I know but it was still showing as the default instrument. InCBB it is now removed and just says Midi only.
Set it as the default then.

One observation is TTS-1 hasn’t been removed in this version yet.
If you had it installed already, you'll retain it.
According to the latest CbB release notes:
"The TTS-1 synth is no longer installed by Cakewalk, by request from Roland. This product is no longer supported and has reached end of life. Older installed versions may continue to work but it is no longer a default for insert instrument." -

Again, you will be able to run Cakewalk after you delete or rename the file: aud.ini

If you want to change an audio track from stereo to mono, you can follow these steps:
Select the Track: Click on the track you want to modify. Ensure that the track is highlighted or selected.
Open the Inspector: Look for the "Inspector" tab on the left side of the screen. If it's not visible, you can open it by clicking the "View" menu at the top and selecting "Inspector."
Adjust Channel Configuration: In the Inspector, there should be an option for "Channel Configuration" or a similar term. Within this section, you can change the track from stereo to mono. There might be a dropdown menu or options for configuring the channels.
Set to Mono: Once you've located the Channel Configuration settings, select "Mono" or set the number of channels to 1, depending on the interface BandLab provides.
If you're having trouble finding these options or if BandLab's interface has been updated since my last training data in January 2022, I recommend checking BandLab's official documentation or community forums for the most up-to-date information. Feel free to ask if you have any more questions or need further assistance!
Good job resurrecting an almost 4 year old thread...

I think I'm going to give up and return this keyboard to Amazon. One of the LED lights doesn't work so you can't clearly see program numbers so that's another reason to return it.
I'm running out of time before my 2 month trip so I think I'll have to take a gamble and maybe order this one:
https://www.amazon.com/Keyboard-Weighted-Portable-Electronic-Beginners/dp/B09Y21PWDM?th=1
This looks encouraging:
Connector TypeBluetooth, MIDI USB
Hardware InterfaceBluetooth, USB, HDMI
and this:
🎶【Bluetooth & USB MIDI Function】 The 61 keys foldable keyboard has built in wireless connection, connect with piano games apps such as Garage Band, Perfect Piano and Pop Piano, or online music lessons, Make piano learning more fun. Also you can use the midi keyboard as a speaker. The music midi keyboard allows you to connect computer and other intelligent devices to edit music and create your own music.
Thanks for your help.
The rating being only a 4/5 after 81 ratings (my personal standard is a minimum of 4.3/10) scares me and so does this:

Yesterday I got a notice to update CbB, which I did. In the past, I would activate it through CbB Installer ("refresh activation"). Doesn't work. It keeps telling me I have to sign into my CbB account to activate it. But when I go to my account online, I don't see anything that tells me how to activate it. I open CbB after I've been to the website, and it still says I need to activate it. How do you activate CbB?
Thanks.

I am able to record midi to a midi track and play it back through the Cakewalk TTS fine form my Yamaha keyboard, but I used to be able to select the Yamaha Piano output and play it back to the keyboard. For some reason I can no longer get the sound on the keyboard when playing back. I have tried for hours and finally I need help. I have used this before many times as I can here the playback much better going back to the keyboard when tracking. Once I know I have what I want then I select the Cakewalk TTS for mixing.
Maybe I am not setting the insert soft synth correctly? IDK Any help is much appreciated.
Thank You
Do you have the proper midi in and out enabled in preferences?

I tried that, and introducing unwanted hiss.
Which preamp?
I used to have a SM7b along with a Cloudlifter and there was absolutely no hiss introduced. -

Plus, it could not handle the Shure sm7b very well.
Did you use a preamp with it?
There is a reason why the Cloudlifter is usually sold along with the SM7b and now Shure has the SM7db that has the Cloudlifter integrated into the mic. -

Did you set the track interleave to mono (before or after)? If you put it on a stereo track, then there's no problem!
Exactly what you said, created a new project, inserted a new audio track, set interleave to the track to mono and then inserted the mono flavor of the vst3.

Now I have tested with CbB 2023.09 and it is still a crash (but not in Sonar Platinum)!
Just tried your recipe and can't reproduce, no crash.
PSP InfiniStrip Mono (VST3) is v1.30
Cakewalk is the current (2024.02) Early Access release -

My PC has two USB-C ports. One is busy, and the other one is specified as "audio USB Type-C", and the PC came with a usb-c to jack cable.
Can I connect my (soon to be mine) audio interface to this one? What is a "usb-c to jack" cable?

Great! What did you do to install it into cakewalk?
The installer that I got from Neural DSP.

I use the Soldano Slo100 and Fortin Cali as vst3s with absolutely no issues.

i could 🙂 i was hoping for the 3D kind so i didn't have to buy that SSL 9000 in order to get 3D controls 😉
Maybe you can ask for an Oculus type user interface...

yes, if you're not using 3D vector graphics (ala gaming ...) then it can definitely be fast and lower on resources. for me, i design things with a lot of 3D vectors and materials so i'm always wary of apps using vector UI unless they're basically the flat kind...
Can't imagine the bakers using 3d vector graphics for Sonar...
