Okay, I tried the Bass Guitar Free Demo, and oh wow, it uses over 6 GB of RAM. There is absolutely no optimization, and half of the interface did not work. yeah my misgivings were right, this is pure ordeur.

Personally I've found Aria Sounds to be subpar. Their London Strings were the worst thing I've ever bought. I'd rather look for other female choirs than waste money on their products.
What's wrong with them?

There's something fishy about how they're just offering everything for a really low price. It's not even due to the COVID-19 pandemic, those prices have been there for a while. The website's design also reminded me of the design of the website that Sonex used to have.
I also tried their free demo for their Hybrid strings library and have been disappointed with how their "fully functional" engine with 3 presets offered in the Demo download is completely bunk. The rack and meters does nothing. The only functional bits are the mixers. Their presets also contains sounds whose ranges are all over the place and often have very abrupt transitions. So my confidence in them delivering anything of quality is low.Needless to say, buyer beware, always check the demo out first.

Just to let you know, purchasing the $20 tier will make you eligible for crossgrade pricing for each of the involved instruments, which is great because Strum GS-2 is 50% off on Plugin Boutique until April 8th which will also net you the SoundSpot Creative Mixing Collection if you make a purchase this month.

Oh damn, right after I got the Palette Brush Pack! APD, you spoil me.

Here's hoping that more libraries get ported over.

Well, I pulled some strings (heh) and managed to acquire the brush packs. This is gonna take a while to download...

Oh. Yeah.
I think Melodics is pretty vital, since it has the solo and smaller combos that you could use to make more detailed arrangements for your compositons. The others are a bit more optional, but also nice to have, especially the runs and arps.

I usually skip on pianos: I have Pianoteq, which I find caters for my piano needs. It's a good cause though.
You can never have too many pianos, tbh.

@Freyja Grimaude-Valens send in a support ticket. They have had bad samples before and people sent in support tickets and they fixed them.
Done.

These on the house libraries are really good if you're looking for something a little bit different. They're quite unique in that way. Their libraries are top notch too, I bought the 8Dioboe during the winter sale and i was blown away by how good it sounds.

I got it. While I already have plenty of Piano instruments and plugins, helping out with the COVID-19 relief effort is also a good cause.

That would be the fair thing to do. They seldom do that. In my case they didn't either. Someone needs to grow a pair....anyways. I'm glad it all worked out and you're back in now. I'm not sure I would want to go back. Let them see how much traffic you likely brought there for them. Then again, why let one individual with a corn cob up his hiney ruin your day.
They shouldn't just restore Larry's account, they should also fire the admin responsible for the mishap.

THIS is the reason that "resale ability" and "resale price" are so important to me.
If I buy a plugin for $100, and then decide that "it's not what I need", then I need to
be able to get the majority of that money back. Sadly, most companies are NOW
making that virtually impossible! This FEE and that FEE etc...etc...and LOW resale
price makes plugins a BAD investment for ANY Studio Owner...let alone us "hobbyists"Capitalism in a nutshell, they gotta make money out of things you do even after the sale is done.

I had a chance to play around with this, and I found a small bug in the sample presets. The Berlin Grand piano sets have a few samples that were clipping at the beginning, and certain samples in the sets have an uncharacteristically loud hiss that is more noticeable when the pedal is pressed down. I managed to fix the clipping by increasing the attack time to 13-15 ms, but not sure how to fix the hiss.

It took a couple of hours, but my order on the Tom Thumb Piano got proccessed! :D

I think I'll stick to Surge and Full Bucket synths. It's pretty clear that as good as it is claiming to be, it's being sold purely on clout rather than the merit of the program itself.
-
Yeah, nothing from Orchestools One is loading for me. The stuff I imported from ST 2.5 to ST 3 works fine tho.
-
I remembered that they had The Book of Sounds collection on the VST Buzz deal a while back. They also have freebies on offer for newsletter subscribers. The free Kontakt library is nice, though it's nothing I haven't heard from most synths.

This is a good deal, especially for Ozone Elements alone.

Has anyone tried running this on Windows 7? What's the verdict on that?
