I would not have a problem now. To be truthful with you, I could not tell a difference between the two programs except that my saved Bandlab files would not longer work in the Legacy side. As long as I use the Bandlab program, all my files work. What you need to do now is update the legacy to the free version of bandlab so all my files will continue to work.  This would solve all my problems. If the legacy owners did decide to update, what would be the cost? I am not interested in paying a monthly fee, or a big one time fee. How ever you can get my programs to work with no cost will make me happy. I don’t need any of the new program coming out, but just need the free Bandlab to continue working or fix the legacy to work with my programs. I have a gig March 22 and I need my programs to work.

    MIDI track Dance)))

    Existing project:

    1. Added a new midi track.

    2. Dragg&drop (copied) a midi clip into it.

    3.  Added audio track.

    4. Loaded a synth into it.

    5.  I connected a midi track...

Everything sounds. But here's what happens with the graphics:

    https://mega.nz/file/I7JFRAjb#ZFPTzbYFq6hbDS8VC0tiV4tzuNMFsW3qD9hxz662tt4

After the project was reloaded, the dance stopped.))

    No mouse sticking.

Wrong!. 1. insert an instrument track  with that synth that you need. 2. copy/drag and drop the midi clip. Done!

  3. Hi friends! I use three sound cards on firewire: M-AUDIO PROJECTMIX, T.C. ELECTRONIC KONNEKT 24 D and ALESIS IO 26. All with Windows 7 drivers but which also work perfectly on Windows 10. The laptop has an express card/34 DELOCK connection, with TI chipset. In perspective, because the laptop has a third-generation I7 processor, I am studying the problem of switching to a Thunderbolt connection to make the switch to firewire, namely... an adapter from Thunderbolt 4 to Thunderbolt 3/2 and from here a another adapter to firewire 400. What I don't know yet is whether the sound card drivers, which are on Windows 7, will also work on Windows 11...

Except that this model uses ASIO4ALL and doesn't have a dedicated driver. Puts it out of the running.

A couple steps up in the Behringer food chain gets a real ASIO driver.

Nonsense. The number of ins & outs has nothing to do with the quality of the drivers.

Sorry ... I did not express myself correctly, I think .... I was not referring to quality but to the fact that there are no dedicated drivers for this model. Meanwhile, Scook clarified for me.

  5. Thanks Scook! I understand. But even if he uses wasapi drivers, it's still not good to mix them with those of the laptop's onboard sound card. I'll check too ... At one point I had a Behringer UCA 200 board in my hand, which officially didn't have 24-bit ASIO drivers and ... I don't know how, other than on their official website but I found those drivers ... and they worked perfectly. I'll look ... I promise!

  6. Scook is right. Now let's start with the most accurate and precise things. 1. Connect the interface via the USB cable .... not via audio cables or anything else. 2. download the drivers from Behringer special for this sound card model ... not something else generalist type ASIOFOR ALL, or other nonsense like that. I see in gray about 8 out what your model does not have 8 outs ... a sign that the drivers are not good. 3. very important!  Disables all inputs and outputs that contain the laptop sound card, as long as an in or an out of the laptop sound card is active ... the ASIO drivers of your Behringer sound card will not work ... or will be gray, meaning inactive. Make sure that only the inputs and outputs of your sound card are active in the window with the inputs and outputs of the audio subgroup from the cakewalk properties. 3. Put on ASIO, mandatory to driver mode and then make sure that playback timing master and record timing master are inputs of the Behringer sound card, usually the first two ... I think that's it. That's about it. The system will work. Success!

  7. Of course, Cakewalk has been massively renewed in recent years. I think 3 or 4 updates from last year were dedicated to export. What I don't understand is something else ... how can you still work in an old and outdated program morally and physically, when you have a new and friendly one at your disposal?

  8. How strange! You should be proud because I have the feeling that you are the only one who has this happen to you. Cakewalk doesn't compare to the X3 ... in terms of stability, workflow and upgrade it's light years from the X3 ... which is somewhere in primitive antiquity. Usually posts like this come from people who don't know how to make their settings in the program. How can things work perfectly for everyone and not for you? ... how strange! ... How strange!

Anyone know if it is possible to get Sonar Platinum by BandLab to run most of the current session in RAM instead of caching on the hard drive.  I am working to minimize audio dropouts. Is this even the right question, I wonder?

OS: Windows 10 Home, 64-Bit, current release

    RAM: 32 GB

    Processor: Quad core @ 3.5GHz

    Hard drive: RAID 0

This computer is dedicated for Cakewalk Sonar Platinum by BandLab. Nothing else besides Windows and its essential drivers and the motherboard's basic utilities have been installed on this machine. Windows has been set for performance and trimmed for reduced number of perks and background processes. All the bells and whistles the Microsoft Edge browser offers have been disabled. No email app either.

    Best Regards,

    Ray N

I do not understand. Do you use Sonar Platinium or Cakewalk by Bandlab? They are two different things. Please clarify so we can help you.

загружает проекты без проблем, но иногда происходит произвольное отключение звукового движка. сама аудиокарта признаков отключения не подает (обычно мигает)  в коммутации ничего не менял

Thank you for enabling offline authorization.

As my DAW computer is permanently offline, what is the process for downloading and installing this version?

Can I directly download the installer on an internet-connected PC?

    Thanks.
