  1. unfortunately for me, I am using it as a weird use case. I am using it as a test tool and not to make music. Thanks for the information on 32-bit floating point. I didn't consider that! i tried audacity too. It seems to be a bit better than cakewalk for what I am trying to do, but it has issues too.
  2. I am having problems with Cakewalk changing audio samples incorrectly. I am not sure why or how to stop this. here is what I do: Import a file into a track (24-bit, 48kHz, mono) Export that track to a file format MS Wave as 24-bit, 48kHz, mono. Turn off all mixing options. Compare the tracks in a hex editor and they are different. Shouldn't the data be the same if I haven't modified it at all?
