  14. What kind of elitist wants a speaker with their amp? ? And @RSMcGuitar, totally agree about the presets. They're a nightmare in terms of gain matching.

  15. I was kinda disappointed when I bought the Orange collection. The presets and volume on some amps are all way out of wack. I definitely like Amplitube, but the one thing I don't love is that all the collections use different generations of audio engine (or whatever the proper term is) If and when Amplitube 5 comes out it would be nice if the amps were all brought up to the same quality level. It's pretty hodgepodge as it is now.

  17. Very clever of Tracktion to move their old freebie over to ujam where they will have much more luck giving it away. And it only costs $159 to get the full version!

  18. I know it's kind of a silly point because it's free but why say... Installed Size 1.9GB (7,500+ Samples) it's actually 750MB and 7230 samples - it always feels like they are boasting

  21. Tom this is great - I love the lyrics and personally I think they sound totally sane to me not leftist at all..........and at the moment I am stuck in Cape Town (well actually I'm stranded, can’t get back home to Barbados until goodness knows when) Unfortunately what goes on here sometimes (I did say sometimes!!) makes The Donald almost seem normal!! We have had for the past 5 weeks an army enforced total lock down - you are only allowed outside to buy food. Which is OK for me as I have a house and some money but for many millions in South Africa the reality is no food and being kept in your squatters shack 24/7 - we have already killed through starvation, other illness, hunger or the Police / Army more people than have died through this Covid virus............and in two months we have only had 86 covid related deaths So is Covid a jolly good excuse for a silent coup d’état - we do so love a good coup d'état here in Africa!!!! Many of our songs have a political message so good on you I say!! Great job Nigel

  23. It's relatively easy once you understand the basics. I'd first suggest to read any documents or do searches so you understand what a copyright actually is & what it covers. You're registering the right to claim, it's not a guarantee of ownership. https://www.copyright.gov/ For U.S. copyright start by going here, signing up & doing it online at their eCO website. https://eco.copyright.gov/eService_enu/start.swe?SWECmd=Start&SWEHo=eco.copyright.gov One tip is you can make one registration to claim both the sound recording ( SR ) & the underlying work (PA) using a single SR form if you've created both. If your work is unpublished you can submit 10 tunes using one SR (for a single fee of 65.00, the rate was just increased btw). Basically you fill out the form, pay the fee then upload the content. (Wav, mp3) After a month or several you will receive the copyright document plus it will also be listed in your eCO account. Hope that helps..

  29. Addictive drums 2 came with Sonar Professional (with 1 ADpak) and Sonar Platinum (3 ADpaks) If you had either Sonar Professional or Sonar Platinum, you can still use it with Cakewalk by Bandlab simply by installing it using the instructions that came with those Sonar Professional or Sonar Platinum. You can still log on to you Cakewalk account at https://www.cakewalk.com/My-Account/Products to get the instructions for those products. If you did not have either Sonar Professional or Sonar Platinum, you can purchase Addictive drums 2 from https://www.xlnaudio.com/products

  30. Just to confirm that you need the full N4 commercial edition for these to work, not the free N4 player. His compressors are the best imo even compared to all the acquas. RA6 for tons of character as well as Sum100. Opto3a and U76 for great LA2A/3A and 1176 emulations. Actually can’t go wrong with any of it, tapes are amazing and best ITB distortion is SCS power distortion

  31. @Jon White I just don't have problems with the audio engine itself. Cakewalk works the same for me regarding reliability and dropouts as other daws. Just my experience. It is true that i can out drive my computer so i try to keep with the times, even if computer upgrades for me are slower than I'd like. For lots of purposes I'm able to live around 3 to 5 ms of latency with no dropouts. Not for heavy synths though. The computer can't do the work in time. Regarding cutting voices, one of the tools for staying real time with synths is reducing voices and this is described in this video.

  32. Yeah, very good stuff, for Kontakt, but also for hardware like my upcoming Kurzweil ? And a lot of his instruments have been ported to the UVI Keys Suite, if I’m not mistaken.

  40. Several options: - Set the intermedate size of the multidock larger by dragging the divider up. This will be the default size whenever it's opened. - Shift+D to maximize the multidock. - Don't ever close the PRV tab. Use D to open and close the maximized multidock, and use the PRV tracks pane to change tracks. - Undock and 'unfloat' the PRV, maximize it, and Ctrl+Tab between it and the Track View. - Define a screenset with an undocked, floated and maximized PRV (full-screen), and switch screenset with number keys. - Various combinations of the above are possible, also.

  41. Looks like you are using the mouse scroll wheel to change the input gain. That doesn't work with Quick Groups, you have to click and drag the knob (or faders) while holding down CTRL key.

  43. I have a few of their libraries -- including two phrase based ones: Grosso and Vivace. The other ones I have are the various Ostinato libraries, and the more traditional multi-sampled libraries like Da Capo and Woodwind Ensembles. The phrase-based libraries have their moments, and every now and then they offer up exactly what you need to fill a gap in an orchestration. But that doesn't happen often enough for me, and aside from those instances, I find the phrase-based libraries are generally a bit awkward to use. I much prefer their multi-sampled ones (both Da Capo and Woodwind Ensembles are currently present in my main template, and I like them a lot). Your mileage may vary, but that has been my experience.

  45. At GearFest a couple years back, I got to meet Roger Linn... and he personally demonstrated the LinnStrument. Out of all the gear, (IMO) it was one of the coolest things we saw. Meeting Roger Linn... and getting to thank him for all his contributions to music/technology was also a highlight.
