  1. Epic Sound and production ! You make it look so easy.. Hats off to all of you .. Thanks mark
  2. Very Nice production .. I really liked the tone of the tambourine you used , and the laid back vocals. One thing that really grabbed me (in a good way) was the acoustic finger squeaks. "Train" once did a nice laid back song with Boosted string squeeks . They Really made the song work. Enjoyed it , hope to hear more soon .. mark

Fantastic Mix on this ! I Loved the repeating vocal stabs and her great voice. FX on the guitars was Real nice. No crits or suggestions. Enjoyed it .. mark The second link you shared gave me about a 3 second error , and then it loaded properly . ??
  4. Look at the output on your Master track. Where is it sending the signal ? Zoom ? Motu ? Nowhere ?
  5. FWIW, "Yes" you can still run Cakewalk by Bandlab on your Win 7 machine. It's the new Sonar , that's not yet released that will Not work on Win 7.
  6. Thanks Mark for posting this. It For Sure should have been mentioned before now .. I may have missed it , but I don't think so .. ms
  7. I'm running the 2023 last update on Win 7 with No problems , although I had a few problems getting it installed . It's a punch in the gut though , reading that the new Sonar version won't install on my PC. I guess it's time for another SSD and an OS upgrade. #*%$$! ..
  8. I think this "may" help. He's ducking the reverb on a Vox track . I think it would be the same on any signal as long as it's not a constant one . ms
  9. I edited the OP to include it was the "Mercury" Light green theme no longer compatable. I'm sure there were more changes "under the hood" that were in this update that were not reported in the documentation . They were probably just not relevent to the average user. Such as .. first time getting a notice about Win 7 no longer being supported. I can make some color changes in prefrences and get close to what is comfortable for me. I might as well get acclimated to it now before the Sonar release. I probably should have posted this in the 2023 update remarks section but , it seemed after reading All of it , it wasn't the proper place to get a direct answer. Thanks .. mark
  10. Don't know how I missed seeing this one ! Great job Gary , I've missed hearing your thick silky vocals. Very nice mix on this one as well. Enjoyed it .. mark
  11. @John Vere Thanks. I'll try changing it back and see If I run into anything. I Love this theme. I navigated to the "core" folder and Scooks theme was the only one in it. ?? I was probably a couple of updates behind (doing offline authorization) but this was the first time I've had problems. I also could not install the update from within CbB , and had to go to Bandlab assistant to get it installed. I kept getting a connection error. I downloaded it from the Bandlab Assistant without a problem . This is even though the documentation says it no longer works. I now see why so many "newcomers" have problems installing and authorising. It's worth the effort when you get it done , but it should be easier. As usual , it's probably something I've done , or problems on my system . Thanks .. mark
  12. Hello , I've read through all the changes in the 2023 update , and I have'nt seen anything related to custom themes. After installing , I'm now getting an uncompatable theme warning. It said continuing to use it may cause proplems in Cakewalk. It did give me the option to try and continue using it. I have read the changes in themes (or editor) would take place in the new Sonar release instead of this 2023 maint. update. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this , and if I am now needing stop using the "Scook Mercury light green" theme I've been using since it came out. Thanks .. Scook mark
  13. Are you still logged in after reinstalling win7. Can you log in to bandlab assistant from your browser outside of Cakewalk ? If you can , click "apps" in bandlab assistant and see if your Cakewalk by Bandlab is up to date. You should be able to see your present version "inside" of Cakewalk by clicking help/about Cakewalk. You should see the 2023 version there. I installed it yesterday and had to go back and forth a couple of times before I got it updated and authorised. After logging out of Bandlab assistant from my browser , and then logging back into Bandlab "inside" of Cakewalk it authorised coorectly. Not a firewall problem for me .. ms
  14. Very interesting and Creative song. I don't think I've heard one like it. This could almost be in the experimental genre. I like the way you returned to the intro before ending it. Don't think it needs a cowbell in the bridge , maybe a fairly strong 4/4 ride. Enjoyed it .. mark
  15. Larry , Nice relaxed and smooth. I do think the bass track distracted from the mood. Was it doubled with harmony ? I think if you could get it EQ'd and sitting more in the pocket , it would make a Big difference in the overall sound. That being said .. I Really did enjoy it mark
  16. Great performance Nick ! This one glued together nicely. Very effective build up and release. I honestly cant see how you keep up with all of the synths at the same time. Very impressive! I would imagine you've also got cable management down to a fine art. Enjoyed it .. mark
  17. Try "pulse" in the Pro Channel "one knob" effects. It's pretty effective , but without a control for the volume of the effect. The workaround for that is to slide it under a duplicate of the track without the effect. There is also a tremolo unit in the TH3 guitar amp sim with full control. Sometimes just a portion of a clip with the "pulse" is cool. mark
  18. Jimbo , Too much for me to just to learn the audio side. I envy you and everyone elses video skills .. mark
  19. I agree with Treesha ^^ Cool. Awesome video and just the right length for a "pull you in" trailer. I liked the way her lips moved with the vibrato. Now you are up to 2. Enjoyed it .. mark
  20. Steve , this is an Amazing production. Great work on the keys . I am hearing a slight click or pop I think produced by the bass at 2:41 , 2:43 and a minor one just before that. Bear in mind this was an earbud listen on a laptop. Thanks for posting the history of the conflict. I've always been confused about it and after reading the first half , it's not a lot clearer. I'll read it to the end a couple of times and see if it becomes clearer. There is a Lot to take in to see the Big picture. I Very much enjoyed the production. mark

    Memories

Beautiful and Well presented song .. Your talent for hitting this smooth gene , is always Amazing and somewhat confusing for me. I guess it's a lot of different little things you do , including the big changes in sections that somehow keep the same vibe going. Nice fade out as well . I Really Like this one . Always a pleasure .. mark
  22. Great collaboration ! There sure is a Lot of cool stuff in this one. I Really liked the funk guitar sections and the mix sounded nice , even without my decent headphones on this laptop. Excelllant job. mark
  23. Yes ^^ Send your metronome to an aux track instead of the metronome bus. Arm the aux track and record it. . It then can be manipulated like any other track with EQ , FX automation etc .. There's a few times that I've used sounds like the tamborine that really need to be nudged a little earlier to sound correct.
