That's why... when you buy a Focusrite Scarlet, it comes with a USB-C to USB-2 type A cable

    True.

Nevertheless, nobody likes hubs. Specially when going mobile (they are a FORCED necessary evil by the industry).

Thank god the MBP comes with more ports, just like back in the old days.

Anyway, I won't waste my time writing Neve I won't buy their interface. 😂

  2. I said don't get me started! 🤗

Also I said this isn't about performance 🤗

Scarletts and Claretts have usb c type connection. Audient too.

    Those guys want to sell!

    Neve and RME don't.

Apple wants to sell and has a giant share of the market.

Guess what? They use type C connections.

Even materials wise a usb C type connection uses less material to be manufactured  because it's smaller.

Honest to god I hate that I had to spell that out 🤬 .... 🤗

Also, I hate that I have to use an adapter and buy a PRINTER cable to connect my ADI-2 to my Apple M1 Silicon Mac.

    Enough is enough 🤣

  3. This has been the best interface I ever had.
Sold it at the time coz I was in another  planet.

But if I were looking for an interface, this one takes the cake. (Better than UA even by 2 miles).

  4. Ok, on the first part I stand by my point (Fractal and AS sounding very similar, prob Fractal better, IK not good).

But then on the 2nd part the Fractal with the Resistive cabinet sounds way better, and better than the IK.

The IK doesn't sound bad on the 2nd part of the video, but omg does it sound lifeless (on the 2nd part of the video, the IK sounds different from the first part of the video, and doesn't sound like piss).

Now it seems we don't agree, I guess we are all guitar players? 😆

(Not exactly thread related but I wanted to add: when I watch movies, sound is amazing, you can tell they focused on quality sound 200% vs 99% of all Youtube+youtubers, that's why I can't really watch that much Youtube even though I wanted to. Although with my setup, I reiterate: Harshness is gone 99%).

  5. Sorry King, but IK sounds like piss.

Listening through an ADI 2 DAC, through 2 WA73 preamps into a Yamaha RECEIVER, using its headphone output.

The preamps give the signal something that makes it sound 1000x better and removes 99% of its harshness (ADI 2's headphone output is just trash).

Anyway, the Audio Assault sounds very much like the Fractal, wow.

  6. Idk, kneeling down seems to be perceived as humiliating by some... I don't feel that way, sooo...

I kneel down to ya, thanking you for all these posts (specially the free ones).

I still remember you talking about you waiting on a certain day so you could get out of abject poverty, oh man, I was counting the days for you too (silently) 😝

If you REALLY want to show your gratitude...find a good charity and donate.
I have finally made it out of abject poverty into mediocre poverty, and am VERY
grateful, so find a GOOD NON-PROFIT and donate to it, or to a poor family you
may know!  THAT would be the ULTIMATE way to show your gratitude!
And if you know of a REALLY GOOD CHARITY (NOT a Political one), then
post it here for others to donate!  It's time to help those less fortunate than
ourselves!  Charity (love) covers a multitude of sins!

    You're the man Larry 😍

List of plugin companies that support offline activation - Effects Forum - KVR Audio

In addition to their list of plugin providers with real offline activation:

    • Acon Digital
    • Audio Assault
    • Black Rooster
    • Boz Digital
    • Dymai Sound
    • eaReckon
    • GForce
    • JoeySturgis
    • Kuassa
    • MeldaProduction
    • Rayzoon
    • Soundevice Digital
    • SoundSpot
    • TBProAudio
    • ToneEmpire

You see there are some! It's a pity that PSP turned iLok, because before the would also have been on this list (some older plugins of them are still).

Too bad the OP is banned. Lol. I see lots of banned users there. What's going on over there? Lol

This is exactly the reason why I dislike more and more all authorizations bound to the local system! Today it is a very negative point to me, if a software uses something like this. I prefer plugins/software with real offline authorization, like an offline key, a file, a registry entry. This has also the advantage that the software is still installable if a provider should say goodbye! 😉

I go everyday thinking about this.

Right now Reaper, Fabfilter, Ana 2 (Sonic Academy), work great but I need more variety, lol.

I have lots of ilok licenses but I fear one day I won't be able to use them.

  10. Omg, this looks so pretty! 🥰

Why some devs let go their creations fade away through time when it clearly seems to hold up so much value still?

If I was a dev, I would keep my plugins up to date to the last chip and OS 😊
