Thanks all. It's clear there's an issue with auto-update. I'm sure we'll have a fix before long.
I'll wait until this one appears before doing the manual download, as it's possible the latest version has the same problem!

this looks like a referenced js library file isn't there/didn't load
Looking at the file mentioned in stack trace, app.asar contains the javascript. There is an object called analytics, with a function called sendRequest, so this is probably the cause of the problem.

5.0.3 enables the 'Download Stems' feature, plus a few bug fixes. More on that feature here:
https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=NewFeatures.02.html
Self update fails with the following log entries:

Mine told me to manually install BandLab Assistant. I had to reboot and make sure BA was shutdown, grabbed the file that was manually downloaded from the previous attempt and ran that. It installed and I was able to move on with updating CbB.
Yes, I got the download message and link as well, but what's the point of offering a self update if it doesn't work? Might as well offer the link in the first place and not bother with the self update.

I'm talking about OP (a question post), not an answer post. You could revoke your vote, but hopefully the OP will select the best answer so other sorting options will kick in.

I've managed to log in fine on my home/studio PC with IE11 and simply can't get it to on my work machine. Same OS, service packs, bitness...
Using IE11 was possible at one point. Are you entering your username/password when using your home/studio PC? I suspect not because there's possibly a cookie which is remembering you've previously logged in. The test would be to explicitly log out, but then you might lose your IE login...

Not an answer but the script error is "'fetch' is undefined".
It appears fetch() is a javascript method which is not supported by IE:
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Fetch_API/Using_Fetch#Browser_compatibility
so unless the login script is amended to explicitly support IE, it's possible IE login will never be possible.

Will it work like it should, or do I need to download and install manually like the past number of times?
Self update worked for me this time.

UPDATE: BANDLAB ASSISTANT 5.0.4 download (but why?)

It looks like the problematic javascript has been changed (see the 5.0.3 thread), but we'll only know when the next update appears...!
