  1. Once again, Bapu, you beat me to posting here. While working on this acoustic guitar library, it quickly became my favorite. It really gets that sound of the guitar with super old strings that you don't change because they have a certain magic to them.

  2. The addition of The X -Time , The X -Space , The X- Drive and The X- Vibe as promo give away items may have sent my poor fractured lost soul over the edge and put me in serious legal jeopardy . I have just spent the whole morning talking with a detective in a locked interrogation room . The authorities have charged me with cruelty to my pillow . I have no Idea or recollection of what exactly happened last night but I am told I put my pillow in a choke hold while whispering and professing my desire to have and hold dear a few of the X - Series Pedals in Amplitube 5 . My pillow was OK w that up until a point. It was when I started drooling on all 4 corners of my pillow and when I accidentally ate the pillows warning tag that put me in uncharted waters w my pillow . Apparently I had crossed the line by going there . Lucky for me I was only given a warning by the authorities . It turns out the main condition of my continued freedom solely rests on my ability to get a hold of The X- Space and The X- Time plugs for use in Amplitube 5 . Yep that's what I'm gonna have to do 😉 Kenny

  3. Yes, I found those yesterday and they were added this morning after the IT/web team verified, added, and tested. Enjoy! UNO Synth MSRP is $/€199.99 so you'd qualify at that level with UNO Synth. Correct, that should also be stated in the email that is received (the "Restore My Purchases" part) since I noticed it wasn't there. Thanks for the compliments about the X-GEAR pedals!

  4. I'm up to date w my Amplitube 5 , the product Mgr and all the essentials . Your post help me clarify something I hadn't done . Normally when ever I open up the Custom Shop I'm using the standalone version . I opened up The Custom Shop in Amplitube 5 and i was able to get The X - Space all hooked up and taken care of as per your suggestions . Thank you so much for helping me sort this out . I do appreciate it ☺️ Yes I now have it sorted out . Thank you for your suggestions ☺️ Amplitube 5 on my machine takes a real long time to open up. Once it is open it's pretty snappy . In the past any time I have opened up The Custom Shop from within Amplitube the whole GUI was simply way to intrusive for my tastes . I guess I'm just gonna have to bite down hard on a stick and practice some deep thoughtful breathing when ever I have to open up The Custom Shop from within Amplitude . I like Simple 🤪 Oh Man I Love this IK X - Space software stomp . Thank you for adding The X Series to the Group buy ..There is no question in my mind that I would love to have the hardware version of this X - Space plugin . When the funds permit I hope to be able to go there . all the best, Kenny

  7. Best bet is to look in custom shop. Search for X-Space in CS and you should see a green circled check mark showing you have it. If you do and it is not showing up in AT5, you should do a 'restore my purchases' in CS, that should do it. Individual pieces of gear do not show up in your list of products, only collections. One other thing, if your AT5 version is not 5.1.0 or greater it may not show up the X gear. The release notes for 5.1.0 states that X gear support was added. But be aware that for some people, myself included, the new version came at the cost of double cpu usage. IK support is aware of the problem, hopefully it will be fixed.

  9. Websters says "marked by the ability or power to create : given to creating." In my older age, I have a tighter definition than I used to. In order to be "creative," a person must actually create things. Otherwise, all we're doing is creating thoughts inside our heads, and anyone can do that. The fact that my thoughts are about music or visual art instead of, say, car stereos, doesn't make me creative any more than thinking about boats would make me a sailor. Part of this attitude comes from dating "art girls" who came equipped with a portfolio of projects they did in art school, and who looked and acted the part, but after I got to know them, I noticed that they never actually created anything. Well, except for confusion and bitterness in the minds of people they were involved with. 😂 It's just a label, anyway. Or a conceit. Bottom line, create something. The process of actually doing so tends to stimulate more ideas and more creations. Even if they're for nobody other than me, I'm fine with that. I would ideally like to share my creations with others, as I have enjoyed the creations of others. But that's not mandatory. Making music makes me happy in and of itself and that's enough. Anything else is gravy. YMM certainly V!

  11. We're excited to present Evolution Dry Relic, the latest addition to our Evolution series that features a vintage steel string acoustic guitar outfitted with old, worn-in strings. The guitar has a dark, earthy sustain with just a glimpse of brightness in the attack, and is sure to add a unique character to your music. Evolution Dry Relic is normally $179 USD, but until October 20th you can pick up your copy at a special introductory discount of $139. Use the link below to watch the walkthrough video, listen to audio demos, and get all the tech specs. MORE INFO

  12. Playing now, it sounds great. I love it. This thing has a ton of character. And within 20 seconds of playing it, I immediately thought of a song it would fit perfect in that I just started working on recording. It's a great addition to the Evolution line, @Greg Schlaepfer. It's up to the standards of the other Evolution guitars and its character is quite different than all of the other acoustics -- it's absolutely beautiful in its own distinctive way. It's inspiring. Thanks, my friend, this is superb.

