  1. I imported MIDI from Dorico. The track is full of controllers I don't want. - I open Event List - I Select by Filter and uncheck everything *except* controllers. -Whether I use CUT or DELETE, nothing happens. All the events end up unselected, but are still there. It shouldn't be this hard. (I did this all the time in the older Sonar X1.) What is the solution? Thank you.
  2. So, the last thing I am struggling with is loading a project from my other computer (via thumb drive). The VSTs (Vienna) are installed on both machines, but when I load the project on my new machines, I get an error message saying Cakewalk can't find the plugins. Note: I can add these plugins in the Browser, so Cakewalk knows they exist.
  3. OK, I see Synth Rack down at the bottom now,and it can be pulled up and expanded. Thanks.
  4. Hey, @bitflipper! We've been talking Cakewalk since the old days. Glad you're here. So, I added a VSL player as shown in the first picture. In the old Sonar, there would be a blue rectangle in the Browser--like your picture--for the instrument and I could click on it to pick the patch; but now I can't find the instrument I just added. I'm sure I am missing something simple.
  5. I am moving from Sonar X1 to the current version of Cakewalk by Bandlab. I am not clear about the Browser. 1. In the new Cakewalk, I chose to add a virtual instrument in the Browser and selected Vienna Instruments Pro. In the old version of Cakewalk Sonar, that instrument would then appear in the browser and I could click on it to select a patch (or freeze it or unfreeze it). After adding the VST, however, I do not see it in the Browser. I have tried this several times. What am I missing? 2. I saved a Sonar X1 file from my studio computer onto a thumb drive. I plugged the thumb drive into my laptop with Cakewalk (Bandlab) installed and loaded the file into Cakewalk. That went fine except I don't see any of the VSTs. The VSTs exist on both machines, so I don't understand why I don't see them in the Browser when I load the file. (In this case, the VSTs were all Vienna Symphonic, but I expect I will have the same problem with all the VSTs that live on both machines.) I think I am missing something basic about how the Browser works in the new Cakewalk. Thanks, --Konrad
