Enjoyed the tune, flowed nicely with the changes & break section. Good use of harmonies, the way you teased some of those notes by just catching them before fully feeding back was tasty, tone too. Great job!

Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment and thanks for the kind words.  The parts I most enjoy are the harmony bits.

    Lovely track.
I,m always in awe of people who have control over their instruments.
    Fantastic tone on the guitar.

Thanks for taking the time to listen and commenting.  Believe me, control  over the instrument is a work in progress for me.  Thanks for the kind words.

Wow indeed!  The coolest thing about this song, for me, is the energy level.  You can’t help but get excited and up while listening to this song.  Great job!

  3. “Tank You Berry Much ...Did you get dat silly Wabbit w that SSSSShotgun your avatar is holding ?

For those that are wondering what I'm talking about  . amillers avatar was a cartoon parody of Elmer Keith ....

I read up on Elmer Keith a few years back .I found it interesting  some of the things he had done ...a lot of modern shooters owe a lot to him”

Actually, my avatar has to do with a run in I had with a family of raccoons that had invaded my attic.  I tried everything, including trapping and removing them but nothing worked.  When they started chewing holes in the attic floor to enter my kitchen...let’s  just say, sadly, it did not end well for one of the raccoons.

  4. Now, this is my favorite genre and this song is a winner!  I love the tone, playing, writing...everything. Great job!😊

  5. Very nice.  The song has an irony about it.  It sounds soothing while conveying a sad truth.  Well done!

*note: check your spelling.  "I've grown tires of listening to the lies,”  I think “tires” should be “tired.

Lovely tones flow easily here. Satrianish sound is indeed also present. Melodies are also great. I do not listen to this kind of music but maybe I better start listening

Hey, glad you liked it.  If you’re interested in this genre Andy Timmons is a real treat.  Check out “Resolution.”

It has the Santana vibe to the guitar, the support band not so much for me but it's your song and you are the one who should be happy, sweet guitar tone, nice one.  :)

I’m glad you liked the guitar.😊

  9. I have no knowledge about what defines ragtime so I can’t speak to what should or shouldn’t be part of a ragtime song.  What I do know is that I really like this tune, drums, horns and all.  It instantly made me think of the movie The Sting.  Fun tune...thanks for sharing.😊

  10. I could imagine sitting on that beach gazing at a sky full of stars ... peace.  Your song creates that image nicely.  Thanks for sharing.😊

Sweet guitar tone. Sustain like Satriani. Cool delay effect on it as well. Very well played maestro!  I think you might consider mixing those bongos a little lower when they come in, just a thought. To be completely honest, this tune didn't strike me as entirely that much latin. It's more straight ahead 2 and 4 without too much syncopated fluffery. Maybe its ballad quality hides the latin. But at the end of el dia, it's all about the guitarra, and holy crap this is really well done.

The horns are sturdy, the piano hits the spots. The drums seem a little quiet, maybe a couple of more flashy bits for them?  I dunno.

    Good stuff!

    cheers,

    -Tom

Thanks so much for the kind words...appreciated.  Yeah, I purposely brought the “bongos” out a little too much ‘cause I dig that sound...self-indulgent.  Yep, I really don’t know much about Latin music but this song makes me hear a Latin vibe from time to time.😊
