Great job - the video looks ultra clean and pro.  That bass looks killer, especially from the tail end.  Everything sounds great as well.

    Thank you so much Steve!

I had to go back and rewatch your Welcome To The Jungle and Dr. Feelgood covers. Rocking!

Hope you're not one of the 300,000 called up.

Haha thank you so much man, much appreciated! My friends from the Dr Feelgood cover are indeed russians, and they are all fine, thank God.  As for me I am not russian and not ukrainian either. All is well.

  4. Hello everyone.
Me and Anderson the drummer decided this time to do a cover of a song that is not very popular, but one of our favorites.

This is the song ''Medusa'' originally by the british band Trapeze.  Starts calm and then blasts one of my favorite guitar riffs of all time. Hope you enjoy and

any constructive thoughts about the mix are welcome.

  5. I like the song and vocals. About the song awesome!

As for the mix, some instruments sound too hard left and hard right, and (maybe) for this reason they kinda sound harsh when listening with headphones.

Not the style I have experience though, as I usually mix hard rock and metal, but I also DO set instruments (guitars) hard left and hard right,

however if I hear anything that is piercing, I will just adjust  it to be something like 90 or 80%  right (or left) instead of 100% and that solves the problem

and if not, then some EQ.

In this mix though I'm not sure it's really because of the hard left/right thing, or some piercing frequency or just a matter of adjusting volume.

The more experienced maybe could tell better.

  6. Reposted this, some compressed vocal harshness were driving me crazy.
How do you guys deal with vocals that need a lot of compression such as rock vocals? I think Fs and Ds and Ts a bit harsh on this mix.
    People talk a lot of de-essing, but what about T, F, D, K sounds?
Improved some of this but not as good as I'd like it to be.

Great hard driving drum mix. I Really liked the lead swapping and the complementing tonal differences of the guitars. You have a Fantastic vocal range. I didn't notice any breathing sound problems at all. I never read the comments before or during a song that might influence my opinion. There are small mistakes on my own music that drive me Crazy without anyone else mentioning them.      Enjoyed it ..  mark

Thank you so much for your words Mark, and thank you for watching!!  🙂
Yes the guitars they have their own sound indeed. They were recorded in same way and with same amp and distortion, but the Ibanez has Dimarzio pickups and the Epiphone has EMGs.

  8. Thanks to all of you guys who commented! I'm glad you like it!

I see myself some imperfections in this mix, there are some harsh ''f'' and ''T'' sounds, probably too much compression, wish they were smoother, and I wish I had turned down a bit some breathing sounds in between the words in the chorus haha , but I noticed only after I had already posted.

  9. This forum impresses me with the talent of many people here!
There is still awesome musicianship and creativity today! They're just not in the mainstream as it used to be in 70s and 80s... sadly.
    Great stuff Hidden Symmetry!

Even tho not a genre I usually listen to I did enjoy this one. The vocalist doesn't hold anything back that's for sure!   Impressive performance.