  14. The MT drums sure gave it more power but , really lost that laid back feel. Maybe just some additional hits on the 2 and 3 is all it needs. The vibe on the 1st version worked so much better. "Unbelievable" you've been producing these wonderful songs with headphones in your dining room . Amazing .. mark

  15. Downloading now!!! Excellent job of filling in for Larry, @Bapu. Hopefully, someone will be doing a post on deals on external hard drives soon. I suppose I can wait until Black Friday, but storage space is getting iffy, which I don't think is exactly rare among members of this forum!

  16. Some requests to speed up keyboard workflow and usability for the Bounce to Track(s) dialog box: It should accept the "Enter" key as OK (as the old box...) It would be great if focus could be on Destination when the dialog opens (as the old box...) Underline specific characters for quick ALT + character focus jump Have a focus highlight that jumps around when you jump focus with TAB See GUI mockup below: Pretty please...? An example of my fast keyboard workflow with the old box: Press (my personal customized shortcut) CTRL + T for Bounce to Track Press Arrow up/down to select destination track Press Enter to start bounce To get a really polished application, I think we need a little more attention on small (but important) usability things, like keyboard shortcuts, dialog box focus and underlined shortcuts (for fast usage with the ALT key).

  17. This to me is what is great about the software music world. I haven't been buying anything for a while, and am even looking for stuff to sell. But something like this comes along as a free upgrade. Essentially it doesn't change the sounds much. What's new are all these insane sequencers and arps, some driven by probability. So you can take every preset you have and feed them through these things. For example, Falcon has always had these cool Euclidean drum and tonal sequencers. Very hard to explain what they are, but they are very easy to play with. They come with presets so you can just select one and stand back. But this update adds Euclidean Keys, which means you can have them do these complicated sequences within a key set by you. Curious to find out what a Rain Sequencer is. But it doesn't matter. It's so easy just to run stuff through these things and find out what they are. And finally, you can now record the MIDI in any of the Falcon sequences and use them with anything .

  20. It's quite odd with PA's system that the $50 voucher is more of a penalty, instead of an additional reward. They really should do something about this. An easy fix would be: - if your cart value is at least $75, it works as a$50 voucher - if your cart value is above $32 but below $75, it works as a $25 voucher

  21. You don't have to register any serial number. Once you've finished selecting them as your 'promo' items, open custom shop, click 'restore my purchases', and leave it open. Then open Amplitube 5 and they should be there, ready to use (you won't need Custom Shop to be open past this point). You need the latest version of Amplitube (so update it in the Product Manager if it shows an update available), as it contains the actual installation for the new plugins. I just want to say that these are awesome, and IK... thank you so much for adding them to the group buy !!! If you were, like me, awestruck by the quality of some of the Neural DSP effect modules included in their plugins, these are very close to those. To me, an amazing addition to Amplitube.

  26. While (possibly) still working on the export features, how about an insert silence (in milliseconds) option? I have seen this requested before for cakewalk and for several other DAWs that I follow. I am sure it would be easy to implement and would save multiple steps outside Cakewalk for many people having to reimport or use another audio editor to add a few tens of milliseconds prior to the track starting.

  28. I remember some Cakewalk users reporting some issues, but I saw those before I updated, so I waited. IIRC shortly after the issues were reported AAS had a follow-up update that fixed those issues. The two that I updated this time around (Chromaphone and Objeq Delay) haven't had issues so far; nor did they cook dinner, wash the dishes, or tuck me in at night. 😛 YMMV.

  29. Larry, Ambient pop. I like the concept. The intro is a bit long and you have those 4 notes repeated throughout. They would make a nice background if you lay something on top. Also the timing seems a bit off in places. But overall it's very promising for sure. -Bjorn

  33. Hi Try this: copy the track/clip - it should be copied with the automation. Then grab the end of the clip and just drag it to the right a few bars (just roll not stretch) where there is no more automation dots or lines. Then grab the beginning ot that clip and also drag (roll) it right till you drag it out from under the automation envelope. You should now have a naked automation line without the clip left in the track and next to it on the right a piece of clip with no audio and no automation on it. Then delete that piece of clip- and there you are left with only automation. Write if it worked for you. 36. You can already drag and drop from the Browser directly to Sitala. Also drag a clip from an audio track to Sitala. The latter is nice for if I decide to switch over to triggering Sitala for one or all of my samples instead of having them in audio tracks. This also works with Speedrum Lite.

