I love the interesting journey on trying to get the guitar sound right, it's just the kind of thing I do too!!
Nice track, it maybe could be made into a song?

Hi Pete
I loved this - and your vocalist is superb - absolutely loved her voice
This reminds me of something like a track from Trees - a UK folk rock band from the 1970's
Really cool
NIgel
Thanks very much Nigel, I will have a listen to some Trees songs for some more inspiration!

This song almost sounds like Appalachian bluegrass meets Irish traditional. I really like it🍺
BTW I left my comments on your YOUTUBE channel.
Thank you so much, I think this is my favourite style of music. I will work on some more!

Yes folk but actually classified as Celtic. Big fan of this and the production is as well done as anything else out there! Huge thumbs up! 👍🏻

Love it ... went on YT .... and searched for the words but couldn't find them ... and as a words guy I love to follow those with the song 😗. I think 3/4 songs lend themselves to folk .. as most of them do, but this is a real beauty, everything is spot on and no need to tell you how excellent the vocal is ... many thanks for your post and all the best for your future work, thoroughly enjoyed it 👍 🤛
Steve ( SRM )
Thanks very much Steve, I put the lyrics in the description on YT, is that what you meant?

I would love to have a female vocalist to work with like this ... she is priceless .. and the mix does her proud, plus the message ( lyrics ) are excellent.
Thanks for the post .... and lets have more of your work !
But PLEASE post the lyrics 🤝

Just excellent. The arrangement and orchestration and especially the vocal paint a somber picture. Love the cello which has that naturally sad sound to it.
A+

Really pretty song and arrangement. Her voice is beautiful and you did a great job recording it. I guess my only crit is the bass sounds kind of vague on my headphones, I'll take a listen tomorrow on my better system. Great job!
Thanks, I often seem to struggle to get the bass to cut through

This is brilliant (reminds me of one of my favourite modern folk bands - Show of Hands). Beautiful voice and near perfect arrangement (I'd fatten up the solo part at after 3 minutes but that's it).
Thank you so much!

Hauntingly beautiful. This is a Very Nice production !
As a cello player , and after hearing this , I just learned the impact of slightly "swelling" the notes and subduing some of the highs normally present in my tracks. I thought I got done mixing a new song using a cello this morning. Now I'm going back in ..
Enjoyed it .. mark
Thanks Mark!

I was nervous about doing this cover due to the subject but I saw many comments on the original saying that it had helped them when they were low.
