I've been using Cakewalk for many years and never bothered to ask this question on the forums but is there a way to auto punch in without punching out? it gets really annoying when working on sections as a progression and not needing to have a punch out time.

Back in pre Bandlab days, I could arm a track and turn on monitoring and hit play with the metronome and practice. Now it doesn't play at all unless there's something recorded on the track. Is there a setting I'm missing or is this no longer possible?
