I can appreciate the work that went into that, over and above your starting point.

Nice. Clear. Love the contrast of the MIX controls.

The "baby blue" highlight works well against the mid-grey.

I see you're going for the balance of "not too light, not too dark", a brave goal. (It does make me wish for "contrast/bright" sliders as featured in Studio One, I always thought that was a nice way of allowing a user preference without introducing UI anarchy.)

I recommend re-visiting the color of the volume sliders for Tracks. The "Grey on Grey" isn't working, IMO. Maybe White or Light Grey for tracks?

    Great work.

I appreciate the inputs. I also noticed the sliders are a little mixed up. I will try to change it.

  2. Hello guys. I just recently finished making my own theme for my projects. I would like to share this because someone asked if I could post it, if I will make one.

The base UI for this theme is from the FLAT_WHITE theme. Thanks to @Colin Nicholls for making it.

    @chris.r

Not completely inspected for overlooked color assignments. There are some few drawbacks for the colors selected but I believe this works for my workflow. Merry Christmas everyone.

In addition to auto-save, set up versioning see http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=0x20A26

File > Revert to select and load a previously saved version.

Thanks for the info. Does this also treat the auto save files as temporary files, where they will be automatically removed/overwritten by the program?

  4. Hello guys. I would like to propose a feature that would allow users to enable a separate auto save file. This will be very useful in many cases especially in crashes or even when the user accidentally overwrites the original project, making it easier save the original by using the auto save recovery file.

This feature is very useful in other softwares like blender, a 3d modelling software.

I hope cakewalk would soon have a feature similar to this in the near future. Thanks.

  5. Hello guys. I would like to propose a lock toggle feature that would allow users to zoom out the track view X axis & Y axis at the same time.

Currently I bleieve you can only zoom out axis separately through hotkeys or buttons. This would be helpful in cases where users would like to have a better control zooming in or zooming out inside the track view UI.

    Thanks.

Hi @John Paul Anthony Dela Cruz,

According to my PURPLETRATOR theme, that feature can't be re-coloured:

You can, however, turn the separators off, which is how I usually roll:

That was the only work around I also found too. I guess I am asking too much from the theme editor that I want almost all of the elements to be editable but I guess there are some reasons to it. Thanks.

Pretty much everything except for some colors can be changed, provided you retain the dimensions of each graphic element.

Hey man. Can I ask if there is a possible way to edit this one? The black divider/border in the track view section seems to be not available in the theme editor. If that is right, is there a workaround on editing that part of the theme? I was planning in making it a little lighter. Thanks.

Thanks, I will try. I am thinking of making a complete flat UI for my cakewalk theme. 3d shadings are also great but it would be nice to have a fully flat UI whre the knobs dont have any bevels, or emboss. Similar to ableton live.

Update: Found it to be a little challenging making those knobs flat. Especially the sprites/animation clips.

  9. Hello guys. I would like to propose a feature that would allow the user to easily navigate the theme editor by including an actual reference of the theme UI. Currently the only possible way is to browse around the editor to find the element you want to edit. This is a great workflow already but this new feature would probably make it easier especially to those users who want to quickly select and edit a specific UI element.

I am not to familiar with theme editor in cakewalk but I was planning to make my own flat theme. I am not sure if that is currently possible but it would be nice to have all the bevels, emboss, and shadows to be override/removed to have a flat UI. I am also currently having a hard time identifying if those UI element I have selected are the right ones. I hope it would be added soon if possible.

    Thanks cakewalk dev team.

@John Paul Anthony Dela Cruz, hold down CTRL while making the assignment on one of the selected tracks... the others will follow. Works in both Console View and Track view.

Yes, the feature is called Quick Groups

Read more about it here http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Mixing.43.html

    In Track View

Select Track - Go to the Tracks menu at the top - Selected Track Outputs - Then you can assign them all to a Buss or wherever

  11. Hello guys. I am not entirely aware if cakewalk already has this feature but it would be nice to have the option to multiselecting tracks to assign to one bus/channel.

Currently you still have to select each track to assign it to a specific output. This is not an issue to smaller track projects but in large scale project with a heavy amount of tracks, multiselecting tracks to assign them to one output by only the right click property once would probably make everything much faster and easier.

    Thanks Cakewalk Dev Team.
