  1. I love how Waves have now gone to the sale-on-the-sale-price approach to marketing. Bless.
  2. Although you can only use machine activation on the freebies; paid products require either iLok dongle or cloud (which is fine for me, just wasn't sure if you knew and thought you might be irked if you only found out after buying something).
  3. I think this sounds really good; I don't play in Spitfire's pool but I'm tempted by this.
  4. It's a great deal! I remember paying about $500 for a tribute ASAT back in '03-'04!
  5. This has been around long enough that I imagine most people have it, but anyone who doesn't should buy it! Lovely sounding reverb. Am curious how low it goes at PA.
  6. For me, yes. I have EZD2 and SD2. I hardly ever use SD2. Take it with a grain of salt, and all - I'm in this to have fun, and EZD2 is really fun. I know that in terms of sound and flexibility, SD is a level above, but I don't actually have the skills to make the most of it. If I had more time to play with DAW stuff, maybe I'd be more inclined to use SD more than I do.
  7. Any thoughts on Crispy Tuner? Does pitch correction sound natural with it?
  8. I'd be looking instead at the Kuassa Matchlock which is on sale at Best Service for about $25 IIRC. It's *really* good.
  9. You know you want to...
  10. FWIW Ed, the C3 is really lovely - the Intimate patch is a thing of beauty. And these aren't *that* HD intensive!!
  11. Have you tried the scoring piano, PC? I in no way need another, but I don't have a Steinway B, and if the playability is really good, I could be tempted. But then I'm also tempted by the brushes...curse these finite funds!
  12. It's not. They're permanently out of business.
  13. They ceased trading last month/the one before. Lengthy VI:Control thead on it with confirmation.
  14. Goldplate at $59 is a steal - it sounds beautiful!
  15. That's a bummer - $79 for the TubeTech sounded too good to be true!
  16. Just FYI, I think those prices are switched around 🙂
  17. About time this wasn't UAD exclusive! I don't have a use for it, but I *really* want it!
  18. In my view, absolutely! This is something I threw together in literally half an hour the night I bought the libraries just so I had something in the DAW that I could use to try out the smart delay. There are no keyswitches or anything here; the horns are just played in through my controller and the software does its thing. Sorry, volume is way too low, probably, but hopefully enough to give some sense of what the library can do with literally minimal effort or programming! FWIW, I don't find either library especially taxing on my system, but I haven't put them in any large projects. I honestly can't say enough about how much I love these libraries.
  19. Ooooh!!! Their trumpet and sax libraries are *amazing*! My jaw actually dropped when I played things back with the smart delay.
  20. I use the video editor regularly to put together video lectures for my job, and I like Movavi very much. It's pretty basic, I imagine, if you're used to doing serious video production. But for my purposes it's perfect - straightforward workflow, easy trimming of clips/fading/adding textboxes etc. It also exports video *really* fast, especially compared to the Magix stuff that I've used in the past (and picked up new versions of from Humble Bundle thinking it might have improved).
  21. Tut tut, Yan, you unbeliever! [says someone who's never bought a Spitfire product]
  22. Must. Resist! I really want the acoustic pack though!
