I remember my friends telling me that Reason didn't have any way to load VST and other plugins... Curious if they ever added plugin feature?

The irony being that you can even load Reason as a VST inside another DAW.
Well the Reason Rack bit I think is the term.

  2. Anyone here using Harmonic Bloom?

It's also on sale at Best Service where you can get two freebies with it.
To get two, you buy a €100 voucher which gives you the first one, then buy Bloom with the voucher plus the extra cost above €100, which gives you the second one.

  3. Use coupon code ROCK10 for 10% off the $99 bundle price.
Be warned that these are large libraries and together are 127GB.

As they have a few other bundles, I will use the link for all of them:
    https://www.native-instruments.com/en/pricing/cinematic-bundles/

All bundles are the same price and the others are:

    Spotlight Collection
    Arkhis + Sequis bundle

Arkhis & Lores are only in the CE version of Komplete.
Fables is too new for Komplete 14.
Sequis and Spotlight Collection are in K14 Ultimate and above.

I don't see the SSD option coming back either. Considering Komplete itself is more than 1TB in size, the price of a 2TB SSD would be more than half of price of Komplete itselt. Better to force you to use all your data plan downloading 1+ TB of data and profit more instead.

All versions came on HDDs except for Select which came on a USB thumb drive due to how little content it had.

I tend to dislike NI's distribution of their own libraries.  When you buy from other developers you can archive your downloads  if need to reinstall them.  If it's a Komplete library you need to back them up on another drive.  There is no option to keep your downloads.  This can be issue if you had a drive go bad and have to download all of the libraries in Komplete.  You can get a warning from your ISP of using up your data limit.

I have archived their Native Access installer files in the past but don’t know if things have changed since.

NA used to download an ISO file for each installation and these can be mounted and then the installer launched.

The trick is to copy them to a different folder before they are deleted. I found an App that would monitor a specified location and automatically copy new files that appeared there to a different location. It worked perfectly and to set the whole thing up only took a few minutes.

Cheers. Do you know if that newsletter voucher is time limited?

I think I used mine 9 to 12 months after receiving it and paid about $75 for Bioscape.

  7. I'm intrigued by the Sound Paint platform but haven't used it or kept up with its development.
How much has it evolved in terms of Keyswitches and multiple microphone positions etc?

As someone with a large 8Dio hoard, crossgrading to SP versions where you get to mix and match parts from different libraries within a patch is such a flexible approach.
Although, Kontakt has become almost a safety blanket, so I prioritise that.

Technically I bought some with aftermarket F29 vouchers. As Of today I own it all. I also bought the $300 MEGA XXL for $200 (with an Avid Inner Circle $100 discount) and so next year I'll be able to pick out 10 of the 2024 releases with my year paid in advance voucher.

I have a spare code for that hundred bucks off, so if someone wants it, drop me a PM.

I can upgrade to Absolute 6 from Groove Agent. The reality is Halion 7 and Backbone is the only thing that interest me. Still thinking about it. Th reality is, I have Pigments that I neveruse enough of. And Also Padshop2 that I rarely touch. So not sure if H7 is worth investment at this point.

Seeing as you can buy a Steinberg interface bundled with Groove Agent and Cubase Elements for £100, add this Crossgrade and that's a lot of kit at £250 for someone starting out.
