  1. I recently bought a "B Stock" guitar from them. Prompt delivery, great customer service, the guitar arrived and I could not tell difference from a brand new one tbh. They are great company, def legit.

    HI Nigel

It is a huge improvement. I never did gel with SSD4. I really like the SSD5. I have a current project where i was using Hard Rock EZX but i now keep switching back to one of the presets in SSD5. When I was using SSD4 i rarely would use it on projects, as I had same issue as you...it just seemed overcomplicated. I am excited to try these Classic Rock EZX though :)

Go to the SSD5 website there are a lot of great videos on routing etc, I think it is better than SSD4.

Hi Mark - a question   -   I noticed your comments re SSD5 -  i have SSD4 and used to use it many years ago, but i never liked the routing -  did they change it in SSD5?? I never did upgrade - in fact I sort of put  Slate software on my blacklist! All the broken promises re the content for SSD4 was extremely disappointing to say the least - in fact I have quite a lot of "old" slate stuff that is now not even installed -   the limiter, the channel emulations etc shame

Anyway I digress - what I meant to ask is did they sort all the issues with SSD5

    Thanks

    Nigel

  3. In this instance I think the SDX is the one to go for. But i think we could still achieve a lot if we simply opt for the EZX. It does seem like i have been waiting for years for this. I dabble with SD3 but mainly to tweak my drum midi. I then tend to use SSD5 on my midi. I am hoping this SDX or EZX pulls me back to working with one drum module, that being SD3.  🤔

Wasn't aware of that, where did you find that out?

Wow, this is useful to know. I am on Cubase 10 and i think it does all i would ever need. But this upgrade price is super tempting.

I like Chris's videos, I will have to watch this one and decide whether to upgarde:

  5. I have only had success moving midi into EZ Bass or Superior Drummer 3 for that matter using Cubase Pro 10. I have never had any luck dragging midi from Logic Pro X into a track of EZ Bass or from Studio One 4.

Neglected to mention, the Pre's are CLEAN,
and the adjustments are nice.  The variable
Z-Tone is BONUS!  Being able to select Active
or Passive pickups is a very nice feature!

Not fond of the Plastic Sides...but they're pretty
    Heavy Duty, so it's ok.

Will play some more later...have to go visit my Brother
in Rehab for a bit...but initial impressions are favorable!

Yep, 100% agree with this the Pre's are very clean on this. This Axe I/O is way better than the Roland Quad Capture that I was using.

Ordered...if it meets my expectations I'll be selling my
Apollo Twin USB with a bunch of plugins included
for a good price - it's like new, so if someone is looking
for one let me know...I'll make you a heck of a deal!

I think you will love it, i just set my Axe I/O up as I am replacing my older Roland Quad Capture. Believe the hype this is built for us guitarists and I think I will enjoy my DAW mixing work a lot more with this unit. I am glad i took the plunge. Kudo's to IK Multimedia. I wish this was around a few years back, technology is an amazing thing!

With the Custom Shop you can buy a collection but not try one.
If you want to try something you have to go into components - for example click on Amp, then click on item in menu that pops up then drill down through pages of items that may or may not belong to the collection you're interested in.
I find the Custom Shop great for checking out T-Racks items but for anything else a frustrating massively time consuming mess.

When the Axe i/O arrives I'm going to evaluate it and the software it comes with.  If I don't feel that on its own that the package is worth the over $400 that it's costing me - I'm returning it.

I think you will love the Axe I/O. I am also excited on it being just my Audio Interface as my Roland Quad Capture is old, but still very functional. Also, I have the Helix so I am excited about using it with Helix Native. I think we will love our Axe I/O's, hang in there!

I must say i use the Amplitube Darrell CFH a lot more than I ever thought I would. I am not a real metal guy but man that is a fun package!

  9. OK guys . I am in. I ordered my Axe I/O from IK Multimedia, hoping it ships to me in next couple days. Looks like we have till Sat 31st Aug to register , so i hope i can get the counter up as soon as I get it and register it!

Ok...shipping cost is $28...just checked...so Sweetwater is better option.
If you have a coupon, it's cheaper at Musician's Friend, but they are out
    of stock right now...

Thanks Larry, you are the best!

They included Sonar Platinum & Professional in the crossgrade, even after all this time. I'm REALLY tempted to get Cubase 10 Pro.

The offer is valid until June 3rd. I'll give a serious thought on this.

Wow, I have Sonar Professional. I am amazed they have included that as a cross grade. Now this offer to get Cubase Pro is Very tempting.

I see that BestService do a good deal on the USB e=licenser. Does anyone know if Best Service can deliver to the states, which is where I am located?

Or any other places to get a good deal on the e-licenser?
