  1. Thanks yet again Larry, a last deal of the year from you that I purchased.
I had looked at the Loop Loft bundles in the past but they were always more than I was prepared to spend on these sort of samples.
But the Yurt Artist Series Bundle at under $80 was finally in my zone. Probably not quite as interesting as the Loop Loft equivalent, but hard to really quantity that, but the price difference was significant.
A lot of similar artists including Charlie Hunter, who is one of the major attractions for me.

  2. I recall that their terms used to say that you couldn't transfer licences that you got as part of a two for one deal. So you could only transfer the one you paid for and not the one you chose for free.

This is a different situation of course and keep in mind that they charge a fee.

  3. Jeez, talking about kicking a man when he's down. I might have to put myself into a chemically induced coma to resist the temptation. The problem is that I only have Guinness Zero in the house and the only way that is going to put me under is if I drop a crate of it on my head. :)

There's so many items on NIs site now that it's probably impossible to tell what will / will not be included in K15. They are not only reseller for a bunch of companies, but some of these companies also have Komplete partnerships.

However - 99% sure these NI produced products will be in K15 bundles (that aren't in K14):

    Valves Pro
    Fables
    Vocal Colors
    Guitar Rig Pro 7
    Spotlight Collection: Ireland
    Session Percussion
    Session Ukelele
    Desolate Guitars
    Low End Strings
    Rudiments
    Rolling Tides
    Bazzazian Tapes

These are all NI productions which usually get auto-added to the next Komplete series. Everything else would be up in the air, although I'm assuming more iZotope & Plugin Alliance stuff will be added in the next update.

FYI - Cremona Quartet is already in K14 Collector's Edition - but each instrument is listed separately instead of labeled as "Cremona Quartet". So you have Stradivari Cello, Stradivari Violin, Amati Viola, Guarneri Violin. I wouldn't be surprised if these are moved into lower Komplete tier on the next update.

Desolate Guitars is a third party product and not a collaboration so won't be in komplete.

Third party products very prominently show the vendor name at the top of the product page, whereas collaborations just mention the names towards the bottom of the page.

Anybody know of €14.50 expansion NOT included in Komplete 14 standard? I am adding an expansion to the upgr price for Komplete 14 standard to bump the price over €100 to make use of the €50 coupon

All of the MASSIVE (X) Expansions are in Standard, so you might need a Maschine one if you want something different!

And if you are planning to get the UVI Bundle and you don't own Kontakt 7... you can end up getting Kontakt 7 for $50 (with the UVI Bundle)

OK.. I'm done hijacking this thread. 🙂

Not hijacking but great info as I also got a better deal for the UVI Bundle.

  7. If you buy an Izotope license via NI, do they give you a serial number that you need to register with Izotope?

Or do they automatically register it to your izotope account which has the same email address? I haven’t kept up with if they are merging accounts at all!

  8. Got to hear him with the Police when they were still playing small venues just after they broke through.
Great band live and all good musicians.

Summers was on the scenes in late 66 when Hendrix arrived in September. I think he was one of the first to hear him play and before the Experience was even formed.

I also recall seeing him on the credits of a record that a friend's father owned: Neil Sedaka Live at the Royal Festival Hall.
That didn't help his punk credentials. 😁

Look forward to the interview as he has had some career.

Is $99 USD the lowest price you've (or anyone else reading this) has seen it for?

AAS licences tend to be sold cheaply used and the upgrades even from version 1 are very cheap. So if you don't mind using KVR etc, you should be able to get many of the latest versions for fifty to sixty in total or less.
This including the upgrade and possibly even some sound packs thrown in. Plugin Boutique are one good source for the upgrades.

I enjoy their gear and I am not sure why they seem to be treated a bit as a bargain basement company. Maybe it's partly to do with all the cheap Session versions that are bundled with hardware and flood the low end of the market. For whatever reason, it opens up opportunities for some true bargains for those with patience who like digging around in Knobcloud etc.
