Each year I keep an Excel spreadsheet (a tab for each year within the Excel file) for the music gear I buy. I definitely have noticed a decline in what I buy over the years. I set myself a budget each year. It helps to curb any overspending. This year not spent very much.

I hate to bump this up. But this amp I have been demoing the Kerry King JCM and it is awesome. Used it a little with Helix Native to add pre and post effects. This plug in is great. You do need an iLok, but i know most of us have these. It is very good on CPU usage. I am gonna jump on this deal before it is over, thanks to Larry!!!

I see them at Earl's Court in the UK in 1994. I guess that was the tour that supported the live album Pulse. I wish I would have kept the program and tickets, they may be in my parents attic back in the UK. I hope I still have them somewhere. Was an amazing show. One of last one's I went to in UK before heading to USA.
Memories 🙂

Oh right, would I need Amplitude 5 SE or higher first of would the free CS be enough to get the Satriani pack working?
I would at least go with the Amp 5 SE. I just think you will always kick yourself for not getting the version above the CS. At least that's how it was for me. I just think you will like the whole cab experience without any limitations. Just my thoughts.

Wow, I was thinking about the ILOUD MICRO MONITORS just last week. I have heard they sound good with your modeler (Helix, Headrush etc). Any experiences with using these monitors for guitar modeler...?
My current monitors are Samson MediaOne 3A's. What do ya think I am sure the micro monitors would be a huge step up...?

Been holding off on Amplitube Brian May, finally got it as one of my freebies. OMG it is fun and good! Don't mean to derail from our topic but that is a goldie!

Don't pay the full $199 for Amplitube 5!!!
Buy 200 Gear Credits for $159.99, and then use them to buy Amplitube 5 in the Custom Shop using GC for the $199 level.
Buy Gear Credits here => https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/index.php?R=INIT&FV=all-credits-family-related-products&CV=Other Filter&PSEL=allcredits
To confirm, Once we purchase in the custom shop (using gear credits) then this gets us into the group buy at $199 level correct...

I should upgrade my Artist v2 to the v5 Artist. What are your thoughts on S1 Artist v5....?

Looks like you have to buy additional gear even if you have those signature packs from previous versions of AT. I think I'll stick with AT4 for awhile.'
Anyone have issue with AT5 in Cubase? It totally crash my system.
Yes I notice this. My signature pack presets I purchased back in Amplitube 3 or 4, "Slash" as an example are telling me I need to purchase other items. That is not right? How can that be.

It will appear it is a new deal every day, but hopefully you are right and all deals won't expire till 30th.

Rig libraries are a slippery slope. Depends on who captured the rigs, whether they include cabs in the chain, etc. I like the dynamics of some of the rigs better than the stock sounds, but find myself reverting back to the stock sounds more often than not. Rigs I do like: Fortin, Petrucci. The BE100 isn't bad either, but I'd rather see all of these added as stock amps in THU itself - even as an upgrade path. Just no more rigs. Can't trial them, quality is hit or miss, etc.
I agree, Piotr, that its not customer friendly AT ALL. I hope AT5 upgrade makes them rethink their strategy and to work in updates to main THU.
Thanks for detailed response. I own TH3 Full. My guess is I can upgrade that to TH-U Metal from TH3 Full for the current upgrade price of $9. I know it is a dumb question but want to check before i buy, i will also ask Overloud.
-
I have been holding off on upgrading my TH3. I now see that Overloud have the upgrade on sale. But to be honest I am more tempted to just but Metal and Rock at these great prices, then just add a couple rig libraries. I hate to bump this thread up but what are some of your favorite rig libraries?
