  1. Once again, Bapu, you beat me to posting here. While working on this acoustic guitar library, it quickly became my favorite. It really gets that sound of the guitar with super old strings that you don't change because they have a certain magic to them.

  2. The addition of The X -Time , The X -Space , The X- Drive and The X- Vibe as promo give away items may have sent my poor fractured lost soul over the edge and put me in serious legal jeopardy . I have just spent the whole morning talking with a detective in a locked interrogation room . The authorities have charged me with cruelty to my pillow . I have no Idea or recollection of what exactly happened last night but I am told I put my pillow in a choke hold while whispering and professing my desire to have and hold dear a few of the X - Series Pedals in Amplitube 5 . My pillow was OK w that up until a point. It was when I started drooling on all 4 corners of my pillow and when I accidentally ate the pillows warning tag that put me in uncharted waters w my pillow . Apparently I had crossed the line by going there . Lucky for me I was only given a warning by the authorities . It turns out the main condition of my continued freedom solely rests on my ability to get a hold of The X- Space and The X- Time plugs for use in Amplitube 5 . Yep that's what I'm gonna have to do ? 3. Yes, I found those yesterday and they were added this morning after the IT/web team verified, added, and tested. Enjoy! UNO Synth MSRP is $/€199.99 so you'd qualify at that level with UNO Synth. Correct, that should also be stated in the email that is received (the "Restore My Purchases" part) since I noticed it wasn't there. Thanks for the compliments about the X-GEAR pedals!

  4. I'm up to date w my Amplitube 5 , the product Mgr and all the essentials . Your post help me clarify something I hadn't done . Normally when ever I open up the Custom Shop I'm using the standalone version . I opened up The Custom Shop in Amplitube 5 and i was able to get The X - Space all hooked up and taken care of as per your suggestions . Thank you so much for helping me sort this out . I do appreciate it ☺️ Yes I now have it sorted out . Thank you for your suggestions ☺️ Amplitube 5 on my machine takes a real long time to open up. Once it is open it's pretty snappy . In the past any time I have opened up The Custom Shop from within Amplitube the whole GUI was simply way to intrusive for my tastes . I guess I'm just gonna have to bite down hard on a stick and practice some deep thoughtful breathing when ever I have to open up The Custom Shop from within Amplitude . I like Simple ? Oh Man I Love this IK X - Space software stomp . Thank you for adding The X Series to the Group buy ..There is no question in my mind that I would love to have the hardware version of this X - Space plugin . When the funds permit I hope to be able to go there . all the best, Kenny

  7. Best bet is to look in custom shop. Search for X-Space in CS and you should see a green circled check mark showing you have it. If you do and it is not showing up in AT5, you should do a 'restore my purchases' in CS, that should do it. Individual pieces of gear do not show up in your list of products, only collections. One other thing, if your AT5 version is not 5.1.0 or greater it may not show up the X gear. The release notes for 5.1.0 states that X gear support was added. But be aware that for some people, myself included, the new version came at the cost of double cpu usage. IK support is aware of the problem, hopefully it will be fixed.

  9. Websters says "marked by the ability or power to create : given to creating." In my older age, I have a tighter definition than I used to. In order to be "creative," a person must actually create things. Otherwise, all we're doing is creating thoughts inside our heads, and anyone can do that. The fact that my thoughts are about music or visual art instead of, say, car stereos, doesn't make me creative any more than thinking about boats would make me a sailor. Part of this attitude comes from dating "art girls" who came equipped with a portfolio of projects they did in art school, and who looked and acted the part, but after I got to know them, I noticed that they never actually created anything. Well, except for confusion and bitterness in the minds of people they were involved with. ? It's just a label, anyway. Or a conceit. Bottom line, create something. The process of actually doing so tends to stimulate more ideas and more creations. Even if they're for nobody other than me, I'm fine with that. I would ideally like to share my creations with others, as I have enjoyed the creations of others. But that's not mandatory. Making music makes me happy in and of itself and that's enough. Anything else is gravy. YMM certainly V!

  13. The MT drums sure gave it more power but , really lost that laid back feel. Maybe just some additional hits on the 2 and 3 is all it needs. The vibe on the 1st version worked so much better. "Unbelievable" you've been producing these wonderful songs with headphones in your dining room . Amazing .. mark

  14. This to me is what is great about the software music world. I haven't been buying anything for a while, and am even looking for stuff to sell. But something like this comes along as a free upgrade. Essentially it doesn't change the sounds much. What's new are all these insane sequencers and arps, some driven by probability. So you can take every preset you have and feed them through these things. For example, Falcon has always had these cool Euclidean drum and tonal sequencers. Very hard to explain what they are, but they are very easy to play with. They come with presets so you can just select one and stand back. But this update adds Euclidean Keys, which means you can have them do these complicated sequences within a key set by you. Curious to find out what a Rain Sequencer is. But it doesn't matter. It's so easy just to run stuff through these things and find out what they are. And finally, you can now record the MIDI in any of the Falcon sequences and use them with anything .

  17. It's quite odd with PA's system that the $50 voucher is more of a penalty, instead of an additional reward. They really should do something about this. An easy fix would be: - if your cart value is at least $75, it works as a$50 voucher - if your cart value is above $32 but below $75, it works as a $25 voucher

  18. You don't have to register any serial number. Once you've finished selecting them as your 'promo' items, open custom shop, click 'restore my purchases', and leave it open. Then open Amplitube 5 and they should be there, ready to use (you won't need Custom Shop to be open past this point). You need the latest version of Amplitube (so update it in the Product Manager if it shows an update available), as it contains the actual installation for the new plugins. I just want to say that these are awesome, and IK... thank you so much for adding them to the group buy !!! If you were, like me, awestruck by the quality of some of the Neural DSP effect modules included in their plugins, these are very close to those. To me, an amazing addition to Amplitube.

