Stevie Shanks

Hi guys, I'm having a similar problem. I'm having real trouble as a relative beginner to midi etc. Tons of drumming experience. I have a Roland TD30 and have recently purchased the Steve Slate SSD5.5 plugin. I now have cakewalk to complete the picture from what I've read. I also have a midi (in & out) cable inserted into my TD30 and the USB into my laptop. This is where I'm stuck. I'm not overly interested in recording, rather I'd like to tap into the SSD5 sounds and trigger them with the Roland pads. I would really appreciate any help you guys could give. Many thanks Stevie
