In reference to a Melodyned Clip: Using the K command is not just muting the clip, but it is now completely disappearing! I assume this is a glitch?

I have tested it numerous times without the desired result. Don't want to have to add actual pre-rool bars at the front end of projects or have to enable an empty record track to do so. Am I missing something. If so, can somebody fill me in? Btw, don't get me wrong - this is still, hands-down, my favortie DAW of all time and will continue to use it no matter what.
