great song....great work you guys did....the mix isn't really bad at all, archetypal sixties style....bass level sounds good to my ears....sounds like you have a sitar guitar happening in there....iirc, I think the wrecking crew ( los angeles' premier session musicians in the sixties) did the playing with only Jim (later Roger) Mc Guinn playing his 12 string electric Rickenbacker on the song 🎵 🎸🎹🔊

I dont have 12 string Rickenbacker so i use pitch shifter pedal to simulate sound.... Maybe guitar sound like a sitar because of that...

you are learning quite well....no engineer can fix a poor performance but there are no poor performances here, quite the opposite: great vox, playing, arrangements....very, very good results and finished song....enjoyed it 🎵🎙️🎸🔊

I agree that the most important thing is the volume balance of the instruments ....

  5. I mixed this cover song, I recently started school of music production and mixing, so I'm still learning skills .... I'm fascinated by oldies music, especially in the rock genre ..... Can anyone give me some advice regarding the mix? Thanks in advance