  25. While (possibly) still working on the export features, how about an insert silence (in milliseconds) option? I have seen this requested before for cakewalk and for several other DAWs that I follow. I am sure it would be easy to implement and would save multiple steps outside Cakewalk for many people having to reimport or use another audio editor to add a few tens of milliseconds prior to the track starting.

  28. You can already drag and drop from the Browser directly to Sitala. Also drag a clip from an audio track to Sitala. The latter is nice for if I decide to switch over to triggering Sitala for one or all of my samples instead of having them in audio tracks. This also works with Speedrum Lite.

  29. May be this is what you are searching for: (from Help): "Use Multiprocessing Engine. This option is grayed out unless you have a multiprocessor computer. If you have a multiprocessor computer, check this option if you want Cakewalk to use both processors at all times. If you do not check this option, Cakewalk still uses the second processor for some tasks." More info here: http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=0x22B19

  30. For goodness sake, please start using directory junctions instead of messing with the registry and preferences. They are much safer, easy to setup and don't require any changes to the registry or preferences. If you need help with directory junctions ask or search this forum for mklink or the old Cakewalk forum (use Google, site:forum.cakewalk.com mklink scook) There are plenty of worked examples and details on how to use mklink. That said, I do change a couple of paths in preferences instead of creating junctions. The reason being, I don't want the installers to write into the paths. The two I change are drum maps and project templates. The installers update the default locations only so using custom locations for these two areas prevents them from being overwritten by updates. There are a couple of arp paths. In HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\Cakewalk\Core\UserPaths is ArpPresetFolder the default value is C:\Cakewalk Content\Cakewalk Core\Arpeggiator Patterns in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\Cakewalk\Core\ContentLocations is PTN MIDI Patterns the default value is C:\Cakewalk Content\Cakewalk Core\PTN MIDI Patterns

  32. Hello Makke....Thank You very much....i enjoy your music very much....if i may, about the guitar between 3:16 and 3:38, i am playing, at the position of the first fret, 5 chords in this order: A7, Amaj7, A, Amaj7, Fmaj7, so it's a deliberate dissonance that sounds acceptable to my ears....but, apparently, not everyone else's??....my thinking was to use the G string as the moving bass notes (G, G#, A, G# for 4 beats then to the Fmaj7 for the next 4 beats) as somewhat reflected by the bass guitar (the bass guitar couldn't get away with it, so to speak, too much dissonance and not enough harmony, so the bass is playing G, G, A, F / F, F, F, F more or less)....cheers!!!! ????

  35. I kind of understand the question. I believed the new 'Amplitube X-Gear Pedals' where Amplitube effects put into an hardware pedal. You must admit the name suggest that. And certainly the name of the effects in these pedals, that correspond to some AT5 effects, suggest that too. So it is fair to think that you could reproduce the same sounds using effects in AT5 and that the pedals emulation would not be that useful if you already had everything in AT5. Easy mistake to make. But as @Peter - IK Multimedia puts it, they incorporate new algorithms. Or at least reworked algorithms. They must at least be based on some of the existing stuff a bit, as I am sure IK is building upon its extensive experience. So, if you think that these are different enough, then it is not 4 new plugins, but more like 64 new plugins you are getting since each incorporates 16 pedal variety! They are even nicer to get if you don't already have these effects in your AT5 arsenal. But you may also think, with all the effects you already have in AT5, these could be a bit superfluous. Scratch that, wrong forum! ?

  36. Thank you and note I may have missed a piece of gear that isn't in any collection nor in any version of AT5 / MAX. I'm verifying and if I am indeed missing that gear (I don't think I need to remind anybody here that I'm not infallible ) it should be added tomorrow morning and I'll let you know.

  41. You can back up the zip files, yes. The download is what expires not the use of the samples/sounds themselves. Personally I back up the actual installed uncompressed folder structure so it can be more "portable" but that takes up more space. 42. It's a perfectly valid attitude, very few musicians can wrap their head around the concept. Even fewer can actually come up with the goods consistently. But relating back to the OP , when there's deadlines involved and you have to pump out a lot of music in a variety of genres you don't get the luxury of waiting for your muse to grab you. Creativity is like a muscle and the more you work it the easier it becomes, a lot of it is to do with overcoming resistance and procrastination. I don't think it's especially age related , maybe the end result is different at different stages of life but I make more music now than I ever did in my teens / 20s / 30s

  45. Yeah, tried that, but didn't work. I did, however, get a letter from NI Support, saying this: "Dear customer, we are aware of an issue where certain effect plugins remain in DEMO despite of being activated as full version in Native Access. The issue is known (bug: DAEM-1570 - Effects keep asking for activation) and our colleagues in development are aware of it. We have found the root cause of the issue and we are expecting to release a hot fix at the middle of next week." So, it's a bug! And NI is on the case.

  46. Your settings look correct if you wanted to have separate midi tracks and then instrument tracks. Are you recording to the midi track? You will only get a wave form if you recorded to the instrument track by mistake It’s a little used option most people want midi as data so they can edit
    1 point
  47. The drum map should be set as the output of the MIDI track NOT in the step sequencer. When using an instrument track this may be accomplished by clicking on the MIDI tab in the track inspector to access the MIDI output drop down.

  49. Lol! Why would you insist and assume that we have the same taste in food, when I've already said we have different taste in "cars, food and clothing."? That will always be the reality. I love the Sonitus delay, you dont - AKA "different taste." Every mixing engineer has it's own taste in plugins. I'm not agreeing, nor am I disagreeing on the free plugins. Reason for that is . . . There is better plugins, but than there's not too. Again, it's about taste.
