  1. A little while ago someone on this forum commented that all my music was the same and that I never sing, this should set that record straight. As the longer term member here know Wookiee signing is dangerous, it not lethal, to none Wookiee life forms, which explains that in the main. However in this tune, created in CbB, there is a Wookiee vocal that could be fatal to some. I thank those who are brave enough to risk their lives if not their hearing. https://www.bandlab.com/post/2ea86cbd-4230-ed11-b494-000d3a3ee5f3 Drip, drip, drip, Bit by Bit It Slips away Drip, drip, drip, Bit by Bit Less and Less each day Less and Less each day Drip, drip, drip, Bit by Bit More Slips away Drip, drip, drip, Bit by Bit Smaller and Smaller still Smaller and Smaller still Drip, drip, drip, Bit by Bit Slip Slipping away Drip, drip, drip, Bit by Bit Gone for evermore Gone for evermore Drip, drip, drip, Bit by Bit Steeper the slide becomes Drip, drip, drip, Bit by Bit Slipping away from here Slipping away from here Drip, drip, drip, Bit by Bit She Slips away Drip, drip, drip, Bit by Bit She has Gone away She has Gone away Drip, drip, drip, Bit by Bit Her mind has Slipped away Drip, drip, drip, Bit by Bit Her mind has gone away Her mind has gone away Her mind has Slips away Her mind has gone away Toys Used. 4. I thought I'd try an easy Hendrix song while waiting on inspiration for an original. It turned out to be a Lot more of a challenge than I had anticipated. I adlibbed the leads but tried to hit some of the high points. Any advice on the mix would be Greatly appreciated. Thank You .. mark This is a REMIX Thanks for your help ! mark

  5. I don't use it other than a cursory play with it out of curiosity but I think it's a great idea to make it easier for any of these App based music makers to transition into the DAW world, Keep them in the eco-system

  15. On the plus side, I reckon that rather than being "over" this will lead to something of a renaissance of it's use by the many, many people who already have it and have had it for so many years that they have largely forgotten all about it in favour of the newer, shinier things that have come their way, They will fall in love with it all over again.... Because, as we know....... Wait for it..... A little longer...... Absynth makes the heart grow fonder. No, you get your coat.

  16. I'm pleased to present for your enjoyment, a new theme I call Apple Scruffs. I started with the legacy theme, Logical (many thanks to Erik aka Starship Krupa) and then I tried to fold in as many elements of that "other" DAW as I could muster. https://www.dropbox.com/s/2g987va1teqig8f/Apple Scruffs.sth?dl=0 Cheers!

  17. Hello to all my CW friends! It's been a long 6 months since I've had much spare time, but here I am with a new song. I recently purchased Waves Harmony and used it on this song to experiment a bit. It's fresh off the press and can be found here: https://soundclick.com/r/s8mawa I managed to listen to some of the new songs here from time to time, and I've been very impressed. I would like to have commented many times, but time has been precious this year. Thanks in advance for your time and good ears! Lynn 9/28/22 Thanks to my co-producers here, I remixed the percussion, smoothed a few rough edges, and slightly rearranged the beats. I also lessened the f/x on my vocals a bit and raised the bass gtr a tad. I think this helped to get me closer to the end.

  18. The long promise you have been waiting for. As an owner of a Liquid Notes license from Re-Compose, you should have previously received an email from us regarding its future. In that email, we mentioned that Liquid Notes was now owned by W. A. Production and would no longer be supported/developed. We also informed you that W. A. Production would provide you with a future product containing technology from the Liquid Notes plugin.

  20. Should be subtitled "Groove on a G for 5 minutes", this is a new track that's going to be on a forthcoming album "Dusty Starbursts and Luminous Quasars". https://www.bandlab.com/xoospacemusic/lumineferous-aether-db6c4981?revId=e6a27fae-2932-ed11-b494-000d3a3ee5f3 It's the first track I've played bass guitar on for a few years, so I may have over-egged it a bit in the Rickenbacker department.

  24. Just curious as to how much are you really saving by waiting ~9 months for the next (maybe?) GroupBuy? Won't the list price then be $179 instead of the intro price of $139? Won't the cost of the "Evolution Complete Bundle upgrade" also increase after the intro period? And ~10% inflation? Maybe I am just bad at counting beans, but . . . "installed" (c) 2022 Bapu

  27. What do you mean? I don't game much, though I might, but I do intend to do heavy video editing plus I'm getting like nine 4tb drives. Just kidding about that many drives, but this daw will be as much a video editing daw as, well, a daw daw lol. This will also be my last build for the next maybe 8 years. What's wrong with getting a super powerful GPU for all that?

  28. Deal: 76% off "Minimonsta" by GForce Software Value: €119 Discount: 76% Price: €29 Grab the deal now on http://www.VSTBuzz.com Minimonsta is an award winning, highly detailed and accurate emulation of the original Minimoog® instrument with heaps of attitude. Think of it as a mini emulation on steroids because, until the Minimonsta, numerous clones simply attempted to copy the original instrument and then add one or two features such as polyphony and another LFO, the Minimonsta takes a radically different look at this vintage masterpiece and operates on two levels. It comes with over 6000 factory patches (including many from Rick Wakeman). All original features including 3 oscillators and the famous 4-pole, 24dB/octave filter. Additional LFO & ADSR for modulation of almost every parameter making it the most programmable one yet. Grab the deal now on http://www.VSTBuzz.com!

  31. I used to feel that way. But I have noticed lately that some music programs and plugins with an active and animated GUI tend to make use of my GPU. So there's likely a case to be made for a discrete GPU in a DAW to enhance performance. Every time I see my GPU use percentage bump up, I'm glad that my CPU isn't bearing that extra graphic processing load and has a GPU to offload it to. Definitely do agree that they are way overpriced now, especially the high-end boutique models. I can typically build a PC for the price of one of those, LOL!

  32. They say Gene Krupa is the guy they were all trying to play like. John Bonham - Ginger Baker - Mitch Mitchell - Keith Moon: All say this guy was a big influence on how they played. Maybe that's why they all rocked so hard.

  35. Considering the new libraries, NI is clearly more heavily pursuing younger musicians playing more current genres as opposed to the dad rock and older genre folks like many of us here (me included). I was an Absynth fan from day one, but frankly, I haven't used it in a long time.

  41. Very effective with the visuals, love the synth-y sweeps/FX too. The accidentals* really help with the spacey feel. I liked that - well done! *in the music theory sense; not in any way suggesting unintended notes got in there.

  42. You can move the licenses to the cloud (if, for instance, you want to park them while you do a system rebuild), but at this point, very few licenses will work from the cloud. The plug-ins have to be made to use the Cloud License feature. iLok Manager will show you which ones can be fully cloudified by the little icon to the left of the license name.

I like the way you used continual panning movement, and the music through the whole piece is very majestic . . . visually reminding me that the universe is both scary and beautiful out there. Thank you NASA, thank you Bjorn !
