  1. thanks Jim,

I am looking at their Loyalty Bundle

The page seems to be saying $699 for only $199, and I believe it includes Ozone 9 Advanced, but at the bottom of the page the price show $349. Just wondering if anyone knows if the $199 bundle actually includes Ozone 9 Advanced. If so, it a great deal as it is on sale by it self today for $249. https://www.izotope.com/en/products/tonal-balance-bundle/what-s-included.html Any help much appreciated.

  2. I thought I had 22 songs recorded, mixed, and ready to release, but I am concerned about the output level.  For some reason, I have gotten into the habit of pushing the level as high as possible without clipping using a Brick Wall compressor.  The mixes sound good, but I brought in  reference tracks of other commercial mixes like Bill Joel, Maroon 5, country artist, etc. and they all seem to be much lower than my mixes.

I think I may be pushing it too hard.  What is the general acceptable level on the meters?  Most of my mixes are all the way to the top, but without clipping.  Any suggestions are most welcome.  I hate to do it, but I think I may have to remix everything again.

    Thanks

Hi Frank, I saw your earlier post that you had to re-install Sonar Platinum and Cakewalk by BandLab due to a Windows re-install. I assume that you recovered Sonar and its associated plugins via Command Center.

There are two things you will still need to install manually from 3rd party websites, in addition to all of the Command Center content.

The licenses for XLN Audio Addictive Drums 2 and Celemony Melodyne were included in the Sonar bundle, but you needed to go directly to their respective websites to redeem your licenses. They are not installed via Cakewalk Command Center.

In the case of XLN Audio, you will need to install their XLN Online Installer, which will install the licensed products from your account onto your computer.

Thanks for the input.  I have Melodyne, but didn't have xln audio.  I was able to install it thanks to your instructions.  Not sure if I have all of the other goodies.

  4. I recorded a piano track using my Yamaha keyboard with midi.

I now want to add other sounds like strings, bass, etc.  When I change the sound from the piano to something else it changes the midi track that I've already recorded from piano to the new sounds.  I've tried different midi channels, but nothing seems to be working.

    Thanks

  5. I recently had to completely redo my computer reinstalling Windows 10 Pro.

Almost everything is back up and running.  Now ready to lay down my keyboard parts, but when I plug in the USB as I used it does not come up in Cakewalk under midi devices.  In the task bar on the bottom right it show midi activity.  I had set this up a long time ago, and I guess I forget how to do it.  I am going to Edit, Prefaces, Midi, Devices, but it does not show up.

    Any help much appreciated.

  6. I had to redo windows on my workstation.  After I have reinstalled Cakewalk via, Band lab assistant it appears I am missing a lot of effects and modules.  I was able to install Command Center, but just not sure if those are still valid programs to install since it goes back before band lab.  Should I install all of the things that came with Sonar Platinum like the Classic Creative FX Suite, Engineering FX Suite, Studio Instruments Suite, Artist Instrument Collection, Platinum Instrument Collection, and so on.

I'd like to get Bandlab back to where it was before I had to reinstall Windows.

As an example, I am missing things like SessionDrummer (Synth Rack)
    BT BrickWall BW2S-3 (Bus: 'Master')
    BT BrickWall BW2S-3 (Bus: 'Vocals')
    BT BrickWall BW2S-3 (Bus: 'Drums')

I tried to install the Classic Creative FX Suite, and got a message Cannot locate the required version of the program on this system.  Install the correct version of the program to use this pack.  I assume that means I must install Platinum now.  Just not sure if that will screw up Bandlab some way.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thank you!

The good news is that it probably hasn't anything to do with the upgrade.

"Static" is often used for many meanings, so it's not a particularly helpful description. Do you hear garbled playback, or a steady hiss?

Are you using WASAPI or ASIO, and what are your buffer sizes?

Thank you for your reponse, I am using ASIO, I am hearing grabbled Audio, and Cracking sounds.

Thank you for responding, yes I hear gabbled playback, and not hiss, but static.

  10. When I open my projects, I am getting nothing but static now.  This has never happened before.  I just did the upgrade that was available.  I suppose that has something to do with it.  Any help or suggestions are most welcome.

    Thank you

  11. I have some mixes that I created that I had the Vintage VC-64 Plug in.  I believe it was in Sonar 6.  It no longer comes up now when I open the songs in the latest version I have of Bandlab.  Is there a way to get it back?  I used it on the master channel and did master mixes with it.  without it my mixes sound very weak.

Or is there a new and better plug in already available that I can use on the master channel?

    Thanks

  12. I recorded a song yesterday at 84 bpm.  I just sound too slow.  I have only recorded a basic keyboard part, and a short intro into the 3 minute song, along with bass, acoustic guitar, and a lead vocal.  I think I realize now it is dragging.  I'd like to increase it to 100 bpm.  I watch some videos online and it says to just change the tempo which is what I did, but it doesn't work.  I am about to just go ahead and re-record everything at 100 bpm.

I'm I missing something that can save me time?

    Thanks

  13. Yes in the track pane.  Sorry I feel like an idiot.  I have been trying to watch youtube videos to learn.  I just recorded a midi piano midi channel one.  it worked.  But, now I'd like to try some strings.  Looks like I now have to add a new midi track and set it for midi channel two right?

So duplicated a midi track, and I got strings to come through channel 2, but as I play the string it is layered with the piano sound.  I saw something about turning of echo in one of the videos, but I don't see echo in band lad version.

    Thanks

  14. Thanks for the information!  I believe I downloaded and installed this about a week ago, I just now went to use it and found it under insert drums.  I also found Addictive Keys under soft Synth.  Is Addictive drums better than session drummer?  And is Addictive Keys better than Cakewalk TTS1?

I have several songs to record.  I am trying to set up a usable template with everything I need.  I am having a lot of problems with Cakewalk TTS1.  I'd like to use different sounds on different tracks, but can't figure out how to route it correctly.  If I record a piano let's say on midi channel 1, and then try strings on Channel 2 it changes the sound of the piano to strings.

    Any suggestions are much appreciated.

    Thanks