  37. May be this is what you are searching for: (from Help): "Use Multiprocessing Engine. This option is grayed out unless you have a multiprocessor computer. If you have a multiprocessor computer, check this option if you want Cakewalk to use both processors at all times. If you do not check this option, Cakewalk still uses the second processor for some tasks." More info here: http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=0x22B19

  40. Good suggestion! Unfortunately, I got into the Group Buy a few weeks ago at the $149 level and upgraded my Amplitube collection first. Sorry for not making that clear in my post. The good news, I can still pick up a couple of nice synths with the freebies I haven't used yet!

  41. You can back up the zip files, yes. The download is what expires not the use of the samples/sounds themselves. Personally I back up the actual installed uncompressed folder structure so it can be more "portable" but that takes up more space. 42. Oh dear, I was afraid of this. Curses on you @LittleStudios! 😄 I'll write more later, but preliminary results indicated an audible benefit to either enabling 2X oversampling of the plug-ins or rendering the project at 88.2. It's similar to the difference I can perceive between <256 MP3's and FLAC's. Individual elements sound more discrete and there's more apparent depth. Switching the 64bit engine on while rendering made no change that I could notice. I did renders of the same piece with and without upsampling at 44.1, then with and without 64bit. All renders were to 24-bit WAV's. Repeated the renders again at 88.2. So the potential for highest quality would have been 88.2 with 2X upsampling using the 64-bit engine. More about how that turned out later.* I enabled upsampling on both the synths and the fx, I imagine that I could narrow down which plug-ins make the biggest difference via trial and error, and I would start with A|A|S Player and Phoenix Stereo Reverb. The audible difference seems to be the same for both states, the version with the 2X upsampled plugs sounds pretty much the same as the one rendered at 88.2, at least in the wee hours of the morning through my speakers. I'll do more listening tests tomorrow. *Weirdly, I did have one synth plug-in severely and repeatably misbehave when I enabled both 2X upsampling and rendered at 88.2. The bass arp track, which is A|A|S Player, starts emitting bad notes. The notes still sound, but one of them is off key when it cycles through the arp. Another synth also possibly sounded off rhythm with those settings, but it might have been that the bass arp was the culprit and was throwing me off. They sounded fine with all the other permutations. Conclusions so far: try rendering the same project at 88.2 or 96 and compare it to itself rendered at 44.1 or 48, because I hear a difference, and I was carrying a healthy skepticism going in. I'm actually biased against hearing a difference, because I would rather not have to concern myself with more settings. I have the suspicion that the improvement comes at a certain threshold and that 4X upsampling or rendering at 192 wouldn't make a further difference. It might, though, I haven't tried it yet. I can't draw any conclusions from the 2X/88.2 render because it's out of tune. Except it does suggest that my concerns about possible negative effects were well-founded. Now I'm really interested to know what @Noel Borthwick makes of my impressions.

  44. More fine songwriting here; as always. Tone and ambiance on the solo guitar is a “treat”; well done! I’m not hearing a top hat; is that right? I think to Mark’s point that would help “drive” the tune along. (bear in mind my ears are not what they used to be, and I’m listening on Bose cans so?) As to “pitchy” vocals, we can only do the “best” we can.... (it takes one to know one, and I have a boatload of “know” when it comes to “pitchy” 🙃) All in all another “heroic” production! (see what I did there?) t would have left comments and a “like” over at SoundCloud, but sadly SC and my phone don’t get along.

  47. If your going to do a lot of this I highly recommend getting a simple interface with Loopback. I found this one around $100. https://www.steinberg.net/en/products/audio_interfaces/ur_series/models/ur12.html

  48. I have used OBS for a few years now . I always have it on my second monitor and the pre view is always on. The audio part has been the only difficult aspect and I had to use WASAPI shared. But now with my Motu M4 and the loopback I can keep Cakewalk in ASIO mode and I have a volume slide for my mike and for Cakewalks playback. The above video is redundant if your interface has loopback which is for anyone doing screen capture of a DAW almost a must have feature. Sure it's a complicated program. It's actually, when you think of it, just like Cakewalk,, free and fully featured. But there's lots of videos on how to use it. But that's only half the battle. You will also want to purchase a movie editing software and for that most of us are using Vegas Movie Studio. There's lots of great tutorials on that as well. What I like is I can use my VST plug ins on the audio track.
    1 point
  49. The trick is to deactivate the OBS preview after fittting all together in OBS so your CPU has more power left to encode the video file. And if you use the same resolution for the screen and the recorded file the CPU won't need to render this up or down... Have fun 😉 PS:
