For a guitar player, I am having a ton of fun running through some of the presets! Seems like I'll run out of time before I run out of presets to try! 😋

I was running through some of the pads and they are so rich and full, very nice!

If anyone has a few minutes please try the preset 'Abundant Vineyards Pad'. On my setup there is a lot of crackle on chords. I don't know if it is intended, my setup, or a bug. In any case, no big deal with the number of great pad presets available! 👍

A lot of the presets seem to be set too loud/hot.  Use the overall volume control on the top right of the interface to turn it down and see if that tames the crackle you're hearing.

I'm also a guitarist and same here... having a blast running through presets, but way too many to actually get any sense of which ones I like more than others.  I do favorite ones that strike me in a particularly good way when I find them.

Fyi, the group buy is on it's last day, and is currently about to hit 4,000 participants, standing at 3,952!!!

    I'd say it was a success!!! :)

This last burst was pretty wild. Less than a week ago I was doubting it would even hit the 3k mark!

  3. The semantics of this whole thing mean nothing to me.  I just got everything that's in Syntronik 2 Max for $35.  I'm thrilled.  And it sounds frikkin' awesome.  More fun and inspiring that I imagined it could be.

This thread was super positive until the group buy crossed the 3k threshold (and it's really blow past it, amazing).  Now this whole "Maxgate" thing has erupted.  I just don't see the scandal.

Is Syntronik 2 working? Do you have all 33 Instruments and all the Generation 1 (SYN) and Generation 2 (SYN2) presets installed and working?  If so, based on what I have seen CS [a super lite version] will not add anything you don't already have.

The CS version of Syntronik 2 has a very small number of presets with a minuscule number of wave sets.

Thanks.  Yes, everything appears to be in place and working as it should be, so I'll continue to not bother with CS.

After we have downloaded the synths do we have to download the Sounds Updater files? It's a slow process for me so far at 1.1Mb / s!

I didn't.  And everything seems to be working fine, but interesting question.

The last hours have been a bit slower than I expected. Still 26 left. 1-2 more hours.

This final trickle is definitely crawling compared to the blast we had in the last 24-48 hours.

So, no need to buy in twice, right? 🤣

It's looking like no, right now at least.  Things could change.  But there's a really nice pace going.  Should have another freebie in place by tomorrow morning (or even later tonight), then only 2 more to go!

I was thinking those lovely synths in Arturia V Collection 9 would cure my gas. They are lovely indeed, but I know they won’t keep me on the GB fence.

I was considering these, but I needed to complete my PA system.  It was either put the money into the PA or drop it on Arturia Collection.  I chose the PA system.  This Group Buy made the decision easier as I'm REALLY enjoying the sounds I'm getting out of Syntronik.  Syntronik is also much easier to read on screen for me.  Larger text and controls that make a huge difference for my old eyes.

Yeah, I keep telling myself: I am a guitar player, I barely can make chords on a keyboard even less any semi fancy stuff, why would I need this?

But the reality is: I shall be lured by a GB! 😏

Also a guitar player, but I'm taking this opportunity to learn keys a lot better.  It helps that Syntronik has so many killer inspiring sounds.  Makes me want to play more.  Guitars are getting jealous.

29 free reached and 93 left to 30. I think those who've been waiting for all 33 can participate now. At this rate it'll be easy to reach 3000.

At this point we need less than 75 per day to reach the 3k.  Last two days have been well over 100 a day.  ***hopeful***

    new freebie up!

Indeed.  I'm down to the final Five!  Having a hard time deciding which to pick, in the event that we don't make it to 3k!

    SAM

    String Box

    VCF3

    Modulum

    T-03

  12. The last 24 hours (2:30PM to 2:30PM EST) brought 116 new buy-ins.

We need about 84 per day for every remaining day to hit 3000.  Not sure if that's comforting data or not.  It's good that the current pace is above the needed pace, but it needs to sustain to hit the mark.  Hopefully for a good chunk of last minute "oh why not?" buy-ins the last few days.

    Nope, 96 remaining! 😁

This GB is picking up steam! 👍

Let’s hope so. Going to sleep. Hoping to see it at 50 by morning! Wishful thinking probably! Lol.

I would wait (1) to see if it will make it and (2) to see if there might be another extension.

Oh absolutely.  This would be a total 11th hour scenario.

Just my opinion, if anyone has Syntronik 2 CS, SE, or Full, but hasn't gotten into the SYN2GB yet, and wants the Multis, they should help make sure it reaches the top tier.

Again, if you like Syntronik 2 and you want to use the new Multis, but you haven't bought into the SYN2GB yet, you might be very pleased at what you can get for $50 or $35 + $15 in Jam Points, even with the installation issues, the filter bugs, the amount of GBs, etc.

Agreed.  I'm thinking the same for anyone that has bought into the Group Buy already.  I'm very seriously thinking about buying in again least of all to gain the rest of the synths, but mostly to hopefully be part of a final push that takes it to 3k for the Multis.

  16. Pace has definitely picked up, not by a lot, but noticeable.  It's now on a 50 per day-ish rate up from around 33-ish per day.  Still a rough road to 3000 though.   These Group Buys are fascinating to watch/predict/analyze.  I just want the dang Multis!

  17. Anyone know of these, which are the standouts?  Deciding final moves as this thing slows down.

    Galaxy- Alesis Andromeda
    M-Poly- Korg® Mono/Poly and Polysix
    99- Yamaha SY99
    SAM- Oberheim SEM
    Blau- PPG Wave 2.3
    V-80- Yamaha CS-80, GX-1 and CS-01

Hey, we are beating KVR in number of GB thread pages.... again! 😄

Nice. That thread on KVR is super negative and infused with too much drama for my tastes. Much more level headed crowd over here. I actually registered on here just to participate in this thread!

At this point I don’t see it going all the way by the current deadline. There’s really no motivating factor now. It’s ALREADY an amazing deal. Can’t imagine there are many holdouts at this point. It’s all a matter of getting the info to people that weren’t aware of the deal in the first place.

  19. Down to 2.  Just pass that next marker already.  We'll be at 1+25 to start the week.  Then I'm curious to see how far we get by Friday.

Because of this group buy, IK has been on my radar a bit more than usual, and I realized that I never picked up Philharmonik 2.  I bought v1 AGES ago, and that software aged out to the point where you can't even install it.  But with Jampoints I got the crossgrade to v2 for $69.  I don't use orchestra sounds that much, but I always enjoyed having those sounds around when I need them.  Listening back to old recordings I added string parts to my songs more often than i remember doing.

Wonder how much extra biz they drum up like this during a Group Buy?
