I hope they start giving more solid info SOON!
Why? Are you being prevented from working on your projects?

If you are that tight on space, maybe you should consider getting a larger ssd.

PS: I would like to take advantage of this answer to ask if anyone knows what "Update Local Help" is which is offered to me in the small blue window at the bottom right of Cakewalk? I'm hesitant to install it, for fear of having new problems.
It installs a compiled help file (chm), no big deal

With Cakewalk closed, rename aud.ini to aud.bak and let Cakewalk create a new one when you start it.

As the title indicates, I can record direct to Cakewalk and I can hear the cab (effect) upon playback, but cannot while playing and recording. I've tried more than one IR loader (which tells me I'm not clicking on a button or something); currently using the STL Ignite NAD IR. Loads the IRs no problem; you hear it on playback after recording. What am I missing? Thank you.
Input echo on?

After tireless testing with old projects and some new ones, I am very clear that this version is much slower in operations, opening, closing, saving.
Absolutely not seeing that here.

Loaded it and it loaded in about a second on an i5-8265U CPU @ 1.60GHz laptop with 8gb ram.

my kids (adults now) use it on their PC and then call me to complain about how much disk time, memory and CPU are being used since it's also trying to act as a sharing service etc. so definitely not good on a PC unless that's all you do on a PC 🙂
Never saw that behavior…

and as a note: do not install discord on your PC, it takes over your system and is very hard to get rid of without a wipe and re-install of the OS and your apps... the discord web version is fine, and is designed for a younger crowd anyways... 🙂
Discord desktop didn’t wreak any havoc on my computer and uninstalled very easily, perhaps you had/have a virus and wasn’t aware of it.

I clicked on the link and saw what looks like a web page made for little kids and I left.
But completely missed the four links for the beta interspersed on that page

In the photo below, in the blue circle on top, you can see that there is nothing to allow me to insert something like Toontrack SD3 or EZBass or any other MIDI instrument.
in the blue circle on bottom, I right clicked on it to see if I could insert it that way. No. I can't insert any MIDI instruments. If I reinstall, I would have to uninstall CbB, and wouldn't I lose all the plugins and have to install them all over again? How would that work? (Hope I don't have to.)
Sorry to be obvious but did you click on "Soft Synth"?

Is it a workspace thing? Did you try setting to none because it works perfectly here.

Everything works great here on Win 10

"Freezing" is like a temporary hold. If you want wave form & audio to remain you have to "Bounce to clips..." or record it in real time.
Freeze is a reversible bounce, temporary or permanent based on if you unfreeze it or not.

Bandlab doesn't owe me a thing. As for Gibson, I'll settle for a nice tobacco burst.
Gold top for me!

Parallel compression has become popular and has become a norm.
