Didn't see a word on MIDI mentioned anywhere regarding the new Studio One 5. I'm too producing in MIDI so I'm focused on Cubase only as a second DAW. SO is a nice looking and easy to use DAW but for people like us Cakewalk or Cubase are the best route.

They are essentially adding expression mapping in a way.

I just got the bundle - and I bought it for the Groove3 pass.  If you got an upgrade code, I would try it.  Potentially, you still have to pay for the upgrade to 5, but you never know.  I don't know if Presonus has grace periods.

I'll give it a go later on. I know a lot of people will be pissed if there is no grace period since they just had a sale.

Can't hurt to try.  I'm guessing you paid full price on it rather than the cheap discount version I got.

The whole bundle came with the regular boxed products, code to 4.5 and a midi keyboard controller for $127

That bundle license keeps you at Studio One 2.  I upgraded (paid) to 4.5 from that license, so I know.

The bundle came with an upgrade code to 4.5 so it would be like I bought the upgrade to 4.5 which should be part of a grace period.

    Great deal! Thank you!
I just upgraded from Win10 Home to Pro quickly and smoothly.

So I think I understand how this works but just want to run it by more knowledgeable people:
I'll probably buy or build a new computer sometime next year and from what I've read I can transfer this license to the new computer since the license is a retail version and not OEM. But you'd have to remove the license from the old computer first and there's some process for doing that. Does that sound right?

They changed the licensing to make it account based a few years ago now. All you really have to do is sign in with your Microsoft account once you build the new computer and it will move the license over to the new computer and register it.

Would this be accessible in case we order from outside the US? I mean, would the 1-year pass be a code or would it be included inside the box as well?

They send you a box with a booklet with a code in it. You enter the code on their website and you'll get all the codes pop up for the products. There you'd find the Groove3 code. I tend to buy these bundles when they come up as well specifically for the groove3 codes, too. :)

Previous to my 'Rant" I had over a dozen loyalty offers...I agree they are useless, but they were there...
Now they're gone.  Maybe it's this way for everyone...but IDK

All mine are missing as well. I'm guessing they are updating them or something.

  8. Good to know. I know when I went to pick up freebies last year, I was going to get one I already had (so I could sell the other one off my account) and it wouldn't let me so I assumed it wouldn't allow for more than one of the same product on a single account.

Audiodeluxe has the same for 129.99, because of the Spring Coupon Code...SPRING2020, auto applied in the cart area. I'm weakening now....

Ugh, I feel the same way. I really want to wait for the discount email but I don't know that we'll see it for quite some time.

  10. AKA "Our products are not good and no one is buying them so we're going to get rid of them to "make room" on our site for even more lazily designed products no one will want to buy."

  11. It's a perpetual sale. It's been this price since it was released. Seems to be their business model now since Hexeract is the same thing. Been on 50% "sale" for like 2 years now. lol
